Wolfenoot 2022 Swap Answers

Lilliths and Weenies - let's see...I'm interested in Oct. 32nd, Apple Macchiato, The Wind Strike Chill and Cold, Torta Setteveli, Bobbing for Zombies, Dead Leaves and Horchata, Lightning Strikes Cinema, and The Necromancer.   Are you interested in having a bag from our shop? Yes!    Would you be interested in a hand embroidered scarf? I would love one! I do wear a ton of scarves and handmade touches are always nice.    If you're up for knits or crochet, would you prefer washcloths, headbands, wrist cuffs, fingerless mitts, hats, or a shawlette (wear like scarf except not as long so can't wrap around your neck more than 1-2x.)  I could probably find a bunch of the above with moon motifs or for dogs/sneks/birbs/cats to wear. Washcloths, wrist cuffs, fingerless mitts, or shawlette would be my preference, though I unfortunately can't wear wool - itchy! I don't think my pets would put up with ANY of these things being put on their bodies lol.   Are you interested in an advent calendar?  What kind? Hmmmm. Chocolate is always good. I don't really know what all the options are. (Then this librarian went to do some research and found soooo many cool ones. But most are super $$, unfortunately)   wolfeloot, are you interested in a good karma squishable snow wolf? Yep, super cute!!   If I were to send a toy from one of my favorite critter toy sources, would you have any preferences? (squeaky/not, plush, chewy, etc.) There are currently 4 dogs and 2 cats here, ranging in age from 4 mos to geriatric. So any of the above would work. Squeakies are well loved here, but Tevin (our big guy who plays big brother to all the littles) loves to have a "baby" to carry around. This is usually just a stuffie that he hoards and hides from the other dogs.   Little Wolfies - Arcana has dropped Hallowitch stuff and a 15% off deal. Shout out if you see anything you'd love! I'd be up for Evil Eye, Coven, Sleepy Hollow, Mountain Witch all look interesting   What are your favorite shops to buy fun things (treats, toys, clothes, whatever) for your fuzzy friends? We spend A LOT of money with Chewy. We also have a local farmer's co-op that sells pet items, so we like to support them too.   Favorite tea brands and flavors?  I spend a lot of time drinking coffee, so sometimes my tea stash doesn't get enough love. When I do drink tea, I really just like to try different kinds. Harney and Sons hot cinnamon is a perennial fave, but I've got a pretty good amount of that.   Would you want a watercolor of your pet? NO promises that it will be amazing- just wanted to ask in case you prefer a different pic for watercolor vs pain Of course! I'll need to try to upload some pics of these crazy fur children   Dear wolfeloot, are you interested in a microwaveable bowl cozy? Actually, this is a thing that I always wish I had and can't believe I haven't bought myself yet!    Dear 'loot -- would you like a 2023 wall calendar (or other type?)   What kind? Sure, or maybe one of those desk calendars with a page per day? Something funny - or cute? I don't know. I'm not picky.   Are you interested in having any freshly dried apple crips?   (Golden Delicious and Fuji -- sliced, dried apples with nothing added.) Sure! I eat tons of the dried apples from Trader Joe's, so I would love it.   how culinarily adventurous would you say you are???? I'd say I'm up for most anything. I enjoy trying new things.    And I thought I answered this one, but that was apparently the This Is Halloween swap answers: I'd love to have one of the bags from the Etsy shop. I always have projects and small items to tote around. I like any of the cat fabrics and also the Princess Bride. (I've had my eye on these for a few swaps now!)   And here are my answers to the original questionnaire. There were some links in there that I don't think carried over to email:

Halloween update - breakdown!

I've already made a purchase but this is to help me decide which others I need, or if I want to try for decants, etc.. I'm going back to my good ol' rating system where I put my interest level on a 1-5 scale.    Abelard Coconut husk and pearwood with frankincense and carnation petals.  This might be nice, I'd certainly try it if it were put in front of me.  Kind of sounds like a Luper.  3/5   Apple Macchiato This is a homage to the upstart little sister of Caffeinated Autumn Beverages: apple spice, cinnamon, brown sugar, oatmilk, and caramel apple drizzle over espresso.  Not much looking for gourmand scents this time around, but still might try this somewhere down the road.  3/5    Autumn 1990 This is the scent of a disaffected deathrock kid skulking around Hollywood with her ne’er-do-well friends: pre-climate catastrophe autumn winds billowing through a cloud of decaying leaves, exhaust fumes, maximum-hold hairspray, and clove cigarettes, but minus the Boones Farm.  At first I wasn't interested but now I'm thinking this could be kind of an evolved cousin of Devil's Night, and I'm a little more interested.  I love atmospheric scents.  This went from a 3 to 4/5   Every Day is Halloween Skin-warmed sandalwood and toasted pumpkin settle into a gentle blend suitable for all 365 days of Halloween.  I have a previous bottle, like it but definitely don't need more.  1/5    Fleece Skeleton Onesie The scent of freshly-washed fleece skeleton onesie and a little bit of smeared eyeliner.  I just got skeleton onesies for myself and my partner, so I was cracking up when I saw this!  I do like "clean laundry" type scents, enough to have multiple of them, and this sounds like a spooky variation of that.  I will say 4/5   Heloise Polished limewood, myrrh smoke, and blackened spices.  Could be good, but not making a huge impression on me.. something like a darker Mr. Nancy?  I'd try a decant, maybe.. 3/5      L.A. River Pumpkin An offering of sun-warmed pumpkin flesh anointed with slithering green musks, sun-dried grasses, pineapple juice, and squished prickly pear fruit.  Not sure about this one.  I haven't tried any of the Lab's pineapple scents, I'm kind of scared of it.  I'd try it, but not seeking it out.  (And I could be totally wrong, it's been known to happen, lol!) 2/5   October 32nd The scent of Eternal October: leaves fluttering against a thick wool sweater, the cool amber glow of an autumn sunset, dollops of thick cream swirling in black tea.  I do love tea scents, never tried this one but all the notes sound okay, so why isn't it grabbing my attention (and didn't last year)?  3/5    Oil and Blood There are no saints here: thick blackened rivulets of blood soak through linen winding sheets and cold clay.  This could be good, but it could go a little too "perfumey" on me?  I'd certainly like to try it.  4/5    Pomegranate Tiramisu Lady Fingers soaked in pomegranate syrup and tipped with fingernails of sliced almond, entombed in layers of mascarpone and crème fraîche and then topped with a sprinkle of fresh pomegranate seeds.  Not calling out to me, but I would try it on if it crossed my path.  2/5    Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffin Pumpkiny, chocolatey, muffiny.  Doesn't sound like my kind of thing. 1/5    Pumpkin Spice Latte Getting back to basics.  I already have Pinched w/Four Pumpkins, don't think I need this.  2/5    Samhain Truly the scent of autumn itself — damp woods, fir needle, and black patchouli with the gentlest touches of warm pumpkin, clove, nutmeg, allspice, sweet red apple and mullein.  I love Samhain but I already have lots of it, various decants and a few bottles.  Don't need more right now but I would try it in the interest of comparing to other years.  2/5   Sugar Skull Vibrant with the joy and sweetness of life in death! A blend of five sugars, lightly dusted with candied fruits.  I love the older Sugar Skull, but last year's (or was it the year before?) was a very different variation that I didn't like as much.  I do have a couple older bottles now and a few different decants, so I don't really need more, but I'd be really interested to know if it's the newer variant again, or if it's back to the older formula (but I think even the older formula went through some slight variation from year to year..but this is another topic).  2/5    The Shadowed Veil A strangely sensual, darkly fae All Hallow’s Eve cologne, a perfume of the Otherworld: black pumpkin, leather, pomegranate incense, agarwood, and bourbon patchouli.  I have an older decant, like it, don't need more.  But again I do like comparing different years of the same scent.  2/5    The Unreturning When far-gone dead return upon the world: wisps of spectral white musk and ambergris, blackened leather, yew needles, cypress boughs, gnarled patchouli root, and the memory of frankincense smoke.  White musk can be borderline soapy or too perfumey, and ambergris can take over everything on my skin.  Not willing to risk this one but I'd try it.  2/5    The Wind Strike Chill and Cold The frost of undeath: an icy and lustrous white mint with ti leaf, white amber, and bruised lilac.  I already have Icy Fingers from previous Halloween (is that what it was called?), and this isn't really calling out to me.  I'm not a huge lilac fan.  1-2/5    Torta Setteveli A classic Sicilian recipe alternating layers of chocolate sponge cake, hazelnut Bavarian cream, chocolate mousse, and hazelnut praline crunch, all enrobed in a dark chocolate mirror glaze.  I don't really like chocolate or nut notes in perfume, usually.  1/5   X-Rayed Candy Bag The sugary contents of last night’s Trick-or-Treat bucket blasted with atomic particles at your local hospital, producing a stark image of ghostly treats cast in a greeny-white radioactive glow.  This isn't really calling out to me.  I'd try it, though.  2/5    Halloween 2022 - Bobbing for Apples 2022 Not really into apple scents for the most part, although I still try them out from time to time.  So....   Bobbing for Ball Gags Black leather, honeyed amber, and a bite of apple.  2/5   Bobbing for Blood Kisses Gleaming red apples sloshing through lush, creamy vanilla and the honey of the sweetest kiss smeared with the vital throb of husky clove, swollen red cherries, but darkened with the vampiric sensuality of vetiver, soporific poppy and blood red wine, and a skin-light pulse of feral musk. 2/5    Bobbing for Daddy The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Get it? Fall! Our ongoing collaboration with the pro-wrestler EFFY has taken a decidedly seasonal turn, conjuring fantasies of apple picking, polishing, nibbling, and even a bit of juicing if the mood is right. Blended together with DADDY’s signature notes of diabolical incense, bay rum and a hiss of infernal fougere, this is one hayride you won’t want to miss. 1/5    Bobbing for Dodos Pink lady apples with pink and red musks, lemon peel, sugar cane, cassia, white sandalwood, mango, and agarwood.  2/5    Bobbing for Jack O’Lanterns Spiced baked apples with nutmeg and cinnamon mushed into pumpkin pulp, glowing peach, and murky clove. 2/5    Bobbing for Oblivion Arkansas black apples with inky musk, wood spice, labdanum, patchouli, dark African woods, and saffron.  Maybe?  Sounds interesting.  3/5    Bobbing for Smut Three booze soaked apples soaked in smutty musks and sugar.  Might be interesting.. 3/5    Bobbing for Snake Oil Our best-selling fragrance gets dunked: apples crushed into vintage patchouli, dark, rich, aged vanilla absolute, vegetal musk, and spices.  I'll try just about any Snake Oil variant.  3/5    Bobbing for Zombies Dried rose petals and leathery dried apples soiled with Spanish moss, oakmoss and deep brown earth.  2/5    Halloween 2022 - Dead Leaves 2022  I have roughly 1 million dead leaves scents already so it will have to be something really interesting to catch my eye...   Dead Leaves And Horchata  DL+ sweet and/or spicy is usually good but sometimes can go wrong on me.  Pass for now.  2/5    Dead Leaves, and Ginger Spice  And here it is, the one I bought!  I'm really hopeful for this one to be great.  4/5   Dead Leaves, Boot Leather, and Sweet Grass  Not really my thing right now.. 2/5    Dead Leaves, Praline, and Sheer Vanilla  See DL& Horchata.. 2/5    Dead Leaves, Scorched Pumpkin, and Marshmallows  This was close but DL& Ginger Spice won out.  This has marshmallow so I fully expect it to sell out.  I'll watch for reviews!  3/5    Dead Leaves, Vanilla Bean, Pink Fig, and Brandied Dates  Dates + vanilla bean does catch my eye but fig is historically a note I don't care about either way.  Brandied dates makes it sound even better, though.. will have to see what happens.. 3-4/5    Halloween 2022 - Ginormous Yard Skeleton   Angst Charred sandalwood and cardamom soured by bitter caraway seed.  I tend to avoid caraway (in perfumes).  1/5    Anticipation Red sandalwood and white pumpkin prickling with black pepper, orange blossom, and bergamot.  Nothing here sounds bad, but it's not really grabbing me.  2/5    Despondency A sorrowful Halloween blend of pumpkin puree, lavender bud, night-blooming violets, purple sandalwood, and tears.  Hmm, this does sound interesting.  Violet is one of those notes I don't love but do crave occasionally.  It kind of amps on my skin but I bet pumpkin and lavender would be good balancing notes.  This is a possibility.  4?/5    Victory A joyous fusion of pumpkin cheesecake and champagne.  I have Pumpkin Cheesecake, I love it but probably don't need this.. we'll see.  3/5    Halloween 2022 - Lightning Strikes   Lightning Strikes Cinema The scent of sitting in a darkened theater in a rainstorm circa 1935, marveling at the alchemy that transforms scribbled words into specters of light, shadow, and sound: dripping umbrellas, a nicotine haze clinging to musty velvet curtains, camphorous vapors rising from strips of hot celluloid.  It's a kind of scent I usually am drawn to, but there's a lot of competition in this update.  Undecided.  3/5    Lightning Strikes Literature The incendiary moment when a human hand snatches fire from the gods of creativity and channels it onto the page: a lightning storm stirred with beeswax candle smoke, yellowing notebooks, and pools of India ink.  I'm not crazy about beeswax- related scents.  2/5    Lightning Strikes the Future The ultimate lab experiment: streaks of feral red musk twining in a double-helix around a pulsing, electrified core of fossilized amber, erupting from a glimmering pool of reactor coolant.  Not sure.. these notes aren't calling out to me for some reason.  2/5    Halloween 2022 - Persephone’s Bounty I'm just not a big pomegranate fan (in perfumes).  I did just get Pomegranate Morocco, and that's about all I need right now.    Pomegranate Oud 2/5  Pomegranate Turkish Delight 2/5  Pomegranate, Brown Sugar, and Tobacco 2/5  Pomegranate, Freesia, White Tea, and White Amber 2/5  Pomegranate, Patchouli, Moss, and Fir Needle 2/5  Pomegranate, Pink Pepper, and Black Apple 2/5    Halloween 2022 - Witches, Sorceresses, and Sorceries in Art History   A Breton Sorceress Tonka bean, yellow bergamot, ambrette seed, patchouli root, oak bark and leaf, bitter almond, smoked cedar, allspice, and vanilla absolute.  Sounds very cozy and warm.  I ordered a bottle.  4/5    A Sorceress Black silk, golden thread, skin musk, white sandalwood, vanilla dust, red lotus absolute, tonka absolute, serpent scale accord, and black amber.  A few of these notes are kind of just not really my thing, like silk, skin musk, black amber (sometimes works).  I see the word "red" and worry about that too.  This could go either way, but I'm not risking it right now.  2/5    An Enchanted Cellar with Animals A cacophony of feathers and fur, cracked clay and moist stone, scattered rushes, upturned herbs, red sage, and frankincense smoke.  Sounds good but I don't know what red sage smells like.  Again sometimes "red" notes clash with my skin & nose.  Pass for now.  3/5    Dulle Griet Black oud, bay leaf, olibanum, rose smoke, cassis, green cardamom, clove bud, and black sandalwood.  I would try this if it crossed my path.  2 "black" notes kind of put me off, but it has potential.  3/5    Gooped Familiar Sweet black musk, golden amber, cedarwood, catnip, and hay absolute with a shock of carnation, clove, and cinnamon bark.  Probably smells good but isn't rising above the competition in this update.  I'll keep my eye on it.  3/5    Heksenbijeenkomst Black oud and wild plum, tobacco leaf, black amber, opium smoke, and myrrh tar.  I have a decant of Dead Leaves, oud, plum etc and I like it fine, but this doesn't call out to me.  Will watch.  3/5    La Danse de la Sorciere Auburn amber, polished wood, dribbles of golden honey, a cascade of budding herbs, red sandalwood, and sugared white amber.  Something about this combination doesn't sound like 'me'.  2/5    Lightning Struck a Flock of Witches A crack of ozone slicing through blue benzoin, indigo musk, tobacco, and opoponax.  Same as above.. 1/5    Nocturnal Witches Scene Hungarian pine needles, oak wood, black mosses, smoldering pitch, and bonfire smoke.  This sounds very interesting to me, it's kind of a risk but I went for a bottle.  4/5    Peasants Fleeing (Witchcraft) Yellow balsam, well-worn leather, dark musk, and mud-spattered wool.  This is a combination that does call out to me, for whatever reason, I went for a bottle.  Might be too strong, hope not.  4/5    Scene with Witches Smoked ambergris accord, gray silk, incense-stained cotton, and crushed herbs.  I don't usually like ambergris, it's one of the few notes I usually avoid.  Add in "gray silk" and I'm out.  The other 2 notes do sound good.  2/5    The Dance of the Farfadets Gray sandalwood, packed earth, hinoki, patchouli root, myrrh resin, and balsam.  There's that "gray" again, but this time... Look at that artwork!  I had to get a bottle.  I like a lot of earthy scents, so maybe it will work.  4/5    The Love Potion Golden neroli, blackcurrant, candied pomegranate, gilded rosewood, smoldering incense resin, and rose musk.  Not sure.  This has a lot of potential, but I passed for now.  It could turn soapy on me, or too perfumey.  Will keep it in mind.. 3/5    The Necromancer Dusty tomes, russet cashmere, green velvet, and leather, frankincense and cinnamon bark, galangal root and fig, rosewater and lilac cologne.  This sounds good, and I had it in my cart.  When I see a long list of notes, I know from experience it has potential to go wrong somewhere.  Will keep it in mind.  3/5    Three People Plucking a Mandrake A tangle of mandrake root and patchouli root bound by champaca resin.  Champaca resin is one of my favorite notes, and I love patchouli.  Bottled.  5/5    Tovenares Pale woods and dried rose petals, white sandalwood, bone dust, sweet amber, and incense smoke.  "Pale", "dried", "white" and "dust" all sounds very dry and/or perfumey to me.  Pass for now, although I do like woods, some rose, some amber, and some incense smoke.  3/5    Witchecraft: Consulting a Book of Spells, Performing Various Rites Candlewax, clove leaf, yellowed parchment, a cluster of mosses, incense resin, black pepper, cardamom, black amber, and ylang ylang.  Combination not calling to me.. 2/5    Witches at Their Incantations Red olibanum, scorched opoponax, 13-year aged myrrh oil, and champaca absolute.  Red olibanum is very worrisome to me, and myrrh might push this over the edge into "too perfumey", but it definitely has potential.  3/5    Witches Taking off for the Sabbath Broomcorn and tallow, waxed pine wood, pumpkin seeds, orris root, oakmoss, dried fig, frankincense, ambrette seed, dragon’s blood ink, and a drop of cacao.  Kind of neutral on this - but not really calling me.  2/5    Witches’ Kitchen Bourbon tobacco absolute, nagarmotha, vetiver, tomato leaf, gunpowder, yarrow stalks, brimstone, vervain, seared leather, and castoreum accord.  Right now this doesn't sound like my thing, but that could change.. pass for now.. 3/5    Young Witches at Play in the Night Sky Cloudstruck white musk, orris root, white bergamot, magnolia petals, fir needle, and juniper mist.  Again, sounds perfumey, but I'm interested because of the magnolia petals.  I think that might be like champaca.  Pass for now, will watch.  3/5

Song: “Long Black Veil” Quote: Oh, the scaffold is high and eternity’s near. She stood in the crowd and shed not a tear. Halloween 2022: Day 2

Song: “Knoxville Boy” Quote: When the moon is high the Knoxville boy
Goes prowling out to kill.
We don’t know why so many die
To give that boy a thrill.
A handsome lad with a wealthy dad
And eyes of bluebird blue,
He’s killed before, he’ll kill some more,
And the next one could be you.

When the fog rolls into Knoxville
And the river’s on the rise,
Don’t go near the Knoxville boy
There’s murder in his eyes. Listen to Larry Stephenson’s performance…

Halloween 2022: Day 1

October is here! This year for my Halloween countdown, with the invaluable assistance of my husband (and resident expert on all things Appalachian), I will be bringing you a spooky, Halloween-appropriate song with a twist of mountain flavor. I’ve chosen one version of each of these songs to share, but some have been recorded and reinterpreted many, many times. If you like “Boograss” (or Spooky Bluegrass), Southern Gothic tales, traditional murder ballads, ghost stories, and/or Halloween chills, I hope you will enjoy each day’s post! Song: “O Death” Quote: O Death, O Death in the morning, O Death, spare me over ‘til another year.
Listen to Rhiannon Giddens’ performance…

This is Halloween Swap Part 2

Whew, that other post was getting looooong. You all ask some good questions! Here is the continuation:   Would you like any decor from Say Target, Homewood, or William and Sonoma? Nothing specific, thanks!   Would you be interested in a bag like we sell in our etsy shop?   https://twinklentwilight.etsy.com These are cute! I love both of the cat fabrics (the cats and moons and the Binx fabric)   If you are a yarnie, are you interested in a ceramic yarn bowl?  I have an extra Harry Potter (I know, I know) one from Lennymud that I bought before the whole JKR debacle and it didn't profit her in any form anyway.  I believe it's Gryffindor themed. Not too much of a yarnie   If you are a yarnie, I'd love to gift some yarn from my stash so give me an idea of colors / weight / material / yardage you'd like.   Yarn is one of those things I always *think* I'll use, but I never get around to it   Are you interested in trying some of our "thunder butter"?  It's like tiger balm or icy hot, but with herbs, beeswax, cayenne or ghost pepper, menthol, wintergreen.  cbd version or no? Sure! I'm always looking for something to relax my muscles after a run   I need to inventory our canned goods but do you like things like peach jam, cardamom plum jam, peach butter, plum butter, pickles, applesauce with nothing added, applesauce with red hots, dried apples or pears, bread and butter pickles, dill pickles, blackberry jam, huckleberry jam, candied jalapenos?  ...all of these things sound good to me!   Any interest in things from our garden like dried mint, catnip, lavender, rose petals, dill weed or dill seeds, sage, rue, mugwort, rosemary? No Thank you   How about alcoholic things like rose petal liqueur, lavender vanilla bean liqueur, various flavors of mead (chocolate orange, strawberry mango, whatever my son is making)? I would love it, but I don't think you can mail alcohol to Massachusetts   Pumpkin bread or zucchini bread?  How about blueberry zucchini bread with a lemon glaze?   Pumpkin bread is yum!   I make specialty simple syrups. You can use them in teas or cocktails (and desserts).  How do you feel about a Hibiscus simple syrup? I use 2 ounce bottles for these so its just a fun amount.  Sure! Always looking for something to spice up the cocktails with   Format for tea? e.g. teabag vs loose Loose, please. I'm more of a coffee person, but when I do drink tea, I have a tea bottle with a built in infuser   Do you like spooky themed tights? If so, what are your measurements? Sounds interesting. Last time I bought tights from Snag I got a size E. I'm not sure about other companies.    Pls post your book wishlist! This is my Goodreads TBR pile. Sorry it's so long. It's easiest to sort it by newest date added.   Would you like to receive a 2D collage art piece? What overall vibe would you be into? (spooky, autumnal, whimsical, eerie, lovely, occult, bizarre, smutty etc.?) Sure! Autumnal and whimsical are pretty fitting.   Do you like rocks/gemstone jewelry? Prefer polished/smooth rocks or raw/rough? Any favorite stones, rocks, colors that you'd like? Not sure about this one.    Any interest in the August releases that got announced today? https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/product-tag/august-2022/ Surprisingly, not a ton of these are catching my eye. Really just A Summer Night   Luvmilks seasonal goodies are out! What scents and formats appeal to you, my little pumpkin?  They don't seem to be available anymore   Would you like a Pyrex 4-cup Nightmare Before Christmas bowl with lid?   (Can also get Starwars and various Disney ones.) No thank you   August Tea's fall sale starts tomorrow, 20% off everything on the site with code FALL20.  Is there anything you would like to try, my Pumpkin?  I would try any of the herbal ones. Psychocandy looks yummy   Do you wear nail polish, and if so, would you like some? What colors or finishes? I'm pretty well stocked on polish at the moment, thanks   I'm going to the farmer's market tomorrow, and there are lots of great vendors. Would you be interested in soap or chapstick or bath/body products?  Interesting bar soap is always welcome. I lean more to floral and less to herbal   Would you be interested in a tumbler like these? If so, what theme would you like it to be? Glitter or no glitter? What color do you want the liquid to be or would you prefer the blood drip look?  Cooool! Glitter is always fun. Whatever color - autumnal is fun. No blood dripping, please!   How do you feel about ribbons?  Is there anything in particular you are looking for if you'd want some?  What about ribbon remnants?  Colors/textures? No thank you   Would you be interested in any skincare items?  Anything you would not want? I have super sensitive rosacea skin. Most things make it mad : (   New question: Is anyone else interested in the latest Sphere & Sundry release? https://sphereandsundry.com/offerings/bpals-of-exalted-venus-ii/ Or other S&S offerings? No thank you   Do you have any interest in trying my infused moonshine whiskey? I've been thinking of experimenting with autumn spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove) and maybe a chocolate chai.  I think I would LOVE it, but also not sure if you can ship it to Massachusetts. We can't mail order beer or wine here   Any interest in spooky shape wax melts in your favorite candle scents? (What are your favorite candle scents?) I don't have a way to use them, sadly   How about lotion bars? I would love to try one.    Bird and Blend tea just did their Autumn drop! Anything look good to you? https://www.birdandblendtea.us  (Also, if you're not a pumpkin person, I invite you to check out the rest of their offerings, which are always exceptional!)     Ummm, all of them look amazing. You choose!   Arcana Craves halloween drop! Anything catching your eye? https://arcanacraves.com/ Oh, see I tried to open this page at school on my lunch break today. Bad idea lol! Now that I'm home, let's see...Honey Craves Coffee Shops or Fairy Rings. Marshmallows Pounce! and Kick! and Drown! (This was fun to write!)   I feel like with some of the witchy/seasonal stuff it might be helpful to know everyone's signs.  If you're interested in that kind of thing, what's your sign?  Sagittarius   Would you like anything from The Pickety Witch? (I'm going to the Vegas Oddities and Curiosities Expo next weekend, and she's vending there, so it may not matter if an item is in stock or not on the website!) https://www.thepicketywitch.com/  No thanks   so these nail polishes keep showing up on my instagram and they are kinda vampy--do you wear polish and do any of these float your boat?  NOTE I have never worn Holo Taco stuff so cannot vouch for quality just the vibes are super witchy  https://www.holotaco.com/collections/dark-rainbow-collection I'm still pretty well stocked for polish, however Dead Petals is quite pretty   I have another new question! Favorite bands/artists? Perhaps you'd be interested in a DIY patch to sew onto your jacket/pants/bag or maybe pins or a sticker or anything DIY-ish? Brandi Carlile all the way. (But also Lucius, Gregory Alan Isakov, Katie Pruitt.)   oooh I am reviewing my switch witch help answers from 2017 and was reminded of Lush--there used to be a big Lushie/BPALista crossover at one point.  Is that still the case?  If so dearest pumpkin are you a Lushie?  Is there anything from Lush you are coveting?  Their halloweenie stuff is out here: https://www.lushusa.com/halloween/?cgid=halloween&pmid=604&start=0&sz=28 No bathtub takes most of the fun out of Lush for me, sadly   Because clothing sizing is so notoriously random &&& my idea of cute may be entirely different from your cute... sock dreams?  yea or nay?  Anything in particular catch your eyes? I love Sock Dreams! Their cozy stripey socks are really nice.    I have been buying soap from https://rockytopsoap.com for at least a decade as they are unscented and less likely to affect which perfume I pull out.... I realize they are not colored and swirly and as pretty but they tend to be super hydrating and luxurious.  Do you have any interest in these? Whatever is the most hydrating one would be best for me. I'm staring down the barrel of yet another cold New England winter that will surely zap my skin   Nocturne Alchemy just dropped their Halloween 2022 limited collection! I am popping in here to see if anything would strike the fancy of my pumpkin?  https://nocturnealchemy.com/collections/limited-collection/products/new-halloween-2022-limited-collection No thank you   Here's a question... there's sooooooo many on here about tea but for my fellow coffee gals... do you prefer whole bean or ground??  if there's a choice how do you like your coffee ground?? Coffee, coffee, COFFEE! I am here for this subject. I prefer whole bean, but it's not too big a deal. Just a regular drip grind is fine. Dark roasts are awesome, as are fun flavored coffees. Really I just like coffee.   Look at Cat Coven's site and tell me what you see that appeals - she is one of my favorite Halloweeny artists, and makes awesome things. I like supporting her work. https://www.catcoven.com/collections/new-arrivals I do like her Dream Cat print   Are you interested in any art supplies? If so, what kinds and colours? No thank you
What are your fave smells for incense, and do you have a preference for format (cones, stick, loose without needing charcoal, loose that needs charcoal)? No incense please.
Anything catch your eye from this super cool queer creepy-cute style UK artist? https://www.abprallen.co.uk/ No thank you   Pls say more about your book preferences if you haven't already! Esp. regarding fiction. I spend a ton of time reading YA books for my job, so that's a whole thing, but when I do read "big people books," I love magical realism and fantasy. Not so much the dragons and wizards fantasy anymore (though I have read a ton and still love it) but more like Erin Morgenstern stuff. I have adored both of her books and can't wait for more.   Also, I am right handed. Pretty useless with the left!
