    Fall '13 Switch Witch Questions

My pintrest: http://www.pinterest...eteller/boards/ My amazon, etsy, etc wishlist: http://amzn.com/w/3F0132MYIB7XS Are there any GC scents that you love, but for whatever reason, you keep putting off buying bottles of? Snake Oil and Calico Jack are the only ones I can think of atm. Do you prefer to receive whole coffee beans or ground? Also, if you like flavoured blends, what sort of flavours? (caramels, nuts, chocolate, etc.) Either is fine, though ground is a bit easier. Any flavor is good, except for pumpkin spice. Chocolate, cinnamon, caramel, etc are all good. Is there anything you would like from the Blooddrop Halloween update? Apple Cider Doughnut (perfume/bath oil)*, Haitian vetiver, Graveyard Dirt, Tabac, Unhallowed Ground. Haus of Gloi yule update? Eggnoggin whipped soap or pumpkin butter, Gingerbread lip balm Nail Polish? I'm good, thank you! Makeup? I have enough to last several lifetimes. lol -Your feelings on Adagio teas: If you've never had anything from them, would you be open to trying them? If you HAVE had them and like them, name some favorites blends. I don't think I have, but sure! -Do you like video games? Are there any you want to play? Do you have a large library? I'm not big into video games, but something creepy might be ok (for PS3). -Name three BPAL scents you have tried, but are dying to get more of. Snake Oil, Rose Red, Ashlultum. -Have you ever tried anything from Paintbox Soapworks? Which products or scents would you prefer? Nope. Maybe the Queen is Dead hand cream but that's about it. -Do you like/have space to garden? If so, what do you grow? Nope. -Gift cards/vouchers - yay or nay? If you like them - which stores would you like one for? Yay! Body Art Forms, Target, Etsy, Amazon. --Seen anything lately that makes you go OH HOLY FUCK THAT'S AWESOME!! ? Yes, but it's expensive (a bag on etsy). --Name five small things you could use, but might not think to get for yourself? Not sure, will have to think about this one. I'll update my blog with an answer. -Is there anything from a farmer's market you might like? Honey Mom's etsy shop? The stuff is really cute, just not my style. Miskatonic update?Und Wir Dachten Der Toten sounds nice. If you were this mystery witch's witchee, would you be interested in Spoonfudge or any other such "ordered online" sweet? Never tried it, but sure. Home-made baked goods or other food stuffs OK? Not sure. I'm ok with it but dh is wierded out by it. So probably not. Cards Against Humanity? I'm not sure when I'd play it but it looks like fun. Is there anything you'd really like to have/try from Trader Joe's, or any other popular-but-not-available-everywhere store? Nope, we have 2 within 15-20 minutes from us. Would you rather have something fun or practical? I lean towards fun, but really either. Is there any craft project/s you are working on now that you need supplies for? Or rather, is there a craft project you've been wanting to do but need stuff to start? Nope, though I will never say no to a fun/unique project bag. Hair Sticks? I'm bald so...no. Table Games? Not really, but maybe something not too complicated that my 6 and 11 year can play with us. Spices? I don't cook, but maybe some popcorn seasoning? Haunt? Coffee Fiend sugar scrub, Tell the Bees anything, Incantare perfume, glossing oil, or sugar scrub. If you were my witchee, would you be interested in anything from my store or something similar? (Nut-made by LisaNut on etsy.) I knit so probably not. Say your witch works at a used bookstore. what kinds of things might you like from there? cool old pulp fiction paperbacks? tarot cards? (we have those.) a dr who pen? books about haunted cemeteries in seattle? you may have all of these things:) oh, and also movies. and cds. Books about haunted cemeteries you say? Sure, especially a Doctor Who pen or tarot cards. Lipbalms, glosses, etc? No thank you. I have enough to last several people several lifetimes. Jams, jellies, applebutter, etc? I don't really like them, but someone in the house will eat them. Dear future Witchee, did you get anything from the Beaver Moon or Weenie updates that I need to know about, so I don't accidentally repeat anything? Nope. Do you want anything from Starbucks or Teavana? Tea, tea makers, rock sugar, tea tins, coffee, via, via refreshers, mugs, tazo tea...? Any of the mate teas and I really need another one of their iced tea pitcher things. Do you love, hate, or are indifferent to.....pumpkin flavored things? Not a fan of pumpkin, sorry! WHAT traditions to you partake in for Halloween? Knowing what you do our how you decorate or how you celebrate? Yeah that can help me plot a box of goodness...or Doom We don't do a lot other than the usual trick or treating and birthday cake/presents (it's my youngest daughter's birthday). We do like to decorate (in fact, much of it stays up year round lol). Lots of skeletons/skulls, ravens, etc. in all styles. I really love DDLM and we usually try to do a little something for it. Halloween Candy, Decorations, and Costume supplies - What kind are your idea of FUN and which ones would you thoroughly dislike?I love candy corn (Brachs) and pumpkins! Also, pixie stix, fun size 3 Musketeers, Candy Apple Mars, and Snickers. I really dislike the chocolate flavored candy corn. Decoration wise, anything that can be hung up (we have run out of shelf, mantle, etc space). Nothing for costumes please. Hey, Witchee, it's getting cold. Socks, scarves, hats or arm warmers? I'm a knitter so I am overrun with knitted arm warmers, but wouldn't mind a non-knitted pair. I usually don't like scarves but after many years dh found me one I love so that's pretty much all I wear. A hat would be good (I shave my head so please something soft and stretchy) and maybe socks (knee high or above).

13 Nights of Halloween swap help

--What is your favorite Halloween/Trick-or-Treat candy and would you like to have it included? Candy Corn (has to be Brachs though, I'm a candy corn snob) and 3 Musketeers. Sure, but not too much. --How much edible stuff do you want/would you expect? A little something in every package? A couple of treats along the way? Not too much edible stuff as I've put back on a few lbs lately. Need to cut back on the sugar a bit. --Assuming that I have a budget of X, would you mind if there were one big package that is 1/2X with the rest significantly smaller, but still fun, or would you prefer a more 1/13X breakdown? I lean towards the first option, but really whatever is fine with me. --Reveal - would you prefer it in the first package so we can chatter about things as you open, at the very end so you can drag out the surprise, or dealer's choice? Dealer's choice. --If you've noted that you like coffee/tea/hot cocoa or anything of the sort, can you elaborate? Do you like/not like flavored varieties? Would you prefer whole bean/ground/bagged/looseleaf/instant/have-to-heat-it-in-a-pan-with-milk? Do you feel like you've answered this question over and over again? I slightly prefer ground, but whole bean is cool (we have a grinder). Love flavored, no preference as to loose or bagged, instant is cool. I'm pretty easy as long as it's yummy. Kitchen stuff? Say spatulas with skulls on or an apron with a Halloween theme (not that I'm fantasizing about making myself one from something like, say, this or anything) I don't cook and prefer to stay out of the kitchen. A Game of Thrones: are you a fan of the TV series? Have you read the books or would you want to? Tried the books and just couldn't get into them. Watched one episode a couple months ago and thought it was funny (I was told it's not supposed to be that funny lol). Might try it again but I'm not in any hurry. Would you like any home made jams? I can guarantee they are very yummy. I am not a jam person but dh and the kids like it. Decorative box? Probably not. We have a ton already, but if it's something unique or really fun, sure. On a scale from horrified to enraptured, how do you feel about this fabric? (ETA: if it were to be, say, a bag? >.> ) I like it! I think it would make a fun bag. -Both Sihaya Designs and Elements and Artifacts did updates this week - anything that interests you? From Sihaya, and of the wing earrings. They are all gorgeous. From Elements, I love the Open Grave necklace and the DDLM earrings. -I have a pretty massive farmer's market by me - is there anything that you would like from there? Maybe some honey? -Gift cards/vouchers - yay or nay? If you like them - which stores would you like one for? BodyArtForms.com, amazon, Etsy -Are there hot drinks that you like this time of year? If so, what would you like? Flavored coffees. -Seen anything lately that makes you go OH HOLY FUCK THAT'S AWESOME!! ? Yes, but all very expensive. lol -How about homemade infused vodkas? Nope, don't drink. -Name five small things you could use, but might not think to get for yourself? One of those cups you stick in the freezer then put your drink in instead of using ice (am I making sense? lol), popcorn seasonings, not sure what else. I'll think about it. Jewelry: Gold or Silver? Either, though I like copper more than gold. Whether you do or do not nail polish, would you be interested in nail wraps of any sort? Could be festive or not, any brand (in addition to things like Jamberry, there are plenty of other brands out there). No. I don't like stuff on my fingernails and I have enough for my toes. Would you like some home...made(?) fall pictures or photos to frame or put in a photobook? I will stalk the toads in my yard for you! Any particular things you'd enjoy photos of? Spooky trees, toads are cool, neat looking moths, stuff like that. Do you like plushies? Maybe. I would love an Alien/facehugger type one, but not sure what else. Lip balm: tin or tube? Neither please. Do you or would you burn incense? What kind? How about scented (or unscented) candlesWe can't burn incense anymore due to asthma and migraine issues. Do you prefer physical books, or would some form of e-reader book be okay? And if ebook, do you prefer Kindle, Nook, iBooks, or something else? Either would be fine. I have a kindle. I do have a lot of of kindle books like Lovecraft, Poe, etc. Oh, and are you okay with Graphic Novels/Comics? Sure, though I prefer the really twisted kind and horror ones. Skulls? Yes please! I collect skulls, skeletons, etc. Any and all. If I were going to make you a polymer figurine-or-pendant-or-earrings-or-..., is there any particular thing you'd like more than other things(ex: a tiny 'you', or witch's hat earrings, or a ghost pendant, etc.)? Not earrings since I don't really wear traditional earrings. Maybe a pendant? Something like a hatchet or body part? More gruesome than cute? lol Are there any books or short stories (or poems) you especially associate with this time of year or always want to reread in autumn? Not really Speaking of wishlists, and here is another question... could everyone please link to their various wishlists? http://amzn.com/w/3F0132MYIB7XS List 5 or 6 TV shows/Movies that you enjoy watching (and possible villains, if you can think of any): My list: Doctor Who (Weeping Angels, the Silence) Firefly Supernatural Alien series (love these, in fact I'm getting a xenomorph tattoo next year). Star Trek (not the new movies though ) Twin Peaks The Walking Dead I love movies like Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween, The Evil Dead, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Hellraiser, etc). Hated Candies? Black licorice, taffy, twizzlers, anything really chewy (like caramels). How sick a sense of humour can you cope with? I have a truly sick and twisted sense of humor. I highly doubt anything would go too far. Food items I would love to eat again? Not that I can think of. I'll give it some more thought though. Mixed cd? Sure. Bath and body companies? I'm open to trying whatever. Just no hair stuff (check out my avatar for explanation lol). Also, no face products please (my piercings can get irritated by certain things). What kind of tea do you like? Mate teas are just about the only ones I drink anymore. Vintage scary? Yes! Do you have any favorite Halloween/fall-theme animals? Bats. I do a lot of resin work, specifically, insects in resin. Would receiving one be horrifying? Okay? Interesting? Sure! Sounds cool. (just not roaches please) What type of cellphone/mobile, music player, reader, tablet, or other gadgets are your babies? What are your opinions on accessories for them? Hard/soft cases, decals, danglies, carriers, etc? I have a Samsung Note 2 but I don't need anything for it (not that they even make much for my phone). Fountain pens? Nope. Are there any animals, birds or bugs that you don't like, scare you, or just plain freak you out? For example, I had a co-worker who thought owls were creepy, and personally, I'm not a huge fan of cockroaches. There aren't any that scare me. though I found crickets, cockroaches and palmetto bugs disgusting, cicadas both weird me out and intrigue me (there are some kick ass cicada ear weights I'm saving up for), and spiders don't really bother me too much. Oh, and I hate possums. As for little plastic critters, no thank you. My animals have not been graced with much intelligence so they will try to eat them.

I really like cinnamon and pomander ball type scents for the winter. favorite kinds of tea (flavors, companies) I like just about any type of tea except berry flavored teas generally. I especially like mint, chocolate, and chai flavored teas. I love teavana, but my favorite tea place is a local one called Discover Tea. any of the Villainess autumn or winter soaps appeal? Another soap company you'd like more? I don't really need soaps, but anything moisturizing that I can use in the shower would be good. I like Villainess, but especially Cocoa Pink. Any of the bpal Halloween scents you wished you'd gotten? Any Yule scents you're hoping to see come back? Looking forward to Lick It coming back (I have every year so far). Sweets? I love dark chocolate and candy canes. Also, Pixi Stix which I can't seem to find anymore. Paintbox Soaps?I've never tried anything from Paintbox Soaps (I don't think?), but these sugar scrubs sound nice: The Queen is Dead, Heima (oh, the mints ), This Charming Man, and Blackbird. Any you love, hate, are dying to try? How about perfume with alcohol in – do you love all perfumes, do you dislike commercial brands but not mind the inclusion of alcohol if it's a boutiquey or fancy company with unique scents, or are you strictly oils? Ok, in addition to my question about the hand dyed things, particularly scarves (thanks for answering that btw, everyone who did....I wonder if it gives things away too much to say my swapper did not answer that question though?), I have another: I love dyed stuff. Maybe deep purples & greys or black. Are there any Yule type scents you like or don't like? Like do you generally avoid fir or evergreen scents? Or only like them in some things? (I have just finished taking an herbalism class and am on a roll with making herbal things....) Sure! Probably a hand cream/balm. Favorite Yules? Lick It's and Rose Red. What would make you smile the most? Tough question. I really love shiny stuff, so jewelry is always a hit (I have stuff on my wishlist, but it's pricier). Maybe a gift cert. to Elements Artifacts (even a small one that I can put towards something I want). I also love receiving yarn because as I knit w/it and then wear the item it's a wonderful reminder of the swap and the giver. But really just anything that the giver thought screamed me I would love and cherish. Do you have a Holy Grail BPAL? Something you long for but think you will never see? Badgers (please stop laughing, seriously). Would I like to share my Nightmare Before Christmas Swap loot with my Spouse/Kids/Pets? Considering I have 3 kids, a husband, and 7 pets it's not necessary. Want anything from holiday food companies? No thank you. Fandoms: Doctor Who, Star Trek, I have recently become obsessed with Firefly, and do horror movies in general count as a fandom?

Do you drink alcohol and if so, would you be OK with your witch sending you homemade infused vodka? Also, does your state allow alcohol to be shipped through the mail? No thank you. I don't drink Is there anyone else in your house (kids, pets, partner) that would really appreciate a small gift being included for them in the switchwitchy haul so they don't feel left out? Please don't feel that it's necessary. If you really want to, maybe just some chocolate or stickers. Probably a Day of the Dead cat or something fandom related. Is there a GC scent that's been on your list for ages but keeps falling off the bottom of your order because of the LEs? Not that I can think of. Are you OK with "special deliveries"? I'm not sure about this one. Let me think about it. What are some things you are OK with receiving gently used or homemade, and some things you absolutely do not want if they are gently used or homemade? As long as it's not a health hazard , sure. And now a new question: I live near a Mast General Store. It has lots of vintage-y toys, southern foods (jams, jellies, spices) and vintage candy. Is there anything I can get for you? If you have kids, what are they into? They are 14, 10, and 4 (will be 5 on Halloween). Their tastes vary of course but they have nail polish, Doctor Who, and zombies in common. How do you feel about wearable knitted lace? Shawls, wraps, and the like? I'm not big on lace and since I knit and have been on a shawl/wrap spree lately...well, let's just say I'm going to have a get a another dresser just for my knitted wraps. Zombies? Hell yes. Candy corn? mmmm.... Birth chart? No thank you. Bring back from Japan? Good matcha green tea. I like the sound of the different flavored Kit Kats. Maybe some fun Japanese makeup that I can't get over here. Earrings: I have stretched lobes, but I can still wear regular earrings as long as they are the hook style (not post). I prefer long/bigger ones. You open a box from the post office to reveal the 3 things you want most right now. What are they? (caveats: size doesn't matter, but they have to be tangible/buyable). Kollage knitting needles, BPTP Libra locket , and some surprise sock yarn (I love surprises!), What is your holy grail "I'd kill to just have one drop in an imp" bpal scent? I don't think I have one. Are there any existing Weenies that you have your eye on, but haven't gotten around to getting? I think Third Charm is the one I regret not ordering a decant of. My new job is at a consignment store where we have all kinds of designer brands for very reasonable prices. Are there designer clothes/purses/sunglasses that you desire/love? (Give some indication as to your "style" as well. For example, do you like bohemian-style frocks in lavender? Crossbody purses in black? Sunglasses that are round and bug-like?) I don't really have any particular designers I like (most that I know of are a bit stuffy for my taste and I don't really care about labels) but I do really like most Fossil bags (they hold up really well). I realize that we had a similar question in the ?aire, but I need you Witchee-s to list at least 5 items, each ranging $20 and under from Amazon.com or Walmart.com. http://www.amazon.co...=I2Q3NSEVJOFSVL http://www.amazon.co...=I3KRYPONL54S9A http://www.amazon.co.../ref=pd_sim_b_1 http://www.amazon.co.../ref=pd_sim_b_2 http://www.amazon.co.../ref=pd_sim_b_8 Favorite fandom characters? Spock and The Doctor (of course). I also really liked the Master (even though he was a villain I guess) and the Weeping Angels (also, not on the side of good, at least not ours). My Little Pony? Eh. Loved them when I was a kid but now? Eh. Lip balm - tube or tin? Either is fine. Would you like to receive a journal or sketchbook? How about other pretty paper goods like post-its, notepads, bookmarks, letter paper/envelopes? Not that I can think of. Are you interested in audiobooks? If so, any specific titles? No thank you. Bar soaps with some scrubby bits, yes or no? Scrubby bits are fine. Do you need any small electronic gadgets like flash drives and the like? Oh dear science, no.My husband is an IT person so we are overrun with that stuff. Do you subscribe to any sample boxes, and if so, which ones? Would you like to receive some samples? (perfume, eco/"green," skin care, hair, music downloads, cosmetics, soap...). I used to but wasn't crazy about them. Nudes? Not a problem here and either gender is fine. What's one thing you want, right now, that you're having difficulty finding? Pixi Stix. Seriously. I can't find them anywhere around here lately. Same with wintergreen tic tacs. Owls? They're cool, but I don't collect them or anything. What do you do to take care of yourself when you're having a rough day (sick, life not going your way, whatever)? Put on a good zombie movie or silly movie, bury myself under fleece blankets, knit and eat some sort of junk food (unless I'm sick, then it's crackers and seltzer). New JKR novel? Nope. Gardening? Not if I can avoid it. Witchee, do you want anything from the Haunt update coming up on 10/3? I know it might be too early to say, but if you could look at the preview on the night of 10/2 and let me know if you want anything... Batik glossing oil sounds amazing! Tinctures/salves? Salves would be fine, but no tinctures please. Is there something(s) that you consider too spendy or too frivolous for you to buy for yourself, but that you actually want? I would love something like this or this but I know I would never buy it myself. They are just so beautiful though. Lab/TP update? Ok, so I haven't been having much luck with the updates. I almost never see anything I want to order (I've become rather picky I guess?). But this update? Oh my, yes! Haitian Vetiver* Halloween in Innsmouth Wolf Spider Witch Dance Torn Candy Bag bath oil NYCC exclusives? I would kill for some Badger. Shiro Cosmetics? Pumpkin King looks cool. Godiva? Not really. Apple Crisps? Not so much, but thank you! California: hmmm....not sure. IngenuiTEA? Very cool, so yes! Comics: Not big into comics, but I'd be interested in The Next Generation/Doctor Who one. Maybe some horror based ones? ETA: I actually found some I am am really interested! They are now on my Amazon wishlist (just to give an idea of the types I like).

    Happy Unbirthday swap questions

One big gift or a few small ones? Either is fine with me. Is there something special that can only be gotten in New York that you would want? Something from CB: I Hate Perfume! Especially Mr. Hulot's Holiday or Gathering Apples. new bpal? I haven't ordered anything in months because nothing really caught my eye, but if there is a decant you think I would like then I've love to try it. it's canning season. how would you feel about a small jar of jam/jelly/pickles/etc? I'm not big on jams, jelly, etc but my kids and husband like them. How do you like your incense, oil burners, or candles? Would you use an oil burner and essential oils? If so, what would be some longed-for essential oils?We have a ton of oil burners and candles (as well as tarts, oils, etc). Maybe if there's an oil that smells like a pomander ball for around the holidays. Halloween stuff? Of course! We actually have a Halloween corner that stays up all year with my favorite items (they get distributed around the house during the fall then back to their corner in Nov.). We have a ton of decorations, figures, etc though and we are running out of room, but I will always find the room for something cool or strange (esp. Day of the Dead). My kids also love Halloween window clings (scary or cute). What magazines do you read/ have subscriptions to? None. Not really a magazine person. Second question: What kind of socks or tights do you like? I like socks and even have a seperate wishlist just for Sock Dreams. lol Third Question: Who would like to get a box in the mail with different teas in them? If so, what kinds? "I may or may not have a tea problem... I have a lot of it. Please only send me tea if it is super omg amazing because I have a huge box full." Yep, I'm just going to 2nd that. Do you use loose leaf or tea bags? Do you need any tea supplies, like bags, pots, or infusers? I prefer loose, but bags are fine also. How do you feel about sample sizes or testers of things? (Obviously I mean new, things that I've never opened kind of samples) It depends on what it is. Not so much makeup or skincare samples, though I do love Cocoa Pink samples. Speaking of Villainess, who here is a fan? Would you want any of their goodies? If so, what are your scent wishes, and which types of products would you like? (i.e., Soap, Sugar Scrub, Moisturizer etc) I do love Villainess, but I have a ton I still have to get through before they go off. Favorite movies? You can mention a genre or a director or time period. We are big horror movie fans here (esp. zombie and cheesy teen horror movies or over the top B horrors). I also love Star Trek movies (though not the newest one ) and 1980's movies. Do you need any kitchen supplies? Nope, in fact we're trying to downsize what we have in the kitchen.
  6. Honestly, for something like a classroom setting I would opt for just wearing a scent in a locket. I remember getting horrible headaches in class because of the perfumes other students would wear.

    Yellow Snowballs

Because I am very, very crass this year. Slushy white mint, vanilla cream, lemon drops, grapefruit, and yuzu! I was hoping this would be more bright mint and citrus with a bit of creamy vanilla, but it is very much a "snow" scent with blend of citrus notes. I'm not sure I like it since I'm really not a fan of snow & ice blends. Those who like scents like Pink Snowballs, but would prefer a non-floral and fresher version, you should try this. The throw is good and lasts for hours. The label is also cute.

    BPAL for nausea

I seem to be the opposite of most people in that ginger makes me feel ill. Citrus (lemon & orange especially) and mint seem to help when I'm nauseous, so I love Lustration when I'm not feeling well. I ordered some Yellow Snowballs which might work as well. Lick It might also be a good one (it's one of the ones I wear during long car rides since I tend to get motion sickness and I know it won't bother me). If you like, I could send you decants of each to try and see if you like them/if they work.

    Beaver Moon 2011

Ooops. I accidently reviewed this in the other thread. Well, here is my not so helpful review. In the bottle it's a sharp, somewhat pungent lavender with a bit of sweet cheesecake. It actually caught me off guard and gave me an "ew" reaction. But I decided to take a chance and try it. Wet it's better, though still heavy on the lavender (which I actually I don't mind). It's not as sharp and the cheesecake note comes out more (though it doesn't really smell like cheesecake to me, more of just a rich vanilla with a bit of something extra). At first they almost seem at war with each other, but as it begins to dry the lavender softens and everything seems to blend a bit better. It's very interesting how the herbal lavender and sweetness of the cheesecake note come together. I'm also pleasantly surprised that this doesn't go plastic, which the other version I tried (forget the year?) did. After about 30 minutes the lavender has calmed down significantly and it's really very pretty and somehow avoids turning into a baby-type scent which I was worried about. I think people who wanted to like TKO but found it too sweet might really enjoy this. The throw isn't heavy, but it's not a skin hugging scent either. Of course, I didn't put much on so that might be a factor. This is overall a comforting scent that makes me want to cuddle under a cozy blanket in front of a fire (which happily I'm doing atm!). It's just very pretty and I can see wearing it both at home and out. And just now when I had dh smell it, he actually closed his eyes when he inhaled and said "mmmm....I like it". I would say that's a thumbs up.

On the evening of the twelfth full moon of the Dai calendar, small lotus-shaped offering boats are released out to the rivers and canals of Thailand, carrying prayers and wishes out into the waters. It is a preparation for renewal, and a time for releasing and banishing the darker parts of ourselves. Banana leaves, betel nuts, coconut bark, spider lilies, candle wax, and incense. Beautiful! Just absolutely beautiful. It starts off very green with just a hint of coconut bark and incense, but quickly sweetens when the lilies come out a bit. There is another note I can't quite identify, so I think perhaps it's the betel nuts? The incense is smooth and not at all heavy or sharp smelling, more like the smell of incense itself, not so much the smoke. Everything blends really well together and avoids being just an incense scent or a green scent or a floral. It's a gorgeous, balanced blend that I can see wearing year round. I love it already. And for those of you coconut haters, still give this a shot. It does not smell like coconut, but more of the sweet wood smell that coconut bark has.

    Halloween: Las Vegas

Love love love this! Thankfully, I don't get a cake or foody impression from this. On me it smells like a mix of booze, incense, a bit of smoke, and snake oil. Dh said it smelled like a sweet vanilla incense (in the best possible way). It's absolute love though and will get a ton of wear this fall and winter.

Sooo. Yules. Those just happened. What are you interested in, Bunny? Pumpkin Masala Rooibos & Rose Red. Any crafty pursuits you've been dying to experiment with? Would you like a little kit of something you've never tried? Do you need any particular items for your new or existing stash? With all of my knitting projects I don't really have time for anything else atm. Bunny, could you use a 2012 calendar, and, if so, do you like big monthly ones or the page-a-day type? No thank you, we have a 2012/13 one. Are you a big ol' nerd for any particular subject? Science, math, linguistics, etc? Or particular authors/fandoms? Star Trek (original & TNG), Doctor Who, and I absolutely love reading about different world religions & belief systems (both present and past, especially when it has to do with how cultures deal with death) and astronomy. Does anyone have issues with gently used things like books, etc.? Nope, not at all! (just please, no undies ) And I actually prefer used book when possible, as long as they have all the pages and aren't falling apart. The only thing I prefer to buy new are tarot decks. Do you have a strong preference for any sort of bath and body product brands (i.e. etailer/etsy type cos, department store/specialty brands like Lush) or are you cool with anything that doesn't smell like Bunnybane? As long as it's cruelty free and preferably without parabens. A question: reveal, yes or no? I hope so, but whatever my fox prefers. Any favorite cuddly characters? Not that I can think of. I've always wanted a plush Adipose though. Charity gifts? Either fair-trade type stuff, or virtual type gifts, like vaccinations or school supplies being bought on your behalf, or something along those lines? I'm very picky on what charities I support. I will try to make up a list. Bunny, are you interested in tarts from Two Timing Tart? What scents, if any, are you interested in? Kitchen Marmalade sounds nice, along with Peacock Plumes and Exp. #5 (if it's not already gone!). Do you need any holiday recipies? Is there something in particular that you'd like baked or made for you? And for those of you doing the no sugar/low sugar, etc. thing these days, how about savory things? No thank you, unless it's for the kids. Do you like/need boxes for perfume/knicknacks? Since downsizing my oils I actually have too many boxes now. Also, what are some of your favorite holiday candies? Dh's blood results came back and I am cracking down on what we eat for a while, so please no candy. Well, I guess a little bit of dark chocolate (esp. with mint ) would be ok and candy canes are fine since dh doesn't like them, but the kids do. Does anything from Fusion Sweets interest you? No thank you. Interested in anything from the Elements and Artifacts Yule update? It seems that everything I like is either reserved or too expensive. If your fox/bunny were to gift you with a giftcard from anywhere, as in any store foodwise, music wise etc. what giftcard would you like? Probably Sock Dreams, bodyartforms.com, or Cocoa Pink. If we are talking b&m type stores, then Sephora or Target. If I were to place ONE LAST Weenie order, (uh, which I will) what would you want me to include for you? (presuming that is that the order can get here in time, bites nails)? La Calavera Catrina or The Wiley Grasser. Those were the ones I was most interested in. Will you be away for any part of the round? Nope! Anyone else with an Etsy store and a member of Tradeaholics (or you could join) and interested in bartering for gifts for their bunny? Normally I would offer up some knitted goods but as it is I will be pushing it to get done all my prjests before the holidays. What type of books do you like? Dying to read anything? I have some on my amazon wishlist, the rest I'll be checking out from the library since we have so many books. Seriously. My parents threatened to never help us move again unless we donated some of our books. I think we have more boxes of books than everything else combined. Rose/mastic flavored things? Sure, I'll try them. i live in the city of the chicken wing. if i were to send you something savory, what's your heat tolerance (or sweet and heat for that matter)? I'm fine with hot stuff, though dh is more about hot foods than I am. Honey/beeswax? I like it in body stuff. Trader Joe's? We actually have 2 within 15-20 minutes, so we're good. Holiday movies: Not that I can think of. Superheroes: Not really. would you like a Paintbox from Paintbox Soapworks? If so, which scents? Not really, but thank you! Would my bunny like anything in particular from Lush? I do have access to an actual Lush store, and also wouldn't mind ordering retro items online. I don't have much from Luch (other than what a super sweet person on here sent me ), but I would be interested in the Orange Blossom solid perfume and the Chilli Tingle lip tint. Cocoa Pink? Definitely yes! I have a seperate section on my wishlist for Cocoa Pink goodies. Anybody into nail polish? Any color or formula preferences? I have a box filled with nail polish I rarely wear, and in just about every color, so no thank you. I really need to use up some of what I have. If you found a $50 bill on the ground and were to place a Lab order, what would be in it? (And shipping is free through the magical BPAL unicorn!) Bottle of GRR (I get a lot of headaches and just spilled much of my bottle of OOF during a shaky, very severe headache, but would really like to get GRR now since I think it would work better for me) and La Calavera Catrina, plus an imp of Pool of Tears. Tim Tams? Sadly, no. They are yummy, but due to dh's recent blood work, goodies like that are a no-no for now in the house. Talk to me of coffee. Whole bean? Ground? Flavored, not flavored? Decaf, whole caff? Favorite roasters? Drip, french press, keurig? BRING ON THE TEA? Love love love coffee. It is the one addiction I allow myself. Prefer ground, but whole bean is good too. Decaf, half-caf, full-caf...whatever is good! And I love flavored coffees as well as unflavored, as long as it smells good. Our favorite coffee was Highlander Grog from Avalon Coffee, but since moving down to Va the only time we have been able to get it is when my in-laws occasionally bring some down. Who else here loves or would like to try Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics? If so, what would you like? I have a few lip tars that I like, but I'll have to look a see what others ones I want to try. Would any Bunny like to receive Holiday serving bowls, trays, platters etc...? Winter/Christmas or Thanksgiving/Fall themed? My parents gave us a complete set of Christmas disshes, etc so we're good. I know some people are squicked out at the idea of eating things that other people make, or the thought of deep fried cookies sends them into cardiac arrest. If you were my fox, would you like to receive some homemade goodies, or would you prefer that your goodies came from the store? Dh just got back some test results and I have now cracked down on what we eat, so please no baked goods. A little dark chocolate or something would be fine though. My lovely fluffy Snow Bunny, would you like a bodyscrub made by me? If so, what scent(s) would you like, if you had to think along the lines of essential oils? And would you prefer sugar or salt? Love love love Sock Dreams. My Amazon wishlist actually has a Sock Dream section. Do you do a Christmas tree? If yes is it themed or specially colored or do you just have all different ornaments and such? Most of our tree is decorated with ornaments the kids have made, ones from when I was a kid, or just random ones we've been given. We can't do glass or anything breakable due having 3 cats that like to climb up the inside of the tree. Would you like a special ornament? Our tree is running out of room for ornaments and we don't even put up all the ornaments we have. Is there any sort of regional food/drink/treat you miss or have always wanted to try? hmmm...not that I can think of. hey swap partner...could you use a new mug? We have a ton since I had a mug obsession for a while and we have run out of room, so I'm not allowed any more. Do you like knitted goods? Do you not care?)? I do most of my knitting since I can be pretty picky about fit and yarn, but I can usually use supplies (just lmk if you would like ideas and I can go through what I have and need). I live near a brick and morter location for a really, really good spice store. would you use cooking spices and if you would, what would you need? (it's penzey's if you want to google it). Probably not, at least not cooking spices (though dh would use them, I don't cook). Stuff like cocoa or something I can add to flavor coffee will always be appreciated though. Red Lace

Honestly, I'm not sure what I'm smelling. Everything is very well blended, though I think the tobacco and vanilla are coming out the most. I didn't like it when I first applied it, it was too dusty and stale smelling. Once the vanilla came out and the juicier notes began to show I liked it more, but it's still rather "old" smelling. Not "old lady" just...old. Very hard to describe it. Not unappealing, just not something I would normally wear. I will likely keep my decant, but probably won't get a bottle.

    Springtime Playfulness

mmmm...wet this is a juicy cright cranberry scent. Yum! As it dries the florals start to come out along with the musks (lightly) and something I can't quite put my finger on. I think perhaps it's the squash note. I get very little to no coconut husk or lemongrass (surprisingly!). It's a very confusing blend, but extremely pretty. I actually like this a lot more than I expected. It's youtherful and fresh, without being girly or too young smelling. I think this would make a lovely scent for Spring (the name is definitely fitting!) and though I need to try a couple more times to be sure, I might end up having to get a bottle.
