Honeyed myrrh and sweet flag.

Wow, not a lot of notes here but very unusual and hard to put your finger on. I get a resiny (almost balsamy) sweet scent with hits of inscence and a very clear sweetness? Spicy-sweet, slightly floral honey more like clover honey, resin-woody but overall a feminine scent. Balanced but more resinous out of the bottle and more of the floral sweetness comes out on drydown. I have the feeling this will smell very different depending on who wears it.

I picked this up yesterday at C2E2 without having skin tested it, so I was a little nervous today when I wore it the first time. I didn't need to be-- this is really quite a lovely blend. It's a very light and effervescent myrrh, sweet but not overpoweringly so. Sweet flag is apparently also known as calamus, and provides a very mild spiciness. Bu tit's mostly sweetish, resinous myrrh, and it's very pretty and very long-lasting. I can see myself wearing this a lot.

Got this today at C2E2 and yummmmmmms. I love it so. Pretty and sweet but light and airy. Like the honey on Baklava. I seeing this aging like a dream. I should have picked up a backup cause I see it being a spring must wear. Ok my mind is fried from con overload.

This smells like a single note myrrh on my skin. All I get in a single scent and it is a smooth, sweet resin. Try this if you liked Cat Allingham or Ra.

This turned out to be my favorite from this year's C2E2 blends.

In the bottle - sweet myrrh.

On my skin - This does remind me of the Myrrh SN but I'm getting a lot more from it. The honey is sweet and bright, making the myrrh seem golden and warmer than when it's on its own. I am not familiar with sweet flag, but if it's lending a sweetness then its lovely too.

This doesn't morph at all on me and creates a resinous golden glow that's sweetly swoon worthy. It brings back memories of when I worked in a museum specializing in Egyptian artifacts, this same type of smell could be detected from one of the mummies. Love it!!!!!

Sweet golden resins, with a definite honey note on my skin. I wore this today and it's still going strong hours later, and has stayed true without morphing. I think it will be even better with a little age, but I think it will be a good resin scent to wear this summer- not heavy but still a "me" scent, since I love resins.

Spice, sweetness from the honey, and a resiny incense feel. This one is subtlety sexy, and I keep smelling it because it's very different from any other scent that I own. It has an exotic spice feel. This scent appears amber-colored to me when I try to visualize it in my head.

I had a wonderful fairy who gave me the unique opportunity to try this scent and own a bottle :wub2:

Naughty rating: A mysterious girl who surprises you by taking the lead; you expect this girl to be shy and not forward, and she will keep contradicting you throughout the evening.

When wet I mostly get myrrh and little else. It dries down to a soft gentle resinous spice - quite powdery but very comforting. It most reminds me of a gentler version of Morocco or the smell of clothes in a hippy shop. Now I'm going to have to hunt down a bottle.

Honey and myrrh are two of my notes of love, so I really wanted to try this one.

In the bottle: Myrrh, sweet but not sweet enough to be honeyed, and with a slightly tart or astringent floral note.

Wet: There's a lot of floral character to this, and it's not a typical floral. It's dry, slightly bitter, like a meadow flower. The honey is in there, but it's slow to show itself. This needs to work for a while.

One hour: Medium intensity myrrh, almost no honey, and an unusual floral, not sweet at all, kind of flat. This might need some aging.

Two hours: That dampish impression is gone, but the floral remains. Still no sign of honey, but the myrrh isn't too heavy so it doesn't absolutely require honey for lightening. Still think it needs aging.

Five hours: I like it, and it has a lot of potential. The floral note is more like a root, with a flat sort of impression like orris or lotus root. I didn't get much honey for the first few hours, but it's getting a bit sweeter now.

Overall I do like it and will age it a bit to see what happens.

Little Egypt goes on smelling like a bright, resinous, light myrrh with a hint of something like citrus. A fresh smelling myrrh. Within a minute, though, it has a sour, perfumey, plasticy quality on my skin. It smells like melting plastic with a hint of real honey. And then it's gone. Doesn't even last a full 10 minutes on my skin. Very disappointing :/

mmm... there's that cola, syrupy smell I LOVE so much about Old Demons of the First Class and Fetish.Goth. Sweet and light resiny goodness. Really happy I had my lovely fairy get me a bottle. Knowing how well my myrrh blends have aged I'm excited to tuck this away to the end of Summer/early Fall.

Smooth honey, sweet cola resin with a touch of woods.

Stick close to the skin, has almost no throw on it for me. It does, however, smell like a better version of what your skin should smell like.

Very resinous and herbal. Myrhh predominant here, very little sweetness on me. This reminds me of Sunbird, and And There Was A Great Cry in Egypt.

This scent makes me think of honeyed cola. Huh. Definitely not what I was expecting.

After a bit this scent turns bubblegum sweet on my skin. Weird? Not for me.

i had no idea what to expect from little egypt and i still wasn't sure about it in the bottle, but on my skin, i really like it. i love the myrhh and the honey adds a lot of sweetness. there is a gentle spicy resinousness that i really enjoy. i thought the "sweet flag" would be grassy or planty but it actually is spicy and dry. weirdly, i also get the cola note that catseyes mentioned (i don't know if i would have thought of it on my own, but now i get it) and that just makes me like it more.

I bought porcelina's bottle recently, so it seems fitting I follow up her review :)

In the bottle: warm and herbal, nothing specific jumps out.

Wet: Weak myrrh, the herbs have gone.

Dry: Sweet myrrh and spicy herbal which must be the sweet flag.

I'm absolutely in love with this one, it smells SO good. It's a nice one to have lingering on you as you're falling asleep too, very comforting.
