Don't hate me for this vague answer, but there's a lot that sounds interesting and fun. I'm a fantasy fan and a goth girl, so Ren Faires are pretty up my alley. Leather, corsets, swords, pretty shiny gem jewelry things, fae and fairy stuff, mead. Yeah. There's a lot. So anything you think that might fit into my overall style would be appreciated!

Ummmm I just purchased my ticket/badge for a 5 day board gaming convention in Orlando next year. So yeah, I'm a fan of board games.
There's... a LOT of games i want to try. I've only started getting into board games in the past few years (always wanted to but didn't have money or folks to play with), so my collection isn't very big. Most of it. That’s pretty much right up my alley. I do get cautious about taxidermy because I like to know the source. Naturally found/killed bones is one thing but I don’t want to support killing just for display.

What house were you sorted into? Slytherin, usually by a good bit, but sometimes tied with Ravenclaw. Ravenclaw is never far behind.

Is there something (either a specific item, or type of item, like bath/body, perfume, candy etc) you're really looking forward to or hoping to get? This is my question but I’ll answer it. I’m really excited and curious to see wahtever my Witch conjures up for me (see what I did there?) but I have to admit I am hopeful to be able to try/experience a new product from an indie bath/body/perfume/make up company that I haven’t tried yet. Ive really been getting into indie make up lately if that helps.

What's something you want or look at, but always talk yourself out of buying (or for whatever reason never purchase)? Nothing I can think of right now. I keep talking myself out of buying any more air plants because I always kill them. Does that count?

Are there any subscription/subscription style boxes you have an interest in? (This could be a very specific sub like sihaya or lootcrate or an idea/concept you're interested in without a specific company in mind, like "book related candles"). I like the idea, in a limited scope. It has to be items that are useful in some way. For example, I don’t really “get” the “Loot Crates”as a subscription, because it seems like a lot of *stuff* that wouldn’t get used, and while that’s nice foro a one time box I feel like a subscription would get overwhelming. But I like the idea of consumable sub boxes(coffee or tea or snacks around the world, although my dietary restriction makes that difficult). I love the Sihaya boxes. I think something that is seasonal, or a one time box with themed items really appeals to be the most.

Coffee or Tea? Both! But, coffee is my weak spot. It’s my source of morning energy, but also comfort. I drink both regular and decaf, and I love exploring flavors of both coffee and tea. Basically, yes, please. Unusual flavors, blends and single origins especially make me “yay”.

Anything from David's Tea(esp the new Halloween) that catches your eye? All of it. I don't mean that to be greedy, I'm just not fussy! The halloween teas all sound fantastic and the teaware looks great.

What are your DISO BPAL dreams? A bottle of The Last Unicorn
I’ve been able to get most of my DISOs. I’d love to try CC: Male and CC: Female. I’m curious about the laces I’ve missed: Krampus Lace, Red Lace, Shadow Lace, Amber Lace, Solstice Lace… but not sure I need a bottle (yet).

Uhm. All of it? I’d never seen the site before, and looking at the site, it’s all really appealing. Shiny, glittery, multi color polishes appeal to me, so there’s more I’m interested in than not. I’m NOT interested in anything neon yellow or green (dark/medium greens good), pink, or orange.
The MYST colors catch my eye right now. Eco and Panther as well. The glossy af top coat.
Beyond the polishes themselves, the mani-cure-all kit, balm shells, glitterbalms, tinted lip balms, and clean up brush pique my interest.

This is the first time I've ever had a bath tub all to myself! And some new BPAL LE's to try that I have missed in the past two years (becoming a mom really turns your life upside down!)

What's something you want or look at, but always talk yourself out of buying (or for whatever reason never purchase)? Kate Spade office supplies! (I really don't need them!)

There are so many that I get overwhelmed. I really liked Scentbird, Birchbox and Sephora play but I always ended up canceling due to financial reasons. If there is a subscription box you think I'd like that I've never heard of, I'm open to anything!

Coffee or Tea? Both! I'm not a big black or green tea drinker though. I mostly like relaxing nighttime herbal teas.

I've always loved real ghost stories. Or horror novels about ghosts (Currently reading and loving HEX)

Is there anything from the Lush christmas line that was just released that you're interested in? It's honestly really hard to choose! Bath bombs! I really love anything blackcurrant scented from there. Butterbear would be great too!

Ghosts and skeletons are fun halloween (and every day!) decor, but I’m not into like reading about aliens or bigfoot or anything.

Is there anything from the Lush christmas line that was just released that you're interested in? Twilight sparkle jar I’m most interested in. The shower scrub and shower lotion are interesting but I’m not too interested in the christmas scents.

Is there any scents from the more current releases you have been wanting to try (Weenies, Motherhood/Fatherhood)?
Basically all of the Dead Leaves scents. Nothing bottle worthy b/c the lab’s dead leaves can sometimes give me a headache(but not always, it’s weird). I also realized I’ve never tried Samhain (somehow??) and am curious about the Samhain chaos theory. From the Trading Post, I’m curious about the Red Masque atmos sprays.


How do you feel about buttons, pins, and badges? No thank you. I don’t have a place to put/display them.

Are you witchy or like witchy things like incense, sage, palo santo, crystals, tarot, altar supplies, candles, etc.? Whatcha like/need? I’m a kind of non-witch, lazy witch. I love the idea of rituals and spell craft but don’t do a lot of it. I can’t do incense, but I love tarot cards, have been wanting to collect more crystals, but in a functional form(jewelry/wearable/wands). Perhaps most helpful, I’ve been wanting to get back to using candles and anointing oils, so a set of colored candles and/or some TAL samples would be very welcome. I could use TALs for energy, creativity, work and prosperity(I’m hoping to change jobs/get a new job soon), as well as health(my S.O and I have quite a few health issues) and mental clarity/stress relief/calming.

Do you need decanting supplies? Sample vials? Pipettes? Standard labels? I don’t do a lot of decanting but I’ve been wanting to dabble in making my own blends, and creating body sprays/alcohol perfumes from my bpal, so small glass vials/bottles with sprayers and pipettes would be welcome

The gradient asymmetrical wrap and dragon wing cowl are a big YES. They’d be helpful for my freezing cold office. Also yes to the Multi directional fingerless mitts. I don’t have a need for regular gloves or hats, and I think the sillies would just collect dust. (I already have too many stuffed animals and figs!)

Oh lord. My last witch spoiled me by introducing me to Future Primitive and now I want to try MOAR! The stuff I'm interested in:
Products: Body cream, bar soap, whipped soap, conditioning hair rinse, shea bubbling scrubs (damask rose and yang yang), perfume.
Scents:Opium Den, Stone the Crows, Tombstone, The Gloaming, Surrender Dorothy, Corwainer, Rook and Raven, Gothica, Arabian Nights, Incantation,

Speaking of OOS/Discontinued - Are there any old favorites from no longer operating companies that you would like if either anyone had a stash OR could find a reasonable dupe? I'd normally say "No", but I recently discovered Violette Market's "Hades" perfume. I've never actually smelled it, but it sounds like a perfect match for my Hades character in my Hades and Persephone novel. I've been trying to track some down and I'm afraid I never will.

Booze, yea or nay? Favorite kinds? Oh YAY! I'm good for all kinds, except beer (sadly. can't have it due to wheat/malt) and cider (just not a fan). Especially a fan of artistinal, botanical gins and specialty liqueurs (especially homemade, local varieties). Also mead, especially local mead!

Knitted stuff? Need/want anything specific? Colors? I will never say no to fingerless gloves of any length. My fingers get cold (but I can't type with regular gloves!). I also wouldn't mind a light shawl for the cold office. Dark purples, dark blues, dark greens, black, greys, and dark reds are all in my wheelhouse. I wouldn't mind something with teal or mossy green either.

I love animal skulls and bones and art made with them... but of course I want them to be ethically sourced. Found is best. I couldn't see if this company lists where they source their bones.

I haven't really looked! I really like several of Lush's items, but I rarely shop there or use anything from them anymore. I'm open if there's something you really love! I love their Buffy bars and sugar scrubs but have been trying to buy from smaller companies lately.

The dragon cowl and asymmetrical wrap are really cute, and the pumpkin is cute too! I don't have a huge need for wrist warmers, hats, or gloves at this time, unless they're cool gothy witchy style since most of my winter wear is pretty muggle-ish.

OOOH. I LOVE moonstones and work with them regularly in my witchy practices. I don't have any labradorite pieces, but also love it. I adore jewelry and wear lots of it. I have been wanting a midi ring! They seem to have lots of pretty thing in silver and rose gold - something I've been wanting to get more of. I wear lots of rings (size 6 ring finger, or up a couple sizes for index finger) have lots of ear piercings and wear bracelets regularly. For necklaces, I prefer at least 20". I really like their moon phase stuff! I actually like pretty much everything, except for things that have a halo of stones around it or lots of bling to it.

I guess this is as good of a time as any to say that I will try to semi-ignore questions that I've already addressed thoroughly in my questionnaire, or that don't apply at all. I can do a little collection of the topics here just for quick reference though (and dear Witch, if you need more info, just let me know): possibly interested, but covered thoroughly in my original questionnaire: alcohol not interested, whether or not mentioned in original questionnaire: knitted items (yes, I guess the little bat toy I linked to on etsy is a knitted item, but it can be the exception that proves the rule, right? I like the Moonlighters earrings, Edged Lustre silver/moonstone ring, Petite Double silver/labradorite ring. From the sale, I like the Knowing Eye necklace and the Moon Eclipse ring.

Are there any old favorites from no longer operating companies that you would like if either anyone had a stash OR could find a reasonable dupe?
I waited awhile to answer this one because I was giving it some thought. As sometimes happens, this led to another question. So I remembered a couple of super-glittery nail polish brands I used to be into, Nerdlacquer and Rainbow Honey. I wanted to make sure I correctly typed whether the company names were one word or two words, and lo and behold, Nerdlacquer is back. So I'll do a separate question about that. But I do miss Rainbow Honey's glittery nail polishes. Once I have a blog post for this round, I can update this question if I think of anything else.

I like green tea kitkats quite a bit, and I also like the Meltykiss chocolate I've tried in the past. Things have kind of dried up on the penpal front so I guess I don't need any stationery really, but I would still like cute/weird stickers even though I likely don't have much of a use for them. Sanrio-wise I'm a Chococat/My Melody type. San-X-wise, I like Kutusita Nyanko. If I think of anything else, I can update in my blog.

Wouldn't mind some pipettes.

They are fine and I have some? I don't wear them often or change them out often on the few garments I have them on though. I think I linked to one I like in my blog... but since they are usually relatively inexpensive, if you find one you think I'd like, it's up to you....

Hmm... here we go with a time-consuming one. So, I've gotten or requested decants from all of these releases that I thought I had a good chance of liking, but there's usually a "second tier" of things I'm curious about but not sure enough to even get a decant for myself. Breaking it down:
Weenies: Illimitable Dominion Over All (I just smelled this at a meet&sniff and it was lovely!), Jacob w/the Daughters of Laban, Lithograph of a Mountain Goat, Midnight Bonfire, Pomegranate Grove: Snake Oil, Pumpkin Musk & Black Oudh, Ruhende Ziege mit Kitzchen, Studie Einer Ziege.
Fatherhood: tried Family Resemblance at the same meet&sniff, it was pretty nice so I wouldn't mind owning some.
Motherhood: Wouldn't mind more Don't Tell me Heaven is Under the Earth.

Not hugely into that stuff. I mean, there are some cute things out there with ghosts/skeletons, so I don't want to discount them entirely though. My fave cryptid is probably Mothman... I saw a cool "Mothman is my copilot" sticker on a car yesterday, in fact.

Coffee or Tea?
Okay, I know I talked about this in my original questionnaire, let me see if I can think of anything else important on this subject though. My household does drink coffee. Whole-bean and ground are both fine. We prefer medium roast rather than darker roasts. The only flavored coffees we really like are cinnamon and coconut (have only tried this separately but I guess I'd try them together if that exists). As for tea, I think I've already said that bags/sachets are much preferred to loose tea, but I'll mention it just in case. I don't think I want stuff from David's Teas... I was briefly excited that they had Cream Earl Grey but then I saw that people were majorly upset that they had changed the formulation so I decided I'd better steer clear. I do like the Cream Earl Grey from Capital Teas though (looks to be out of stock in sachets at the moment).

Are there any subscription/subscription style boxes you have an interest in?
Would like to subscribe to one for Japanese treats and such. I know Bokksu is one, I'm sure there are others. *EDIT* I remembered another one, the Kizuna box.

Whatever my Witch thinks I would like would be great. If I really have to pick something, I guess bar soap? I mean, nice ones are everywhere and they usually aren't that expensive, and I don't have a huge stash of it right now, so that would definitely work if that helps.

Hmm... long paragraph incoming... I'm still updating the semi-ignored topics section above, so I almost put this near that section because it goes back to the original questionnaire rather than the in-thread questions, but then I decided to just put it here. Anyway, the original questionnaire mentioned under $10 and over $10 things we wanted. I will use this opportunity to ask for cooking and baking related stuff because there hasn't really been a question about that yet. So from Penzey's I'd like some Bold Taco Seasoning, or Sandwich Sprinkle, or Special Seasoned Sea Salt. I prefer jars to bags, and jars of all of those are less than $10. You could also get me some Vietnamese Cinnamon or vanilla extract from Penzey's, I go through those really quickly (the Vietnamese cinnamon is under $10, I think vanilla extract is slightly over, so it can count as the over-$10 part of this question. I'd rather have either double-acting or Mexican vanilla extract than the regular single-acting one). My mind then turns to extremely fancy sprinkles from a website I just discovered. They are just under or just over $10 depending on the amount and type. I like Little Prince, Purple Pony Party, Dark Rainbow, Smitten Kitten, Starry Night, and Blue Tinsel. Hope that helps since I didn't answer that question in my original questionnaire!

So it looks like there was a question about spices. I guess I already mentioned some things in my last huge paragraph. The only other thing I can think of is sumac, I've been wanting some of that since I have a few recipes that call for it.

Dreadful Curiousities:
The framed "vintage Halloween" stuff with cats/bats is pretty cute. The other stuff pictured is not really my style.

When I was looking over my original questionnaire recently, I saw that I said that if there wasn't a Haus of Gloi question, I'd address this in my blog, so I guess I need to do that as time is short. From the Fall II section, I'd like White Lodge soap, or the whipped soap in Spider Silk or Cozy Pumpkin. From the Fall section, I'd like Cozy Pumpkin soap. Looking at soap listed by product, Violet, Warm Mahogany, Coconut Jasmine, and Orange Ginger Patchouli sound nice.

hmmmmm... yes is the short answer.
I love incense, sage, palo santo, etc. I adore crystals and am actively trying to learn more about them (so books on crystals are awesome, as are actual crystals I DO have the The Crystal Bible by Hall but other books welcome)
my whole house is a giant alter of sorts so supplies are always good... things that are decorative are always good such as table runners, scarves, alter cloths, etc, or little dishes/bowls to put offerings/herbs/whatever in... I don't do a ton of rituals that involve "action"... more a lot of "prayin' and layin'" as my friends call it.... sort of a purposeful display of sacred objects with intention whispered over them more than something you'd see in The Craft or whatever.
CANDLES!!!! I love candles...

Very much yea! I love sweet and semi sweet wines. I like vodka and rum, and any sort of fruity or floral liquor. For beer I like fruit beers and lighter beers. Also I LOVE sake. Nigori and sparkling sake are my favorites. Also jelly sake is really fun.

I'm trying to transition to wearing tights more out and about as I've recently started wearing predominantly skirts. For when I'm at home however I'd love some cute ankle socks. I also love toe socks and fuzzy socks.

Oh boy my favorite question! First off kit kats. I LOVE trying different types of kit kats. Also anything melon or black sesame flavored. I've been on the hunt for black sesame seed pocky for years, I know they were seasonal but I'm hoping they'll be rereleased. I also love plate/dishware (I have a subscription with kizuna box for just this reason), bento boxes and supplies, recipe books (google translate works great on recipes) and FGO/Fate/Type Moon stuff. I listed specific characters in my questionnaire. I also have not been able to get the latest FGO Character Materials book yet.
Also you could just like raid a Daiso and I'm sure I'd love everything. Unfortunately I'm on the east coast of the US so we don't have any. I know they have a lot of cute plastic storage bins, a friend sent me one in one of her packages once and I'd really like more.

Big yes! Especially more unusual spices or herbs since we have a cabinet full of spices right now (but more is always great, my mom and I are addicted top Penzeys Spices!)

yea! I love sweet meads, wines (especially ice wine and tawny port), ciders, liqueurs, hard alcohol (baileys, flavored vodkas, schnapps)... do not like dry meads, ciders, or wines. I like SOME beer, mostly stout.

Knitted stuff? Need/want anything specific? Colors?
I like knitted stuff but as I'm a knitter I am usually overflowing in knitted things and end up giving most away or selling them. If you really need to knit something for me I have a bundle on Ravelry called "Make for Me" (also Halloween / Vamp Swap) and I like dark colors like black, dark grey, dark wine/burgundy/black over red, dark purple. I do not like navy blue, white, beige, tan, yellow, orange, or usually pink.)

I love Alice in Wonderland! I really like the original artwork (especially white rabbit wearing his heart tunic and Alice playing croquet with the flamingo and hedgehog.) I have fabric from Spoonflower with the artwork for making project bags.

I have some altar supplies on my amazon wishlist (I think under house/home) -- altar bell, altar chalice, some altar cloths in different colors (need red), can always use chime candles, TALs, etc. I'm waiting on my Last Unicorn tarot deck (kickstarter) as well as The Wise Dog tarot (I can wait to see which card my dog gets - I paid for one of my dogs to be in the deck) and I just received a Game of Thrones tarot deck for my birthday, so I think I'm set there. I put what kind of crystals/gemstones I like in my SW questionnaire.

I have a yarn wishlist on The Loopy Ewe and Knit Picks (both linked in SW Help) as well as some yarn on my Amazon list (under Fiber Arts) and on Etsy. I love plain merino as well as merino/silk/cashmere. Gradient yarns are my favorite but I love semi solid colors too. I don't like variegated yarn. I do love me some self striping but I think I have more than I can ever knit at this point unless you find some in worsted or DK. (no fingering) For shawls I like fingering yarn but everything else I'd prefer DK or Worsted. Twisted Fiber Arts is one of my favorite yarn dyers but they are super expensive.

I like skeletons, gargoyles, and bats. No ghosts, witches, aliens, zombies, werewolves, etc. I live in the Pac NW so of course we have bigfoot everything but I'm not especially a fan.

Is there anything from the Lush christmas line that was just released that you're interested in?
I think I already added those to my SW Help, ahaha. I'd love some more Sleepy lotion (I guess not the Christmas line, it's around on year, but I went through 6oz of it this spring and could use some more.) Interested in the Snow Fairy body spray and the Snow Fairy body conditioner as well as the Sleepy shower gel. I love Butterbear (one of my favorite Lush scents) and wouldn't mind trying the Puddy Holly.

I haven't been able to get anything from most of the releases in the past couple of years. I'd REALLY like No DNA Test Required. I think I've added things to my wishlist and ISO though, and I'll keep those updated.

There is a bunch of LE Nocturne Alchemy that I'm interested in as well. But I'm not expecting to get anything in particular, I'm always surprised!

I love the Forest Nui Cobalt boxes and have seriously considered the Sihaya until I read the scent notes of what is included and then meh out. (I did win a contest from her instagram where I received some leftovers of various boxes and those were lovely. I do love Sihaya candles so much! I can only burn them very very occasionally and have to wear a respirator but I can still smell them through it. Usually it's too much of a hassle to wear the disposable respirators so I don't do it very often. (sorry - tangent - I would love some non-disposable respirators in gothy fabric or black and some replacement filters.) Things like witchy / crystal / tea / pig / dog boxes are all cool. I unsubscribed from bark box because I couldn't afford it anymore but Zuul loves getting it.

Coffee or Tea? I love both but right now I'm only doing k-cups for coffee (I also do some k-cup tea) and I have SO MUCH loose lea tea. I just found a 32oz ingenuitea at a local store for $20, so I'm going to go buy that. I do have two teapots without filters so I could use a gold filter or something to set down in those while I'm brewing. I can always use more egyptian licorice mint tea and the traditional medicinals "breathe easy." My favorite coffee k-cups are the Death Wish (regular death cups and odin.) My favorite tea capsules are Harney & Son (Paris, Hot Cinnamon Spice, and Peppermint - that's all they had in stock and I have tons) but other flavors might be fun. I have some tazo chai and english breakfast too.

Their spooky tin is super cute! The organic stormy night!! The peanut butter cup sounds intriguing. Also the color changing mug is so cute! (My favorite teas are black, matcha, and sometimes green or white but I don't especially love other kinds.)

Wow, it looks like a huge faire! I am jealous, I love going. I usually get things like birch beer, mead, torques, pirate coats, silver toned buttons with celtic knots (especially dogs/ravens/horses/hippocampus), any kind of roses (metal/feather/leather/whatever), pottery, etc. I have a nice belt, dagger, wooden tankards, table knife (maybe a fork/spoon?), shoes, garb, pouches, drinking horns, etc. I love the huge lightweight blankets or tapestries that you find at renn faires, would love one with a horse knot in blue/purple/black. Dragons are good too or witchy things, celtic knots in general, whatever. There are so many cool things at faires that I wouldn't even know where to start for wishes without seeing things.

Yes. There used to be a company on Etsy I loved called SideShowSoaps, and one of their main scents was Ginger Tea with Coconut Milk (Sword Swallower), and I ADORED that scent, especially in fall. It was soothing and creamy, but a bit warm and spicy - perfect for a hot shower when the sinuses and cold-weather ickies gotcha down. If someone found a duplicate scent at a different indie company, I'd love it in a lotion, a whipped soap, a scrub - pretty much any incarnation!

I am all over this one. I'm big into local craft booze (beer, cider, wine, mead, spirits, ALLOFTHAT) - EXCEPT, I just don't get vodka, what is the point of vodka? I use it to make pie crusts... that's pretty much it. Also, anything neon, artificially flavored/colored/sweetened is a big NO.

I've got a hoard of basic scarves, though I see some that are in interesting shapes/patterns that look very different and interesting. Not too bulky arm warmers could be good, or like those boot socks that aren't really boot socks, they're just a 4-6" long tube that LOOKS like the top of a chunky sock that sticks out the top of a boot? Colors, I like most colors, except I'm not a fan of greys/beiges/neutrals, with the exception of winter white and dark/warm chocolate browns. I tend more towards jewel tones, or darker/more saturated shades of red, purple, blue, and green. Not a huge fan of the gold-yellow-orange color specturm, except in weird occasions that I don't understand how to describe. (Confused yet?)

I'm not obsessive, but I do really like Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass. I'd put myself probably just a little shy of LOVE IT! (Like, I think it's AWESOME that there is a double-decker London bus serving as a Mad Hatter's alcoholic Tea Party in my neighborhood all this summer. I've walked past it, I've read the website a couple of times... but I'm not paying $40 per person just to go inside... If it were $20, I'd be in there!)

I've been more into Nailwraps lately (specifically Espinoage), but I could use to refresh my polish stash, too. Antimatter, White Hole, Carrie (plain), Nazi Punks Fuck Off.

Only the dragon-wing cowl is sorta my style. Also, my circulation is so bad (Reynaud's (idiopathic)) and NYC winters can get bitter and are ALWAYS windy, that things related to my hands need to be as wind/cold proof as possible - I generally stick exclusively to heavy-duty lined leather and sheepskin. I love arm warmers, though, and things that can go over my bulky gloves without further reducing manual dexterity. Hats are a close second with sheepskin and heavy felted wool being my go-to's most of the time. If the wind can blow through it, it's probably not going to do much to keep me warm. Things that go about the neck and shoulders being the exception because they just become a part of under-coat layering, and can be a fun way to add color and whimsy when I'm wearing 4 layers for 3 months of the year (and 3 layers for another 2 months on top of that).

Yes please!! I know it's totally the wrong season, but I have a weird fixation with Sakura stuff, I have sakura essence, and I'm almost out of sakura sugar, but I've never tried sakura kit-kats! Aside from that, my one trip to Tokyo was just before Halloween, and WOW! is Halloween cool over there!! I like how their Halloween pumpkin stuff is actually pumpkin custard-y flavor, and not pumpkin spice like in the US. Only time I've liked pumpkin-flavored stuff was over there. I've also been kinda pinterest-researching mori and dark mori styles/accessories, and love all sorts of cute koi-themed stuff. I also am an Aggretsuko fan!

I'm like neptueanblues with the "low-key witchy". I love my Stephanie Law tarot deck, but I don't use it often, honestly. I love my candles, and do use them, though I currently have no anointing oils, and would LOVE decants of some TAL stuff (or non-TAL anointing oils) - but I don't use incense (cones/sticks) because the strong smell isn't always kind to my sinus. I used to have this loose-incense stuff I got from a witchy shop that I liked, and I have a special burner for it, though I'm out of the base (charcoal??) - I LOVE all sorts of rocks and minerals, have quite a bit, but am always drooling at others. I'm a little light on things that represent elemental Air, except stones that are associated with air. I've never used/had a wand or an athame. My alter tends to be very nature/fae centric. crystals, my candles are mostly honeycomb, a crystal bottle of melted snow that I collected during a major storm, found tiny bits of nature that attracted me like properly WEE pinecones, or giant acorns, bundles of herbs (got a couple of sage bundles drying currently from my own garden), etc... Hopefully that would give any Witchy-Witch some good ideas!

I like both, but probably Practical Magic more.

Not so far, I always like to keep things a surprise, so I'm just trying to be open to all the possibilities :-D

Guh.. I do this a lot. I've done it for literal years over basic necessities (I finally caved and bought a non-broken hairbrush this summer after using a broken one for almost 2 years!) Off the top of my head, I only ever think about kitchen stuff. Our kitchen is tiny, I have no space, and my sister either breaks everything, or hoards broken things and won't throw them away even when there's a non-broken replacement... --siiiiggghhh- So I know I look at things like, a whisk with silicone wrapped tines so I can use it in a non-stick skillet, or the cute nessie ladle... there's normally a few small kitchen tools like that that I always look at and then just pass on...

Are there any subscription/subscription style boxes you have an interest in?
I like the idea of subscription boxes, and I currently do Ipsy and Graze. Graze I've had for years and years for office snacks, and it's fine. Ipsy is kinda meh to me, it's better than Sephora Play, and Birchbox since they stopped doing all the point stuff so much... so, I haven't really found one that I really really enjoy regularly.

Is there any scents from the more current releases you have been wanting to try (Weenies, Motherhood/Fatherhood)?
In my wishlist, for the Weenies/Liliths this year, I mostly only wanted to test decants, nothing seemed bottle worthy.

I am good. I am a spice/herb hoarding fiend.

Coffee or tea?
Tea pretty much exclusively. I'm a fan of Adagio, in particular, and mostly stick to black/green/herbal blends. Please nothing with added artificial colors/flavorings/sweetener (no stevia, either). Favs have include things like chocolate mint black tea, black tea with roses, pomegranate (or raspberry) and vanilla, and we are now entering the season of ginger/gingerbread, spicy black teas, and the like. I have two signature blends for fall that are Double Spice Apple and Ginger Morning II... not sure if they're searchable...

board games:
I am a board/table top games geek of all varieties. However, I don't think there's anything I'm looking for at the moment. The sith has almost every expansion pack for Cards Against Humanity, and Exploding Kittens and Unstable Unicorns are both too new/unplayed to warrant even opening expansion packs beyond the NSFW decks (which I threw in immediately!)

And I keep meaning to look for a shawl/cloak pin (one that would work for a crocheted shawl) and just keep forgetting.

I'm on a big spice/herb mix kick right now! I'm not into spicy stuff, but I love to sprinkle some sort of herb/spice mix over potatoes and chicken in my Instant Pot and just letting everything cook while I wind down from the day. Super easy dinner with plenty left over for lunch the next day!

There's this absolutely bonkers horror movie from about twenty years ago called Real Killers (or sometimes just Killers. For some reason, it seems to have been released under both titles) directed by Mike Mendez that I would *love* to get in some sort of digital form! I don't think it was released on dvd. I have it on VHS, but I don't have a way of playing tapes any more. I have a Macbook with a USB port as well as a dvd drive.

Is there anything you want from Japan? Some kind of food, cute stationary, fandom merch, maybe you collect lucky cats, anything!

2018 Weenies

A breakdown, for my own benefit (to narrow down choices).

Blue Ghost Blues....A ward against evil: bay rum, whiskey, cigar smoke, black pepper, and salt
I want to try this for sure. Maybe a decant or partial bottle.

Dia De Los Muertos......dry, crackling leaves, the incense smoke of altars honoring Death and the Dead, funeral bouquets, the candies, chocolates, foods and tobacco of the ofrenda, amaranth, sweet cactus blossom and desert cereus
I've never tried this and always wanted to. Or maybe I smelled it briefly at Moonarcana's house. Still, I would like a decant if I can find one.

Midnight Bonfire......night-blooming jasmine, smoldering maple leaves, a cluster of patchouli and blackened ti leaf, black sage, and pinewood smoke
If I'm doing decants, I should throw in this. It has a good chance of being very nice and cozy for fall. The jasmine sounds a little out of place but maybe I'm just not imagining it the way it really is.

Pumpkin Crème Brulee.....With vanilla bean scrapings
Possible decant but there are other Pumpkin scents I'm more interested in.......Like.......

Pumpkin Musk and Black Oudh......A strangely romantic, disturbingly erotic perfume
Disturbingly erotic? Sign me up for a decant. I thought seriously about a bottle but oudh doesn't always smell good to me. It's best when it just fades into the background, IMO.

Pumpkin Tobacco......Sweet black tobacco infused with dried pumpkin and soaked in bourbon
I really want to wear tobacco notes but I'm not sure they always work for me. Everything about this sounds fabulous. Why am I hesitating? Probably a decant.

Scarecrow Turned Philosopher.....Corn husks waving on an autumn breeze, beams of amber sunlight, hay bales, and late summer wildflowers
I am all over this concept, but I'm not sure about wildflowers. I don't love all floral notes, so this would be a risk. That's what decants are for, right? : )

Masque of the Red Death.......

A Multitude of Dreams......A blackened lavender mist, thick with opoponax, licorice root, and benzoin
Sounds somewhat promising, although I'm a little more picky with my incense scents these days (which is what this sounds like to me....incense). I like them if they are soft and elegant, not too strong. I don't like to smell like a big actual incense stick (but there was a time that was what I wanted). Possible decant, but not high priority.

A Young Boy and His Brother Seated on a Goat.......Polished mahogany, copal resin, Java sandalwood, teakwood, and Sumantran patchouli
This could be really good or not so good on me, just based on my experience with these notes. Copal tends to smell like cheap aftershave on me and not in a good way. My partner liked the sound of this one but I know certain scents make him wheeze and this sounded like one of those to me. I might get a decant just to satisfy my curiosity and his.

Cabras......Black pine, white sage, creeping ivy, and wild juniper
Sounds like a lot of green, pine and juniper.....I stopped buying these kinds of scents quite a while ago, maybe it's time to try again? The more I look at the notes, and the painting, the more curious I am getting.

I love patchouli and labdanum, and so I am curious about this. I don't think I particularly care for the other notes, especially muguet. But - somehow I think this might be good for my partner, or me. Possible decant.

Studie Einer Ziege.....Sweet labdanum with clove, tobacco absolute, and guiac wood
I actually had this in my cart and removed it before checkout. Again, I love labdanum. But the other notes sound very familiar to me, like I have a dozen other scents with these notes and don't even wear them that much (clove, tobacco..). I might have to get a decant and I may end up loving it. I'm in a mood today, so my judgment may not be the best.

Two Sheep and Two Goats Resting Together in a Field......Sweet vetiver, bourbon vanilla, and wool
I had this in mind for my partner but changed that to Jupiter Nourished at the last minute. I might still need to try a decant of this, either for him or me.

Venus Pandemos.....Hay, rose otto, red benzoin, torch smoke, and pink carnation
This could be really good, but it sounds very powdery and might be soapy as well. Possible decant.

Zoe and the Goat......Caramelized patchouli, cream, and thick golden honey
I picked Jupiter Nourished over this, hope I didn't make the wrong choice. Possible decant.

Pile of Leaves.......

Dead Leaves and Maple Sap.......possible decant, I love Burning Leaves by CBIHP, which is basically the same thing except with smoke added.

Dead Leaves and Scotch.....possible decant, sounds unbelievably cozy for a chilly fall day.

Dead Leaves and Vanilla Incense......I had this in the cart and took it back out. It sounds a little close to Hope and Fear Set Free, which I love. But - would I need both? Decant or partial bottle, probably.

Dead Leaves, Black Tea, and Tobacco Leaf......I had this in the cart too. But, I already have a few scents with tobacco. I am not sure. It might be really great. Possible decant or partial bottle.

Dead Leaves, Blackberry, and Red Patchouli.......how thorough do I want to be with the dead leaves? I don't want to miss a good one, like I know I have in the past. Maybe decant.

BBW is one of my guilty pleasures. I love getting shower gel/lotion combos and I love their foaming hand soap (although I have rather a lot of that at the moment, but I don't have any of their fall scents). I also like the C Bigelow nail and hand care products.

Would you like something from Walt Disney World?
I would love NMBC stuff, but other than that, I'm fine. I was just at Disneyland last December and am pretty stocked up.

In terms of candles, Amber and Velvet, Autumnvale Cafe, Ember and Mallow, Full Moon, Gemini all sound delightful. In terms of other stuff, the Hocus Pocus soap and scrub, Bermuda Triangle soap.

Generally, I love her scrubs and soaps (not as fond of the lotions) I would love to try Abnoba, Indian Summer, Putney Road, Princess Pony Sparklebutt in sample sizes of either scrub or soap. I also adore the Rice Pudding hot process soap.

I feel great about them! We have a pumpkin pillow and spider blankie that are used year round. I'd be particularly interested in flying things - bats, owls, ravens, gargoyles in blacks and purples.

I would definitely be interested in trying more soap and lotion products from Haus of Gloi and Arcana and Brooke's new stuff. I only wear BPAL perfumes, but am much more flexible with other products.

All of the above sound AMAZING. Probably no buttons on mits, though. For stripey, I do not have any that are peacock blue, so that with gray and black would be lovely (and probably the option that would get the most use).

Mixing an old LE with a GC

Well, I had this bottle of Candy Phoenix (the 2010 one). No one was really interested in swapping. So, I mixed it with my 1/3 bottle of persephone. I figured 2 sweet based perfumes would work mixed together. Also, TBH, I think the Candy Phoenix had been faded over time. I did the mixing oh, a month ago? I figured I should let it sit a while for the oils to get used to each other. So, now I'm opening & seeing what this smells like.

In the bottle: Holy hard candy, batman!! Red sugared candy overpowers everything. Not grooving on this so far.

Wet: Still red candy, with a faint whiff of PEZ candy?? (side note: anyone else wonder why they named a candy 'fish' when they were little?) There's rose coming out now, thank goodness.

Dry: Oh, this is *much* nicer. The rose beats back the sugar note (it's there, but background). Now I can smell fruit. Definite pomegranate, but also pear and, this is looney, but a little meyers lime? Like a lime without the bite. There's an incense note to it, like Candy Phoenix gets on me, but it stays in the back. Rose eventually becomes dominant over a background of fruit and the other notes only peek out sometimes. Oh, a bubblegum note pops out sometimes after about 1/2 hour.

How did I do? Well, I think this is <I>almost</i> a success. Somehow, combining the two makes it feel more grown-up than the originals alone. But, it's still solidly stuck at age 15/16. I kind of want to add something a touch more grounding in as well. But, I don't know if that would throw it due to the peeking in/out of bubblegum. The mix is really nice, but a touch incomplete in my head. I'll think on it and maybe figure it out. If not, it's nice enough on it's own for when I'm in the mood for something light and happy and silly.

Swap questions for 13 Nights of Halloween

A note to my Goblin(?) - I forgot to mention a format of books that is good is physical! I'm super happy to get books, and used books are good, too. And related to that, an inexpensive item I appreciate is a good bookmark. A handmade bookmark, even, if you are crafty that way.

What is your favorite thing about Halloween?

I love almost all of it. The cooler weather, longer nights, rain (I hope), and all the witches and ghosts and gothic funstuff my little heart could desire.

Would you like a Halloween-themed cross-stitch piece of art done by your partner? If so, do you prefer something practical, like a cross-stitch dishtowel or table runner, or something to be hung on the wall? I've been getting into cross-stitch again and having fun with Halloween patterns.

Sure, I'd love something like Halloween dishtowels, or along thos lines. We don't really do wall art at my house.

My introduction to Baba Gaga, who featured prominently in the witches book.)

What is your favorite thing about Halloween?
I answered this pretty thoroughly in my survey, I think, but kind of everything. I love celebrating with my kids and being able to buy animal skeletons at Target and the flavors and just really kind of all of it, other than not being terribly into orange and brown. I'm more of a black and purple halloweenie.

Would you like a Halloween-themed cross-stitch piece of art done by your partner? If so, do you prefer something practical, like a cross-stitch dishtowel or table runner, or something to be hung on the wall?
I would love this - something useful like a dishtowel (or bathroom towels) would be most beloved, as I have a wonderful house with very little usable wall space.

Always. Socks and arm warmers would probably get the most use, although a cowl could be cool as that's something I don't have at all.

Do you like Day of the Dead goodies? I love skulls and such, but I feel weird about the cultural appropriation aspects of a lot of Day of the Dead stuff as I have no cultural or spiritual connection. That said, I have received lovely items from folks who *do* have that connection in the past. Sorry for being complicated.

All of them nommy in my mouthy. I am a total sucker for apple and pumpkin and other butters this time of year. If you have a specialty, savory or sweet, I would LOVE to try it.

Quirky Socks: Goodness yes! I especially love silly Halloween themed socks, either ankle or knee length.

Stuff from Japan: Sure! My daughter and I both love Hello Kitty and Tokidoki and are suckers for any sort of mystery plushy sorts of things. I also adore the different flavors of kitkats you can get there and similar snacky goodies.

Yankee Candle: Sure, subject to the limits in my questionnaire. I do have a fondness for Yankee - my husband used to live close to their factory store in Western MA and we would go there all the time when he was in grad school.

Bath and Body Works: Another weakness of mine - I have a bad tendency to get matching shower gel and lotions there in foodie / fruity scents. I'd also love fall scents in their foaming hand soap.

Of the latest updates, Empress, Liliths, Jester, Emperor what are your wants and desires? Recent LES from this year, what are your wants and desires? My wishlist is up to date in this respect.

What about Disney? If you like Disney, what are your favorite characters?
I love Nightmare Before Christmas and the Muppets, but am not that into traditional Disney characters. I do like some of the Villians line, especially Maleficent and Ursula.

Star wars?
YES! Leia, Rey, Yoda, droids generally other than C3P0 who I find annoying. Also porgs were the most brilliant decision ever and I adore those little space puffins with all my heart.

And what about Harry Potter? Whats your favorite house and/or favorite character? I am all about all the HP. I am a Ravenclaw through and through (Slitherclaw if we're talking hybrid houses). Fave characters are Luna Lovegood, Hermione and I am a total puppy shipper (Sirius/Remus). (FWIW, my family already owns a lot of HP stuff - scarves for every house but Slytherin, a Ravenclaw mug and water bottle, robes for me and my wee Hooligan Hufflepuff, a stuffed Hedwig and Pidwigen...which is not to say we wouldn't welcome more. )

Hat with pompom or no: I don't have a strong preference, although without is probably slightly more likely to be worn on the regular. I definitely embrace the silly, so if the hat is just screaming for some sort of embellishment, go for it.
