9/5/2026 Do you want Halloween Ornaments?  I do like Creepmas ornaments!   I have some on my various wishlists.   9/4/2026 Do you burn candles and or wax melts?  Both technically, but not very often.     I have an extensive Halloween decor collection and could stand to rehome some things including Bath and Bodyworks wall plug-ins and Johanna Parker linens. Would you like to receive some items from this collection? If so what types of items would you like to recieve? (kitchenware, linens, home decor) I love the Bath and Bodyworks plug ins if they are super gothy.  I have a haunted house, a purple bat, and malificent.   I just googled Johanna Parker and sorry, it is just completely not my style.   How would you feel about The Cure Merch? Like Robert Smith?  I love the Cure!   9/2/2026 Anything from the Paintbox Soapworks fall updates look interesting? Mostly Bath Streusel.   I added the ones I'm interested in to my Moonsift wishlist.     How do we feel about shortbread? Any flavors you particularly interested in (I've done pumpkin, lavender, spicy, rose, chocolate, orange...)? Any amount you send will be fought over if I do not hide them immediately.      Do you use any sort of stationery? Japan is the land of cute stationery, so please let me know if any of the following sound fun to you: Washi tape gets used when I mail perfume.  I don't use planners or stickers that much.   Are you a black coffee or coffee with milk type of person? Both.   If the coffee is really amazing with a full body mouth feel I will drink it black.  Most coffee needs cream and sweetener.     What is your makeup color palette? Do you prefer neutral, warm, or cool colors? Bold or toned-down? Smokey eye, cool colors.  I rarely wear makeup.   What's your relationship to tarot? Do you want/need a deck? I have plenty of decks and I do not think there are any that I am pining for right now.   If you drink tea, are there any specific types you like/don't like and do you prefer loose leaf or bagged? My favorite is Mariage Frères (and Dammon Frères) but I can't share those wish lists -- so items are added to my Amazon beverages wish list along with some of my other favorite tea like Bird & Blend and Stephen Smith.  And some Harney & Son.  I added some August tea to my Amazon Beverages list too.   I'm totally down for trying any local to you black tea as well!  I love flavored but a plain black breakfast tea is fine too.   I also like Jasmine tea, it's pretty much the only green tea I drink besides matcha.   I also liketissanes with licorice root and mint; Yogi's Egyptian Licorice Mint (can usually find at your local grocery), Aveda tea, and Breathe Easy tea from Traditional Medicinals.  Also Throat Coat from Traditional Medicinals, would love to try the Eucalyptus one.  (I usually do the Slippery Elm.  Do not send me the Lemon Echinacea please!)   --- I say this in my answered questions, but will put it here too.  I loathe rooibos, honeybush, puerrh, mate, and most herbals/tissanes/caffeine free tea.  I don't really like most green tea, fruit tea, or oolong, except for milky oolong.   The only time I like caffeine free tea is if it's a hibiscus tea (like Tazo Passion) OR a licorice & mint tea.  I don't like barley, chamomile, malt, or chili in my tea.  I don't like mint or coffee mixed with black tea - the only thing I like mint tea mixed with is licorice root and basil.  (And this is really the only way I like the flavor mint at all, unless you count frangos or gum.)   I'll absolutely be snagging a few things from the Dragon Con online update- see anything you'd like? I am torn about physical vs digital as we are moving and trying not to take too much stuff. I read mostly audiobooks these days, but I also read on my kindle. Here is my Story Graph and Good Reads links hopefully. Story Graph is usually updated more regularly than Good Reads currently. I enjoy Romantasy, fantasay, scifi, urban fantasy, mysteries and such.   If you drink tea, are there any specific types you like/don't like and do you prefer loose leaf or bagged? I generally prefer loose leaf and oolong is my favorite with black teas a close second. I strongly prefer Chinese or Korean green teas over Japanese green teas.

Would you like washcloths or a scarf??  Possibly a hat??  if so what color(s) and do you have any fibers you can’t work with?  I mostly use wool but also yak, camel, nylon, cotton, silk, and acrylic. : A natural fiber, non-scratchy scarf in varied forest greens, and silver, blues, black is fine. I don't need any of these but if you want to make something, I will be happy to receive something handmade.   How do you feel about seasonal Japanese kitkat flavors provided they stay away from your "least favorite flavors" mentioned in the questionnaire?: nope. not gluten free 😐   Do you use any sort of stationery? I need to find a clean, very high quality matcha powder to try to lower my caffeine intake   Tea: black. (see colors above and in my questionnaire)   How do you feel about seasonal Japanese kitkat flavors provided they stay away from your "least favorite flavors" mentioned in the questionnaire?: ABSOLUTELY. My kiddo actually went to Japan over the summer and DID NOT BRING ME BACK ANY KITKATS and I almost disowned them.   I should note, as I think I failed to do so in my questionnaire, that I don't actually care for matcha. *ducks*   Do you use any sort of stationery? Japan is the land of cute stationery, so please let me know if any of the following sound fun to you: • a 2027 planner : No thank you. I have a disc notebook that I use as a planner • washi tape : sure! • stickers: sure!   Are you a black coffee or coffee with milk type of person?: Interestingly, I used to only be able to drink coffee with milk, but have started drinking it black more often (although usually at restaurants and such it's so strong I need milk). And I love a seasonally flavored latte.   What is your makeup color palette? Do you prefer neutral, warm, or cool colors? Bold or toned-down?: Bold and cool ish - mostly blues and greens for eyes, dark burgandy leaning a little brown for lips. I don't ever wear blush.    What's your relationship to tarot? Do you want/need a deck? : I don't really have one. I used to play around with a deck and with runes mostly for focusing intent, but haven't really used any sort of oracle for years. So, no thank you! • How would you feel about an opened but never used deck?: na, unless it is really themed to one of my fandoms, I guess.   Is there anything specifically from Japan you would be interested in?: Other than kitkats, I'm pretty set (my youngest is into anime and manga and just went to Japan this past summer and we're planning a family trip next summer and regularly hit a local store specializing in Japanese imports, so we are very set at the moment).   Tea: I mostly drink black tea and herbal/tsanes and particularly like gourmond blends in seasonal flavors. Loose or bags are both fine. Do check my Goodreads, though, because I have a lot on my shelves there.    Do you burn candles and or wax melts? Candles, yes, although I have a TON, so really only if it is absolutely the most me scent/design you've ever seen.    I have an extensive Halloween decor collection and could stand to rehome some things including Bath and Bodyworks wall plug-ins and Johanna Parker linens. Would you like to receive some items from this collection? If so what types of items would you like to recieve? (kitchenware, linens, home decor) I love the Johanna Parker designs I've been able to google, particularly the bats and cats. I always love new festive kitchen towels and mugs, etc.    How would you feel about The Cure Merch? Maybe? I haven't really thought about it, but do like the band.

Maybe The Witch's Forest, but I'm not sure. I don't have much experience with this company, and the note lists are a bit intimidating!   What are your preferred Halloween colors?   I prefer a more muted color palette, but generally black, muted purples, and muted oranges. I've got an autumn/Halloween moodboard linked in my signature!   Would you like washcloths or a scarf??  Possibly a hat??

I mostly drink black tea, and I love a good chai. I don't like matcha, most green teas, or tea where apple is an inclusion. Second live online discussion section added for The Hunger Games!

Our Hunger Games series went so well the first time, we’re doing it again! And it’s perfect timing, too, given that the film adaptation of Sunrise on the Reaping will be coming this autumn. You’re invited to join me in SPACE (Signum Portals for Adult Continuing Education) online via Signum University to talk about all five books in The Hunger Games series! The first module has been confirmed to run in June 2026. The first live online discussion section is full, but we’ve added a second. If you enroll now, you can be a part of the scheduling to make sure it’s convenient for you! What lessons do the Capitol and Districts have to teach us? What warnings should we heed? What road leads from here to Panem? Over the course of five months, participants in these SPACE modules will read and discuss a modern classic of dystopian storytelling, The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins.

In this hybrid series, each week will include one lecture and one live discussion. The lectures will examine the inspirations behind, allusions in, and questions posed by that month’s novel. In live discussions, participants will share their insights on, interpretations of, and reactions to the story. Spring Cleaning 2026 Questions

Updated 4/19 2:30pm   Green tea blends?  I am pretty picky about green tea. If it is otherwise in my flavor profile in terms of fruity/gourmond, sure, but I dislike matcha and plain green tea    Jigsaw puzzle? How many pieces? I do like jigsaw puzzles - my preference would be 500-1000, leaning toward more complexIs   anyone interested in blank books/notebooks, and if so, do you have a preference for blank pages, lined, dot grid, grid, etc? I love a good blank book and generally prefer either fully blank pages, but do love me a dot grid. I tend to use them for my mystery gaming, so anything that makes mapping out weird diagrams while also facilitating lots of writing is great!   How do you feel about lavender in body products? I like it if it is not super super floral. So something like TKO with the lavender and vanilla is lovely, but something that is just straight up floral lavender is not my thing.    Any interest in fuzzy knitted winter scarves? How about nice dressy scarves? No thank you on the winter scarves. I have SO MANY winter scarves. In terms of other scarves, if something seems super up my alley, as in has an animal I love or skulls or something, sure.     If you could have one BPAL scent in a homemade shea lotion, what would it be? This is my question, but generally speaking, I would ADORE Sudha Segara scented products, but it does not work in shea butter, something I learned after emptying almost half a bottle into a batch and coming up with zero added scent.

I am so happy to report that in May 2026, I’ll be offering a standalone module with SPACE (Signum Portals for Adult Continuing Education) online via Signum University on Donna Tartt's The Secret History.
