Innocence defiled. Sticky pink bubblegum and the thick, sweet scent of orange and cherry lollipops smeared over a breath of heady womanly perfume.

This one is so much FUN. I keep some around just to sniff. I find it disconcerting to smell of candy, bubblegum and light perfume (with a surprising touch of spice!), but I love the way it smells in the imp. Simply fantastic. It's exactly what the description says.

In the bottle this smells just like pink bubblegum - too strong.

Wet - still bubblegum

Dry - turned into something delicious - I love this! Now it smells like sweet mixed with pine. I ordered a bottle.

I had been dying to try this so I finally ordered an imp and I got it today. I loved it so much that I tacked on a bottle with my update order!

I can't do florals so the 'perfume' promised in this scared me a lot but luckily, all I got was sweet and innocent bubblegum! I can even smell the powder that is on each piece as you pop it into your mouth! There is s a slight cherry tartness in the background. It's just too much fun!

wow wow wow

I can NOT handle thi-is..

it's like I'm getting punished by being changed into a humangos bubblegum ball

like in the old Willy Wonka movie

I had to actually wash it of.

and what on earth is that spicy stuff I still smell???

oh and after being seriously into BPAL for over a year I think this is my first hate scent

well, it had to happen once I guess

I got frimped this baby TWICE from GirlinDenial

In the Imp: This is Bazooka bubble gum (definitely Bazooka.. that's why there's that slightly spicy note.. dunno why, but that's exactly what Bazooka is like!). I kinda get the lollypops, but no "womanly perfume. "

Wet: Straight up Bazooka.. spot on! Boy did I chew a lot of that when I was younger.. this is totally taking me back.. And I agree with MineralGirl, I even get the powder on the gum too!

As it dries down I get a bit more of the lollypop notes, but still no perfume.. I actually really dig it as pure Bazooka  I'll have to wear it a few times, but if it stays pretty true I could definitely see a bottle in my future

A gigantic punch of sticky sweet pink Hubba Bubba or Bazooka gum. And quite an intense punch. It's insane how much this smells exactly like bubble gum. And it's cheeky and sassy, not innocent and flowery. The perfume-y note is buried way underneath all that bubble gum. This is incredibly strong and I'm hoping that the superintensity of the bubble gum note backs off a bit and this mellows out. I am starting to notice the spicy note that others have noticed and it's something like the cinnamon red hot candies as opposed to the spice itself. A fun, strange little scent.

Ohmygoodness. This was super strong and supersweet on wet. It smelled like cherry lollipops and chewing gum. As it has dried, I get more of the 'womanly' perfume, but it's still sweet and the lotus gives it a mild aquatic feel.

If you want to like Candy Phoenix, but it was too sweet - give this a whirl.

this was my first purchase of a bottle and imp from the bpal forums.

at first whiff - like a bubblegum lollipop you want to crunch through in 4 milliseconds to get to the chewy middle x 1,000,000 very strong

wet - somewhat subdued a smidgen but it still smells like cherry lollipops and gum

dry - after a few hours its more subdued and just a sweet delicious smell. i wanted to chew my arm off and was asked by several 5th graders in my daughters class what i was wearing. heh.

LOVE THIS STUFF

A friend sent me a sniffy of this (in the form of a Q-tip in a plastic bag) when she was passing along a bit of Dorian, and I have to say I will never be able to review what it smells like on my skin, because it is WHOOMPH bubblegum straight up and I couldn't bear to put it on. I forced myself to do some more in-depth sniffing, and I could just baaarely make out a note of what seemed like fruit to me (not QUITE the apple the sender suggested, nor the cherry I keep seeing pop up... I have no idea what it was), but no spice, and not even the faintest whiff of womanly perfume. Just bubblegum all up and down. Which would be great, if I wanted to smell like bubblegum, but I don't. If YOU do though, this is spot on for you. XD

In the imp: like most everyone else, this is straight up pink bubblegum. While a nice scent for bubblegum, I'm reluctant to try it on.

On me: still pure bubblegum for the first five minutes or so. I can start to pick out other notes, but not what I was expecting. In the end this turned to a rather nice spicy perfume, which was quite unexpected.

Overall: quite a morpher, but in a pleasant way. Not really my thing when it's in its gum stage, but really nice in the spicy perfume stage.

Jailbait

In the imp: ...this is... interesting. It's bubblegum, without a doubt, but there's also something spicy that gives it a fun, flirtatious and slightly sexy hint.

On my skin: It fades from bubblegum to pure sugar and spice. It's playful and yummy, cute without being too cute. I was put off by the sweetness, at first, but I'd definitely invest in more of this now that I know what the dry-down is like.

Sniffing the imp, this is all gacky sweet bubblegum.

Applied on my skin, still very sweet bubblegum initially. As it dries, I can now smell the orange and cherry. Fortunately, on dry down, the bubblegum scent fades and I'm left with oranges and cherries and a bit of spice. Light and pleasant.

Very bubblegum for about 30 seconds then turns slightly spicy and a bit weird with that plastic note that's in so many foody blends (Jack, Drink Me etc.).

2/5 Not for me.

I was completely hesitant to try this. No really. REALLY hesitant. But I loved the name, loved the way it made me snicker and remember my band days with Bozo Porno Circus. Fair enough! I got this as an imp from a friend, and I figured I may as well break out of my shell a little and try it.

In the bottle: Whoa. That's some serious sugared bubblegum, and definitely the kind you get with a packet of Garbage Pail Kids. Stick-like, powder on it, and even that slight tang if the gum has been inside the card wrapping too long (LOL plastic/coating sorta taste).

Wet: Cripes, it's like diving into a ball pit where they replaced the balls with THAT GUM. I couldn't even smell the orange or cherry at all, but after a while, I realized that the bite this one has IS the orange and cherry.

Dry: And just like the gum, it faded away until there was nearly nothing left but the powder taste in my mouth about four-five hours later. This could be because I'd only dabbled a little bit on my wrist and neck to test it. All in all, I kind of dug it. It made me feel slightly naughty, and whenever anyone asked what that "delicious smell" was, I just giggled.

Starts off omg!bubblegum, but quickly morphs into an incredibly spicy scent, in the same clove-y family as March Hare turns into on me, almost Old Spice-y. Definitely not for me.

When I first opened the imp, Jailbait was ALL bubblegum and I got scared.

However, upon application, this is delicious without being sickly sweet. It smells like a musky blowpop with a smidge of spice. Really quite wearable and not too candy. I'm impressed! And buying a bottle. I can easily see this as one of my heavy rotation scents. :D

In the bottle: wow... yes that is exactly the smell of real pink bubble gum.

Wet on my skin: sugar rush!! Still very bubblegummy...

Drying: The bubble gum is receding a bit now, there are other sweet smells coming out as well. Maybe some cherry? And it's getting just a touch of spice.

Dry: Yep... mostly bubble gum with a little bit of other sweetness and just a touch of spice. I like it, but I don't know if I like it enough to keep the whole bottle.

In bottle: Pink bubblegum! I can smell a bit of the “womanly” undertone – kind of a slight waft of musk beneath the pink sweetness.

On me: Pink bubblegum! Not so much womanly undertone while on my skin, I don’t think. I like it, but it’s not the best thing I’ve ever smelled – I guess I would give it a B. It dries down to a soft, warm, dusty bubblegum smell that stays close to my wrist.

The boy said it smelled “harsh” and “like a machine shop.” He seemed to like the name, however.

In the bottle: Oh wow O_O This must be what concentrated bubble gum flavoring smells like!

Wet on skin: Bubblegum for a second then... Cherry cough syrup!? I resist the urge to run to the nearest faucet in the name of science and bubblegum, but only barely.

Dry down: Thank goodness! The cherry has moved back to blend with the bubblegum. Still a little sickly-sweet for me, but I won't trade it off just yet.

This is all tasty pink sugar on me. :yum:

I love it, but it's not what I'm looking for in a fragrance, so I'm probably going to turn it into lotion and add it to other things so I can enjoy that fantastic smell. I'm starting to drool

Sniffed: Pale yellow oil. STRONG! Quite sweet and little overwhelmining. Bubblegum strongest first, definitely pink and artificial, followed by fake-cherry candy and a hint of orange. Someting heady and floral distantly in the background.

Wet: Same, but more pleasant - nostalgic in how exact the bubblegum note is, down to the powdery coating of new pieces. More orange and less cherry; still fruity but in a playful as opposed to sickenly fake & cloying way. A heavy cologne/perfume note emerging more...

Dry: Dries rapidly and holy moly, starts turning very musk. It's becoming much more mature and complex, what a tease! Also, I'm getting a spicy note, a light cinnamon I believe, giving this a 'red' feel. As opposed to the bright pink feel earlier. The cherry and orange fruit are more real and much more pleasant.

Summary: Cinnamon - spicy and red and a little sweet, but not a crazy dominating cinnamon with faint powdery bubblegum and light fun fruits. There's a definitely undercurrent of somewhat heady cologney-perfume, and I suspect ylang ylang. Good throw, fades a bit.

Bottle: Bubblegum! Perfect bubblegum replication scent. This should come with one of those minorly lame little comics you got folded into the bubblegum.

Wet: I get a whiff of the orange lollypops but this remains overwhelmingly bubblegum.

Dry: Some spice comes out--getting cinnamon. Still getting the warm, bubblegum scent. This is fun. Just a casual, high spirited sort of scent. Not overly complex but definitely the sort of fun thing you can wear to a casual party or just out on the weekend.

Throw: Mild.

Overall: I always forget that I have and like Jailbait because the name gives me pause for wearing it at the office (where, admittedly, I pretty much live). It's a super fun scent and incredibly evocative if you want to try a scent that is unapologetically literal about its scent inspiration.
