Fantastic. The leaves are the ones from October - musky and dry yet colorful? Hard for me to put into words but definitely not green. The Red Musk sparkles like the one used in Bloodbath. So beautiful! Neroli gives this blend just a touch of a bitter (in the best possible way) and sweet floral lift. The drydown is similar to wearing October over Bloodbath minus the patchouli and rose...spectacular and I might just have to get another bottle.

In the bottle: Sort of musty and sharp, like a synthetic version of dead leaves. Wet: Almost herbal, very earthy. Dry: A very natural dead leaf smell, not musty or unpleasant, but I'm only getting a suggestion of honey and no oudh at all After about half an hour, it feels much more rounded out, but the oudh still isn't as prominent as I'd like. Very wearable though and it's definitely a keeper.

One kiss of clay-cold lips: frozen white roses, frankincense, white gardenia, white sandalwood, and vanilla orchid. Another beautiful blend from this update. The frozen roses are beautifully red, yet laced with ice crystals. Not overwhelmingly so, but noticeable. The gardenia is very prominent throughout the blend. The sandalwood and frankincense give it a nice grounding base. The vanilla orchid gives not only a touch of sweetness but a hint of that hot house feel I get from orchids. Overall this is a soft sweet floral blend, with a hint of something ... darker. But only a hint.

In the bottle: This is a spiced cider, but the spices don't seem to be as intense as they were in last year's Autumn Cider. I'm hoping that this will cooperate on my skin, unlike the aforementioned scent, which burned. Wet: This is really juicy, and the spices are increasing in strength the longer they sit on my skin. I find this one to be reminiscent of the Trading Post's Harvest Festival atmosphere spray, in that it reminds me of fruit punch. Dry: This becomes less punch-like after sitting on the skin for a while, but I still think it leans towards punch more than cider on me. There is a big red area on my skin where I applied it, so I guess the spices in this one don't like me. Verdict: I keep buying cider scents because I'm always a slut for apples, and I love apple cider. Alas, my skin seems to be too sensitive for these scents. I'm going to retest this after it has had more time to settle, because I feel like my skin is just really dry right now, so I'll see how that goes. However, I have a feeling this one will be passed onto a friend that adores spicy scents. As far as the scent goes, this doesn't come close to my favorite apple-y Weenie, which happens to be Lambs-Wool. I hope that one returns next year, as I'm about to break into my back-up bottle.

Is there any room at your head, Willy? Or any room at your feet? Or any room at your side, Willy, wherein that I may creep? A scent of unendurable grief and longing: pale orris root and honeyed white lily chilled by wild carrot and cognac, pulled into a winding sheet of white jasmine, tobacco flower, tuberose, and patchouli. First impression: strong white floral, reminds me of the little bathroom soaps that are for decoration only (soapy, but really nice soap). I didn't like it at first. After a couple minutes, when I bring my wrist up to my nose, I can smell a very strong booze note, the cognac I suppose, that worried me at first. After a while, the booze faded back a lot, and I get a balanced floral/booze/patchouli combo. I don't think the patchouli is super strong, but I like patchouli and sometimes don't even notice it. It's here but just giving an earthy base to the powdery floral and chilly booze notes. If you amp patchouli and don't like it, there might be enough here to turn you off. I was hoping for a little more sweetness from the tuberose and jasmine, but it's mostly austere orris and lily to me. I think the tobacco flower is contributing to the soapiness. Summary: chilly white floral with booze, soapy and a little powdery, with an earthy patchouli base. I wish it was just a little sweeter but it is very ghostly, reminds me of something else from bpal - maybe Sepulcher? But I couldn't wear that, it was just too high-pitched and soapy. This is more balanced, I like it.

Attributed to Luis Paret y Alcaza Black lily and black pepper with narcissus, white musk, and white sandalwood. Lawd, lawd, this is pretty. Very much a classic perfume vibe with the high toned florals, the dry white sandalwood, and my beloved white musk - but with an unexpected kick from the black pepper. In the middle stage I get something that almost has an astringent quality, but then it smooths out again and settles into a slightly musky, slightly spicy floral. If you like lily and/or narcissus, you should try this.

A metallic bronze, glowing like oak leaves at sunset. Origin: Straight from the Post Initial Thoughts: When wishing for potential Weenie polishes, I mentioned wanting something like Oneroi in orange or bronze. Puddin' listened. In the Bottle: A very rich coppery bronze with a subtle glitter texture. One coat:This one really only needs one coat. I got a full, even coverage with just one round. It continues to be a lovely bronze, a couple shades darker than a new penny, with tiny twinkly glitter in it. Verdict: Keeper! And maybe another bottle for good measure.

Sweet red wine, blood orange brandy, summer honey, white figs, black grapes, Marasca cherries, and a twist of plasma. In the bottle this smells very much like wine, sort of like the red wine in Obsidian Widow, but on the skin the sweetness of everything else blooms. I love this one.

A raucous, fiery glitter, all pumpkin orange with glints of vine-green. Swatched at Will Call. Definitely a fiery glitterbomb. Gold, bright orange, and red-orange glitters, accented with tiny pinpoint black and green glitters. I seem to remember a bit of a holo flare; little red holo and gold flecks, maybe? Halloween on a nail! Much brighter and more orange than the photo on the site (on my monitor, anyway). One coat was good but semi-sheer coverage, and two was solid glitter. I'm sure you could do some great layering with it, too.

The hot, electric orange of distant fires. Origin: Straight from the Post Initial Thoughts: This doesn't appear to be one of my favorite shades of orange, but I wasn't quite sure based on the website photos. In the Bottle: This is bright, hot orange. Very flame-like. One coat: I wasn't expecting this to be so watery to apply, but it does go on smoothly. One coat *might* be enough, maybe. Two coats: This turns out to be rather easy to work with. Full coverage is achieved and it goes on quite evenly. Verdict: It's a nice polish to work with, but I'm not sure I'll keep it. It's quite orange.

I am not a fan of reviewing first, because I'm pretty much a terrible reviewer, but I will give it a go for the sake of anyone waiting for reviews. I removed the spray top to sniff from the bottle directly. In the bottle this is beautiful, the sweetness of the fig and the richness of the cacao really come through, with just a hint of resinous copal. I sprayed twice on the ends of my hair. Once dry, I got no cacao, no fig to sweeten it, just earthy dry dead leaves and copal. To me, copal is a little bit masculine, it's not my favourite resin. I'm sad that the beautiful cacao and fig that are so evident in the bottle don't shine through on me. I guess my chemistry kills them. I will likely be swapping my bottle. I took a gamble on this, knowing I'm not a big fan of copal, and hoping this would be mostly cacao and fig with the dead leaves. Hopefully those that really like copal with love this!

Sylvia was their ringer, natch. Weremusk and carnation with coconut oil, verbena, vanilla orchid, lemon peel, and clove. Super tropical! I get mostly a brown, furry, fuzzy musk (of course!) and it's very heavily tinted with a tropical coconut. It's definitely a meatier, creamier coconut (so, like truly an oil, as opposed to fakey artificial sunblock smell). I get the verbena and lemon as a bright sunny tone, and since it's not on my skin it doesn't amp. The citrus lends a very tropical drink feel, so it's like a colada (but no pina?) The clove makes everything cuddlier, and I think it's the slight smoky sweetness I get at the end of the musk. Carnation is probably there, but I'm not reading that as forwards. I like this very much. It'd be perfect for early spring, summer... NATCH.

I'm a big fan of white musk, but given my love of patchouli and the heavier musks, I wasn't expecting this to be my favorite of the blends. The rich vanilla and light, airy white musk pair beautifully with the earthiness of the dead leaves, so it melds into this perfectly balanced swirl of leaves tumbling in a crisp autumn breeze.

If at midnight with a pumpkin light, You steal to your room unseen, In the mirror appears the face, Of your lover true on Hallowe'en Pumpkin seeds and candle wax. Yes please! I'm definitely in the Halloween mood, and this hits the spot. Not in a spooky way, though. Pumpkinholics like myself would likely find it comforting. It's very soft and unobtrusive. The pumpkin-wax combo reminds me a liiiiittle bit of a craft store candle, but it's so much better than that. The pumpkin smells like the same one from Gourd of Deprivation -- not too buttery, not too vegetable-ish, just enough spice. I can see this being a staple for the rest of this season.

Smooth, sweet, and mellow, with a gentle glowing quality. Not too heavy--something a little fresh (almost lemony?) keeps it from feeling sticky-sweet.

And I looked, and behold a pale gourd: green patchouli and white pumpkin with yew berry, black cypress, white sandalwood, spectral niaouli, eucalyptus petal, and dry white mint. This is gorgeous. The pumpkin is present, yes, but it's not as thick or as cloying as pumpkin scents can be - it's quite fresh, unisex, and incredibly moreish. I could wear this all year round. I don't get a whole lot of sandalwood, or a very clear sense of mint, cypress of eucalyptus - I just get a sense of freshness with the creamy, comforting scent of pumpkin. I am seriously considering a back up.

Bottle: very piney on first sniff On my skin is has a wonderful transformation from wet to dry that smells like the stages of a wildfire. First I get a forest scent, but then the smoke emerges with a warmth behind it. Finally I'm left with a smoldering cedar fire scent.

Jean van der Velde II An evocation incense of frankincense, styrax, lavender buds, mastic, and white sandalwood mingled with moonflower, violet absolute, tuberose, and dark musk. I was wary of the lavender, because that notes doesn't always work well for me. It does indeed open up with a big blast of lavender, which put me a little off. After some drying down, however, the lavender subsides, and I'm getting a lot of the violet instead, overlaying the resins and the musk. Those are in the background and not too prominent. The tuberose is sweet in the background, too, but I'm not sure I'm getting any moonflower. Overall, it is a nice dark floral scent, but I will have to let it settle a bit more (this is straight out of the mail) before deciding whether I will hold onto the bottle, since the lavender is a bit too much in the beginning.

I am getting a soft, creamy floral from this - not sure what flower/flowers....jasmine? lily? Can't wait to see other reviews of this one.

Michał Elwiro Andriolli Brown leather, bay leaf, tobacco leaf, lavender, and oudh. The lavender definitely jumps out at me... I think because the bay and oudh are also kind of sharp and support it? Luckily I enjoy lavender. This scent is a little different than I imagined it, more green and thicket-y and less fuzzy and brown. Despite this, I quite like it! (As a side note, apparently I have very different tastes in 'weenies than everyone else? I don't think I've ever been first before. Lots of pressure. )

Apple with white coconut, fig, and tiare. This a nice tropical Apple scent. The scent is primarily red apple, lightly sweetened with coconut and ripe fig lingering in the background. Fresh, green and sweet!

An unfortunate electrical storm: lightning striking the tops of venerable oaks, Alpine moss tucked into dark mountain crevices, rain-drenched German chamomile and tulip, and a handful of wet, shy violets. Whoa. Like, this was totally unexpected for a Halloween update. I was thinking, beaches, pumpkins, blood, musk, yeah, Weenies! This instead is like a sprayable spring storm in the mountains. It seems light but there's a lot of complexity. Right off the bat from the nozzle it reminds me a touch of something piney, tree-like, resinous. In a way it's like Fae Forest but not nearly as lush, it's more the snap of lightning and rain spray over pine needles. The oak is not overpowering but it lends a very true forest-y feel to the spray. Moss is detectable as a roughness around the stormy rain. There's an element like Danube or Amsterdam in the moist aquatic tones. The violet is present, but it's not a violet-forward scent. They peek around, and with the moss and oak, really lend this a wild feel. I let it sit around in my bedroom for about half an hour, and it remains a complicated, airy, but extremely evocative outdoors scent. It lingers in the air like mist after tumultuous weather. Good god. I just bought four more. I haven't done that since Snow Bunny. If you love Fae Forest, Arkham, lighter versions of Black Forest, etc... you owe yourself this spray!

Saltspray on moonlit fur with a hint of palm, white fig, and lime. Salty aquatic. I get a little blast of lime in the beginning, but it burns off quickly. The sharp saltiness mellows out as it wear on. I'm not getting a fur note, but I do like this scent for sure!

Paul Mathey A debonair lavender fougere cloaked in smoky red musk, red mandarin, and oakmoss. In Bottle: Smells sharp, and mostly like musk. On Wet: Mostly smoke. It's still fairly sharp and herbal, like maybe Lavendar and Oakmoss are smouldering on a fire. It actually reminds me of Goblin Rider. On Dry: It's morphed a little. Now the Oakmoss is definitely more prominent, and the Lavendar is less apparent. The smoke is still strong with this one. And it really is similar to Goblin Rider, just more smokey, and maybe a little less woodsy.
