BPAL Madness!

Recommended Posts

This one when it's wet starts out with a pink rose and this condensed milk note (I know it says almond milk but it seems thicker and sweeter than that). It might be the boba I'm getting rather than the milk. It's almost like Hexennacht London Fog but with rose.

As it dries down the milk becomes more almond and the sweetness dies down. Rose stays strong. Fresh out of the mailbox this one dried down to Ms. Meyers rose scented soap, but now that it's had a little more time to rest it's definitely pink rose and almond milk.

Years ago, there was a soft release of a scent, Rose Milk V.1, which I was obsessed with for about a year. I'm not a regular fan of florals, and I'm especially picky when it comes to rose, but that combination was a winner for me.

And here it's come 'round again, in a slightly different form, and I'm SO pleased!

In the bottle, and when first applied, the milk note is slightly more at the fore than the rose (I agree with the above poster's assessment that the milk read more as 'condensed' than as 'almond', fwiw).

Once it fully dries down there's a shift, with  the rose becoming more prominent, the milk receding significantly, and the emergence of the green tea note. I get no tapioca, but this trio does just fine without its presence on me.

This scent has a low-medium throw, but I could see it being too overwhelming if it was slathered, so start sparingly and see how it goes with your skin chemistry.

In All: a delightful spring floral, Rose Milk Tea is exactly what I love about many Lupercalia scents in that it makes a great transition out of late winter and through the blooming season we've just entered. ❤️  🌹

This one is a lovely rose-sugar-milky delight ❤️

It's not too overpowering and gives peeks of the green tea (which might be the same note from 'TEA' from the Shungas from 2011 [IIRC])

This one might be backup worthy ❤️

Can't resist a rose flourmand and this one is a delight!

From the burst of vividly realistic rose petals at application, through the pale milky sweet drink straight into the yummy starchy pearls, it's joyful pink and green perfection, and very wearable.

I wish I could drink this one!! So incredibly delicious.

I can pick out all the notes on this one (it's even clearly green tea rather than black to my nose! And for me I do get the almond milk specifically, though agree that it's an exceptionally rich and creamy almond milk), and they are all so realistic and fun. I'm not really a gourmand person, and the experience of smelling this but not getting to drink it drives me a little crazy, but it's so sweet and pretty and playful. I don't think this is one I'll wear frequently, so I don't expect I'll be getting a bottle of it, but I'm glad it exists and I'm happy to have a decant.

Rose Milk is surprisingly gourmand! The almond milk froth and the tapioca do wonderful things together, almost a spongey almond coffee cake sort of vibe. The rose is there and while it’s probably pink (maybe white? It’s definitely not red rose) there is nothing “flowery” or dainty about this scent overall. Lasts a nice long time on my skin as well. I’m into it.

This is mostly about the rose and DAIRY on me, with the almond part of the milk note only being noticeable when the scent was freshly applied. Then it's full-on actual milk. I see some reviewers have mentioned condensed milk, and I could see that, but I think that's the boba's sweetness combining with the very milky milk note. I can tell that this features a green tea note, but I mostly noticed it during the wet phase of the scent, before it become a rose and dairy party. I ordered a rose milk tea the other day, but this scent is totally unlike the one I'm used to since it has a black tea base instead of a green one. As far as the boba goes, I don't really get the texture of the boba here, just the sweetness it adds to the milk note.

I will probably retest this before it goes away, but at the moment, I think I prefer Imose-Yama for a rose and dairy fix.

I want to love Rose Milk Tea, and I wish I got dairy and condensed milk from this like everyone else seems to, but this is just a rose explosion on me.  The rose starts off fresh, uplifting, and pretty. After about an hour, however, it's a perfumey rose powder with a hint of sugary sweetness. The rose amps up way too much on my skin.

Green tea tannins and fluffy rose infused milky clouds. I get a steamed vibe about RMT. The green tea/milk notes show up more distinctly on my skin then the rose one.

Rose is a forever love note for me but I tend to cycle in and out of “I want to smell like rose” phases. As a result I went the decant route for this one just in case.

The rose is bright and fresh and pretty without being wet or green like Rose Red. The milk is immediately present but definitely does not read as almond to my nose; it’s also not as thick or sweet as condensed milk but is just a nice creamy touch. The tea is bright and adds a welcome bit of astringency to keep this from being Too Much. By the end of the day, it’s mostly a creamy sweet smell with decent touch of rose. What it actually reminds me the most of is drinking Starbucks lavender matcha latte if you swapped in rose for the lavender.

I really like it but I’m not sure I need a whole bottle. Definitely keeping the decant and we’ll see how much wear it gets before the Lupers come down.

It's nice. I do get a pinkish type rose for a while, but the milk and starchy rice take over after a while. The milk is similar to the one in Mummy and Vampire Milk on me, tangy like the goat's milk note. Not as strong, but present. I wish the rose came out more, but I tend to amp this milk note. Forgot this was a tea blend, honestly. I think I picked up some in the beginning but I must've drank it all up because now it's all froth.

Nice almond milk tea with rose petals. It’s light, not crazy-sweet – definitely more almond milk than condensed milk. No tapioca that I can tell. Overall this is a pretty, calm, all-purpose wearable creamy rose blend.

Super pink vibes from this blend . I'm one of the "I can't believe it's not dairy!" wearers. I was hoping for an almond note, but I can't gripe about the sweet milky note on my skin. The rose is most like the fruity floral fragrance of a Peace rose. A winner!

This is very pretty - a creamy, lightly sweet rose. It is more rose than anything else on me, but pink rose + soft sweet (ish - not overly) milk. I like rose when it's got a sweet or gourmand component, so I do like this overall. I don't get tea at all, but that's okay. It'll be pretty for teaching or conferences, I think: the review that said 'calm' feels accurate to me, nothing dramatic, just a nice soft pink creamy rose.

When I first got this, I felt like the notes clashed a little, but with resting or just my brain getting used to it, I've grown to really like this. Sweetened milk (which actually smells quite dairy-creamy to me despite being almond) with pink rose and slightly bitter green tea. I think the tapioca note adds sweetness, and maybe what I'm interpreting as cream/dairy. I'd definitely try the drink this was inspired by.

I’m truly impressed by how accurate this description is. I get every note. The tapioca comes off as chewy even- how does something smell chewy?? I don’t get condensed milk, I get a high quality barista almond milk. By the end of the day it’s a creamy and delicate sweet pink rose. I'm all for impossibly sweet, but I didn't find this one to be too cloying at all.
