    2018 SW Condiments

10/19/18 would you like a crocheted doll related to one of your interests? Omg yes. AHS, the Magicians, Marvel, Firefly, MLP, or Disney would be amazing. Would you want me to put a collection of rocks/gems together for you? And if so, is there anything you'd want me to focus on? (health, peace, protection, creativity, love, etc...) RAWKS! I love rocks. I need to focus right now on intuition, spirit-talk, calming, clarity, and centredness. 10/17/18 I have a new question! I'll be headed to the PA RenFaire the end of this month. Is there anything you'd be interested in? http://www.parenfaire.com/faire.html(if you scroll down a bunch there's a list of merchants) Yass Ren Faire! I love anything faire-related. 10/16/18 Are you a board game nerd like me? Is there a game you want right now? I love board games but don't have particulars on the docket! Some of my favorites include Kill Dr. Lucky and Catan (I have the original). 10/15/18 There are some really awesome spice shops in NYC. Would you like/need any herbs or spices? Hm, I always love a good spice blend but I'm not on the hunt for anything in particular. I love garlic, indian spices, mexican spices, etc. Anything from this curiosity shop the type of thing that interests you? Dreadful Curiosities: https://www.facebook.com/pg/dreadfulcuriosities/photos/ I love animal skulls and bones and art made with them... but of course I want them to be ethically sourced. Found is best. I couldn't see if this company lists where they source their bones. 10/14/18 For those of us Switch Witches who ARE witches....if you have a Book of Spells would you like a page for it from your witch? What a cool idea!! Sure!! A page of something that my Witch (if they are a witch) feels is their 'forte' would be really cool! I've found so many witches have natural affinities, it's neat to hear what others do regularly and how. What house were you sorted into? I'm a Slytherin-Pukwudgie 10/13/18 Practical Magic or Hocus Pocus? Yes, please, AND the Craft, AND AHS Coven, AND Ghost Whisperer, AND all the witch movies. Does anything from either of these shops interest you? The Stitchety Witch stitch creations and patterns Black Abbey Studios art w/ a gothic tendency Ohhh those are both such great fun! I love the witty and witchy snark from Stitchety Witch, and the black goat print from Black Abbey is lovely. Is there something (either a specific item, or type of item, like bath/body, perfume, candy etc) you're really looking forward to or hoping to get? No, I love the surprise of what someone chooses for me! What's something you want or look at, but always talk yourself out of buying (or for whatever reason never purchase)? Corsets. Are there any subscription/subscription style boxes you have an interest in? (This could be a very specific sub like sihaya or lootcrate or an idea/concept you're interested in without a specific company in mind, like "book related candles"). I would like to get Barkbox for my furkids. Lootcrate seems fun, but I'm sure there are more exciting and niche-y boxes out there that I would like and just don't know about! I got Forest Nui Cobalt's Crone's Crate for a while, and tried the Magickal Folk witch boxes for a bit as well. Coffee or Tea? Anything from David's Tea(esp the new Halloween) that catches your eye? I love coffee. I drink tea less regularly, and usually for magical or health purposes. What are your DISO BPAL dreams? Goodness! I'd love to try Touched Twice. 10/12/18 Spooky stuff! D'ya like... ghosts? Skeletons? Aliens? Bigfoot? Unsolved mysteries? ALL the spoopy things!!! I am still a bit of a UFO/unsolved mystery/cryptozoology fanatic! I love love love it! I WANT TO BELIEVE. Is there anything from the Lush christmas line that was just released that you're interested in? I haven't really looked! I really like several of Lush's items, but I rarely shop there or use anything from them anymore. I'm open if there's something you really love! I love their Buffy bars and sugar scrubs but have been trying to buy from smaller companies lately. Is there any scents from the more current releases you have been wanting to try (Weenies, Motherhood/Fatherhood)? I haven't tried any Weenies. I got in on a Lilith decant circle and LOVE The She-Goat and Meditation Buddy. I know there were several Weenies I wanted, too. How do you feel about buttons, pins, and badges? SO MANY!!! I have a denim jacket that I am covering in cool, witchy, nerdy, and political buttons, pins, and badges. I have a subscription to Laserbrain Patch Co already but always want more! 10/11/18 Are you witchy or like witchy things like incense, sage, palo santo, crystals, tarot, altar supplies, candles, etc.? Whatcha like/need? If you are my Witch, you have read my questionnaire and know the answer to this. ALL THE THINGS. Do you need decanting supplies? Sample vials? Pipettes? Standard labels?[ Sure-- to all. I have some pipettes but I need vials and labels and things. Can you link to your non forum wishlists/goodreads if you haven't already done so? I just updated the spreadsheet that Miss Twilighteyes has compiled so kindly for us. If you're a yarn user, what kinds of yarn do you like best? I don't yarn, and I already have a lot. :/ 10/10/18 Let's get specific about this knitting thing! Do any of these items/styles appeal? I've numbered these so you can just reference numbers if you like! Spoiler The dragon cowl and asymmetrical wrap are really cute, and the pumpkin is cute too! I don't have a huge need for wrist warmers, hats, or gloves at this time, unless they're cool gothy witchy style since most of my winter wear is pretty muggle-ish. If your witch was able to obtain digital media that you could not access (TV, movies, books, etc.), is there anything you have been in search of for quite a while? If yes, what devices do you use to play such (i.e. Windows, Mac, etc.)? Not really? Is there anything you want from Japan? Some kind of food, cute stationary, fandom merch, maybe you collect lucky cats, anything! Disney and Marvel stuff that's not available here, maybe. I don't collect a lot of Japanese things anymore. Some things I've wanted to collect again are Aria, Battle Angel Alita, Disgaea, and Sailor Moon stuff. I used to have a ton but I sold it. 10/9/18 Are you interested in anything from Nerdlacquer? http://www.nerdlacquer.com/ I tend towards darker colors. A quick peruse through the main page, I like Hanna and Grootslang best. I also am in search of a dupe of BPTP's old Lady Macbeth, I *loved* that color. 10/8/18 Speaking of OOS/Discontinued - Are there any old favorites from no longer operating companies that you would like if either anyone had a stash OR could find a reasonable dupe? Nope, except maybe that nail polish I just mentioned. Booze, yea or nay? Favorite kinds? All sorts! I like anything. Beer, liquors, wines, meads, etc. Knitted stuff? Need/want anything specific? Colors? Not really but I'm open Feelings re: Lewis Carroll/Alice in Wonderland? Love it, hate it, meh it? Meh with a side of nope. Are you thinking of participating in NaNoWriMo this year? Any merch or pre-Nano supplies you might want? I used to do it yearly but haven't had time in like a decade, lol! I just recently discovered MoonMagic -jewelry with a focus on moonstones but also opals and labradorite. They currently have a sale. Anything that stands out to you? (moonmagic.com) I love moonstones, but these styles are a little too shiny for me. Not really my style. Do you like quirky socks? Any preferred styles (ankle, thigh-high..)? Yay! I love tall socks but have kinda chunky legs. That being said, any length is good, I love nerdy socks. 10/7/18 Would you like a postcard from the fancy schmantsy St Pancras Renaissance hotel that I'm about to stay in several times over the next month? (Witches, I'll happily send one to your witchee if they would like it) Nah, I have too many miscellaneous BPAL postcards that I need to put in frames already I'd love postcards or cards from my Witch, but I don't collect destination postcards or anything. Does anything catch your eye from Future Primitive, including oos things? Again, I'm a pain in the butt because while I'm open to it, I don't have anything from here that I've been pining for. But I do love SW for showing me all these things I never knew about!

9/26/17 Weenies? - As always, I am open to trying anything because I suck at picking things out! But if I were to pick, these ones all sound nice: All Souls 2017 Dead Leaves, Tuscan Leather, White Amber, and Mimosa Blossom Apple Butter Rum Dirge Hallow-e’en, 1914 In a Whispering Gallery La Calavera Catrina Samhain 2017 Chiroptophobia Dead Leaves, Bourbon, Black Cherry, and an Orange Twist Pumpkin Spice Perversion Graveyard Dirt Groan of Mortal Terror The Dreadful Silence of that Old House What are your top three most wanted DC'd or previous LE BPALs? - Katrina Van Tassel, Hellhound on my Trail, Quincy Morris of course..., any of the Last Unicorn set especially Touched Twice What are some things you do NOT want to receive? - Um... first born children? Snot? Trump-supporting propaganda? 9/25/17 Anyone like/want calendars or dayplanners? - I am a planner addict! I like for my calendars to have moon phases. Dayplanners I prefer month view to week/day view. If you like stationery, do you like plain, colors, images, or specific DON'T LIKES? - I love stationery! No dislikes I can think of. I love fancy pens and beautiful artwork/paper pads. What about general desk stuff like cool colored paperclips and post it pads? - Yes! Would anyone be interested in having any of Abigail Larson's artwork (either as a print or on something, like a pillow, blanket, or t-shirt)? https://society6.com/abigaillarson - Oh, she has beautiful work!! A tote, mug, or phone case would be cool Does anything catch your eye from Ten Thousand Villages? http://www.tenthousandvillages.com/ - They have so much, I'm not sure where to look! I think this falls under the same category as the other similar website down in questions there; I have worked at World Market for so long, I'm kind of jaded on some of this style of "global" product. I like baskets, bags, purses, etc, but can be kinda finicky with the 'look' of it, if it looks too mass produced I'm less enthused by it. Would you be into receiving hand made (crocheted, sewn, felted, chain maille, scale, or duct tape, in my case, depending on the item) dishclothes? Scarf/shawl? Hat? Bag? Anything? Colors? (Duct tape, chain maille, and scales come in colors.) - Oh for sure! I would love more tiered/decorated triangle shawls. I like woven wall tapestries like by Rachel Esperanza of WitchWeave and also have some knitted dragon-scale arm warmers on my Etsy wishlist. Chainmaille items would be cool too given my RAMPANT love for Renaissance Faire Do you collect anything from SBUX like City Mugs, City Mug ornaments, City Cards, or Bearistas? If so, which do you need/want? Or would you like a City Mug or an ornament for fun? - Nope anybody want homemade fudge? I can do chocolate with or without nuts, peanut butter, and butterscotch. - Sure! I love peanut butter. do you like spicy foods? I am currently addicted to these suckers and want to send you some buffalo ridged kettle potato goodness (https://www.billygoa...shop/1lb-kicker) - Sure 9/24/17 Question: Is anyone interested in the new Resistance scents that the Lab just released (Take a Knee and SN: Flor de Maga)? - Yes! Is anyone here into zero waste, plastic free living, urban homesteading, or any simplicity/minimalism-esque lifestyles? If so, could you use any tools or equipment? At work, I sometimes get access to things like plastic free food containers, unpaper towels, beeswax food wrap, etc. for free. If that's something you could use (for your or your witchee), let me know. - No do you collect the art cards that BPAL sends out? Any in particular that you are looking for or definitely don't need? - I collect them but don't keep track of what I have or need. I think they're great fun and am going to eventually put them into one of those collage frames on the wall! Do you like this beautiful art, and she makes stickers and prints...SOOOO gorgeous: https://www.shannatr...om/paperprints/ - These are quite lovely! As I said in regards to fanart, I may not have much to do with prints yet since I don't have anywhere to hang them. I also really like She Paints With Blood, she is a local artist whose prints I'd love to collect! Favorite animals or wild creatures or mythological creatures? - Bats, cats, dogs, wolves, bees, unicorns, dragons would you like any swag from the Depeche Mode concert? (pins, posters, shirts, program, dunno what they'll have!) - Nah 9/23/17 Are you interested in anything from Bath & Bodyworks? Which products and scents do you like? www.bathandbodyworks.com/ - Nothing in particular. I am possibly going to a crystal / gem show tomorrow. I can't afford expensive gem stones, but... What kind of crystals would you like? - ALL THE GEMSTONES Pumpkin or Zucchini bread? - Either What kind of homemade cookies are your favorite? - Chewy and soft! I like snickerdoodles and peanut butter cookies, but chocolate chip ones are good too! Could you use a muscle rub? (We make ours on the lunar cycle and it has menthol, wintergreen, habanero, cayenne, olive oil, st. john's wort, arnica, beeswax, calendula, and ginger. It tingles. We call it "Thunder Butter". If you have really really super sensitive skin, I would recommend against it. And don't take a hot shower or open all of your pores before using it.) - Omg, always. Interested in trying some of our rose petal (rose petals, sugar, everclear) or lavender vanilla bean (lavender, vanilla bean, vodka) liqueur? - These all sound divine!!!! Want some honey from the bees on our property? - Yissss gimme the honey Would you like some homemade jam? I have blackberry, rose petal, strawberry rhubarb, peach, and cherry. - Ohh, rose, peach, and strawberry rhubarb all sound divine! How about some homemade candied jalapenos with garlic cloves? I have regular and with habanero. - Hmm, I probably wouldn't use these, I'm pretty traditional with my pepper use I didn't dry any apples this year but I was thinking of heading over to Green Bluff and seeing if any honeycrisps are left. I have a commercial dehydrator so let me know if you are interested in any "Apple Crips" (as voodoocatwoman calls them!) I wash, peel, core, and slice before dehydrating. - Yum! Do you need any kind of dice bag, tote, project bag, cosmetic bag, pencil bag, or whatever? I have lots of bag patterns and fabric. We make bags under the name Twinkle N Twilight. Or how about a couple of pillowcases? - Sure-- all of the above 9/22/17 Would my witchee like this to warm up the fall coffee cup?? https://www.truelemo...gory-s/1871.htm - Sure! Cider is tasty. do you like to take baths? if so, do you like oils, salts, things that fizz, all of the above, none of the above? - Yes, all! What style/make/etc of phone do you have? What about size of tablet? Laptop? Would you like decals, skins, or cases for any of these? - I have a Galaxy S7 and an ACER 11.5" Chromebook! I can always use phone cases and I have my laptop covered in decals of all my nerdy fandoms-- so little stickers and decals will find a home there! 9/21/17 So, question: Are any witchees into coloring books? - Yes~! I have so many coloring books but hardly ever color, but I love how pretty they are and sometimes they make really cool fandom ones as well. I have a few of Johanna Banford ones and I think they're beautiful and fun. Maybe someday I'll make more time to use them, it's very therapeutic! See's Candy. My absolute favorite. They have special Halloween candy..any of these pique your interest?? Cinnamon Apple Scotch Mallows, Pumpkin spice truffles, pumpkinspice lollypops, caramel apple lollypops, or any other of their chocolates, etc? - Everything looks delicious! I love orange, apple, and salted caramel candies the best. 9/20 I'm going to Edmonton Expo this weekend (It's Edmonton's version of comic con). Would a witchee like anything from there? - Business as usual, here, any fandom stuff is great! Licensed OR fan stuff since I love supporting artists, but I prefer items I can use-- like pencil boards or book marks-- to just fanart prints, which I wouldn't have anywhere to put and look at. Anything catch your eye from this site (globalgirlfriend.com)? - What a great cause!! I love the copper bracelet and triangle earrings, batik leggings (I'd be a size M-L for most leggings) and the rings. Some of the little baskets and bowls are cool too but after working at World Market they are kinda similar to what I've worked with for over a decade! Do you like Broadway shows/music? If so what are some of your favorites and/or ones that you hope to see or listen to eventually? Would you like merch from your favorite shows or CDs from shows you want to listen to? - I love musicals but haven't been able to see many in person! I really like the soundtracks from the Broadway Lion King,Phantom of the Opera, Rent, and Wicked; I was a big fan of Cats as a kid, haha! I don't know that there's anything merch-wise that I'd want, but I don't have any CDs (actually at all, even though I have a CD player in my car, lol) so that would maybe be an idea (or even burned CDs with sing-along music!) I'm heading to NYCC in October! Is there anything I can get my Witchee while I'm there? - Other than "everything"? Aprons: Do you wear them, do you want one? Utility, decorative, cooking or crafting? - Not really If you could decorate your house (or one room) in any one theme, what would it be? Your answer can be as simple ("Star Wars" or "Baroque" or "Modern"), or complicated or a combination (e.g. Victorian Gothic) as you feel best fits. - I typically have country/rustic chic decor in my main living areas. When I had a crafting area I decorated it with lots of earthy/natural/fairy/fantasy style decor, it was my favorite place in the house but I currently don't have access to it since my boyfriend moved in and now it's half taken up by his kids' room. Someday I'll have a fun pretty area to decorate again. I'd like to get some cool gothic and witchy style cabinets and boxes for my altar area when I get a space again. Do you have something you wish you put on your original questionnaire/forgot to put/would like to add on to? - I didn't list anything for wishlists for BPTP aside from everything, but for the record I am a L in their shirts (M in beloved tissue tees) and love them. I already own Bitches Love Unicorns, Live Deliciously, and a few other older designs from the grab bags, but kind of like collecting them. I've also been lusting for a pair of yoga pants (I love the Belladonna one). - In other clothing news, because I'm currently shopping for clothes online and am thinking about it, I am a M-L in leggings and have been really into leggings and tunics this year. 9/19/17 Are you interested in anything from Think Geek? - I love that site! I don't do a ton of shopping/browsing on there but I'm a sucker for all things nerdy. 9/18/17 Would you be open to previously-loved books? - Yes! I have no problem with books with obvious wear. What about partial-full bottles of BPAL or BPTP? - Love em! I like to try out lots of things and don't mind if it's not full, or decanted. So what are your favorite fandoms? - No order: Harry Potter, Marvel, Disney, Hunger Games, Firefly, Stranger Things, Star Trek, My Little Pony Socks: Do you wear them? - Yes! Any particular style (crew length, knee high, anklet, boot, etc.) or fiber (wool, cotton, bamboo anything but wool, etc.) preference? - Not really. I tend to wear really goofy socks. My job requires a work shoe at all times so I wear socks summer and winter there, and usually get ones with fun or goofy logos and patterns on them so I have a little secret in my shoe. <3 Work socks are usually crew, but I also wear knee high, ankle, and those ballerina-flat style ones. I like fuzzy warm ones in winter, and nerdy themed ones! 9/17/17 I'm in France at the moment, is there anything here you might like? I'm in Provence, the land of lavender, so if you like that flower in particular just say so! -Oh, I'd love lavender for spellwork. I don't use it much for cooking! But if you find thyme, oregano, provencal herbs, etc, I'd be down for all those for cooking! Are you into divination? What kind(s) do you currently do? Do you want more books and/or tools for that type (e.g. new tarot cards, new runes)? Is there a new type of #divination you've been meaning to try, and if so, are you looking for the tool, a book on the subject, or both? - Yes yes yes! I read runes and use a pendulum. I have a book on runic palmistry that I find fascinating and would love more palm reading material. I also have been interested in 'witches runes/staves' (they're not Nordic runes, I see them often and I'm not sure if they're an actual system or an arbitrary symbol set) and oracle pins. I also own the Earthbound Oracle. In Tarot I'm less versed but trying to learn it! I currently have The Illest Tarot and The Fountain Tarot. Although I am getting a bit of a "gotta catch em all" with Tarot, I don't have any specific sets on my wishlist. **Edit** except the TrueBlack Tarot kickstarter which is too expensive for a Witch gift but if you like Tarot, my Witch, go look at it!! Would my Witchee be interested in a Tarot or Astrology reading done personally? - Yes!! Either would be nice. I'm especially into astrology/natal chart reading, though. Does my Witchee need any magical supplies? -Allllllll of them. Seriously, even if I have it, I need moar. All the magic things! Anything involved with the goddesses Hekate, Brigid, Morrigan, Freyja, or Odin, Coyote, Loki, or even general ones. I am into hoodoo and rootwork, and am a gem fanatic. I'm working on amping up my herb collection. Any magickal teas, candles, etc. I love Nui Cobalt's candles and need all of them. I should still have a lot of TALs on my etsy wishlist (jennevieve59). Would you be interested in any of the seasonal (or regular) soaps from Cellar Door (https://cellardoorbathsupply.com)? -Witch, I'm sure you've realized by now that I'm aggravatingly amiable. "Yes! But I've never tried it so I'd like anything!" lol, sorry, My Witch. <3 (for no reason I switched here between questions in bold and answers in plain, to vice versa. Sorry, I'm just dumb...) 9/16/17 How do you feel about chokers? I am really into chokers this year! I've been wearing multiple-- and multiple necklaces-- in tandem together. Necklaces are this years' stacking rings for me This has also sort of been mentioned but what are your favorite homemade treats? Popcorn balls? Candy apples? Pumpkin Cheesecake? Oh nomm! Caramels and fudge, probably. <3 But candy (caramel) apples too! Favorite gemstones? So many! Labradorite, hematite, tiger eye, moonstone, sunstone, citrine, druzy, turquoise, garnet... the list goes on! If you enjoy jewelry do you like discrete and elegant, flashy and gaudy, small and light, or large and chunky? I wear both, but most of my pieces are larger. Any love of pirates or SCA? Oh yes!! Both, I am an avid Renaissance Fair attendee and costumer <3 Is there anything you would like from Disney World? EVERYTHING Are you a Potterhead? If so, to which house do you belong? Die-hard Potterhead! I'm a Slytherin (Pukwudgie in Ilvermorny) 9/15/17 Would you like some Halloween or other themed decor in the form of a banner, something like this http://www.etsy.com/...n-decor-vintage? If so, would you prefer a traditional style or a vertical door type? Those are SUPER cute!! I would love any style! I love Ween decor! Do you live near a Trader Joe's? If not, are you interested in trying any of the numerous Pumpkin goodies they come out with this time every year? I live somewhat close to one, but have never been! Do you like to cook and/or bake? Could you use any specific ingredients (spices, oils, salts, extracts, etc.) or kitchen utensils/gadgets? I cook and love fancy spices, oils, salts, etc. I don't need any more kitchen gadgets or utensils, unless they're too cute to pass up (I'm a kitchen-stuff-hoarder.) I'm at Ocean City MD for bike week......would a witches want anything from here? Bike or beach related?? No What is 1 thing you would love to see in your final box? Can be ANYTHING - your choice. I love the surprise, there's not anything specific that I'd love. I'm sure I'll love whatever I get! Who would love some USPS eclipse stamps? Oooo that'd be neat! I rarely use stamps, though 9/14/17 Do any of you potential Witchees have any kitties, puppers, or youngling humans you want spoiled in your packages? What treats or toys do they like? Yes! I have dogs and cats. The dogs prefer treats to toys because their favorite game is "sleep on mama," but the kitty loves toys, lasers, and catnip. Is there any interest in any of the fragrance oils from the Nocturne Alchemy Weenies update? I don't follow most other perfume brands, so this would fall under the same category as other scents; I love to try new things and might find an unexpected favorite! Is there anything you want from the trading post (or trading post etsy) that is available to order right now? (Fatherhood, Puppers, normal GC things) Oh I love anything BPTP! Here's some picks from the new releases: Fatherhood: My Little Themysciran Princess / Spinning on Graves / Zip Line Puppers: Ella / Lola / Pa-Pow / Pickle 9/13/17 Are you a gamer? If so, what games are you currently playing and is there any merch for that game you'd love to have?- If you are a gamer do you have a steam/gamestop/amazon wishlist? No, I have some old game consoles but don't play much How do you feel about the following scarf options (assuming you're into scarves)? Simple eyelet scarf Chevron scarf Lacy and fuzzy Skinny rib knit (extra long for lots of wrapping) Leafy! Oh the chevron and leafy ones are lovely! Like beer? What styles most appeal to you? I'm a beer fan-- I like all styles, and if I don't like them, I like to try them! I usually prefer fruity and wheat beers. Like booze? What kinds? Any, though I don't like mint, cinnamon, or licorice flavors very much Like Wine? What kinds? All Would you be interested in a set of hand-made hair falls? It's something I do for fun and I can make any length and do an array of colors! I don't know if I'm smart enough to use them? Hahaha My hair is so short right now it's probably not something I would use. For those who watch certain movies every year for Halloween, what are those movies, whether horror or not? Any favorite horror movies that aren't necessarily on the annual-viewing list? How do you feel about fan-made merch for these movies? Hocus Pocus, The Witches, The Worst Witch, Practical Magic, the Craft, Rocky Horror Picture Show... well, I watch these all the time, but they're Halloweenie. I love fan made merch for any fandom/nerd stuff! I like horror movies but don't watch them often. 9/12/17 Here's a great local soapmaker I love--y'all see anything you would like? https://littleseedfarm.com/ That all looks lovely! What are your favorite/preferred Halloween/autumn icons/images? Any to specifically stay away from? Well I'm a big fan of witches, pumpkins, fall leaves, spiders, and gothic elegant things Do you eat candy, and if so would Halloween candy be welcome? Specialty candy from local or unusual sources? Chocolate? Any! I don't eat a lot of candy but I like chocolate, and salted caramel; anything else I can gift to my family/friends Do you want Fidget spinners, desk toys, or other frivolous things that you look at and decide you don't need enough to spend $ on but would make you happy to have? Not really Any zentangle lovers, people who would like to try it, or would you want a piece of someone else's zentangle art? I don't know what that is Any love of hair toys, clips, ribbons, fascinators, mini hats, etc? Sure! What local goodies may be of interest? Local Honey, jams, candy? I love small business/local items like that, from anywhere! Are you interested in any prescription services like serial magazines, Birch box, ipsy? Would you like funky Halloweenie costume makeup like Gothic eyelashes, nail effects, black lipstick, etc.? Sure! How do you like to listen to music? CD, 8 track tape, mix tape, Pandora or Spotify, I-tunes? Pandora or CD Do you prefer reading on Kindle or actual book? What kind of books do you like? Would you like to receive a wax tarts burner, incense burner, essential oils diffuser, or Halloweenie themed candle holders? Yes! No favorites other than obviously BPAL/BPTP. I don't currently own a wax burner. Witchee: are you interested in crafting materials? Ohhhhh yissss. Haha! Please recommend powdery blends

I'll agree that powder depends on your skin chemistry; amber and sandalwood in certain forms do fine on me, while others powder up really badly. (I can't stand it! ) I remember Death Embracing a Young Maiden from the Weenie's this year went really super OMG powdery on me; otherwise my obvious recommendation would be The Gladdener of All Hearts, because it's *meant* to be baby-powder-y.

How do you apply your BPAL oils?

My neck lasts the longest also. I always attributed it to the fact that it's kind of hooded by my hair, which maybe keeps the scent locked in. Obviously isn't true if ya'll have shorter hair, of course, so there goes my theory! I figured that the backs of my hands fades so fast because I work with my hands a lot at work, so I'm always rubbing on things and also washing my hands a lot. (Though the back of my wrists, where I apply scent, usually is missed by normal hand-washing.)

Is There a Lavender Dominant Atmosphere Spray?

I've got to throw in my vote for Erebos. I hate lavender normally, but I adore Erebos, so I think it's good for both sides of the fence. I always knew/heard that lavender was good for sleep, but just don't like the smell of it... but Erebos is, to me, also mostly vanilla and lavender but in a way that I can definitely stand and I think it's great for sleep! I guess the other florals must be what lend it the silky, smooth, soft scent that I love on my pillows. (TBH, I got it as a freebie from the Post and have never actually read the ingredients list for it, so I have no idea what the notes are *meant* to be.) In any case, I definitely don't get rose from it; just soft, comforting vanilla and lavender.... I've also powered through it much faster than any of my other sprays (with Fae Forest being a close second! ) Whether you love lavender or hate it, I could pretty much guarantee you'll love Erebos!

    Autumn Cider

Bottle: A delicious, butterscotchy cider. It reminds me of a super-spiced Caramel Apple Cider from Starbucks. As far as cider scents go (I was expecting Fearful Pleasure or Lambs-Wool) this is much sweeter; the orange slices and butterscotch lend a lot more to this than I expected! Wet: It softens into almost pure apple *juice* with sugar/butterscotch and sour lemon. There's something strange in here; it's sour, but more than just the lemon: I think I'm picking up the fermentation like some other reviewers!! This isn't as warm or cider-y on as I wanted it to be; it's like a sharp, mulled wine liquid mix... A little bit of orange is peeking through which is nice. Also, the cinnamon in this burns like a mo! Dry: Yep. Cinnamon, Orange Hawaiian Punch with some mulling spices. The cinnamon is still burning (which NEVER happens to me! Please stop, Autumn Cider!) and a lot of the original clear notes have kind of blended together. Verdict: I adore cider scents and would keep this regardless, but it's *not* Fearful Pleasure or Lambs-Wool incarnate as I'd wanted. If only I could get my hands on a bottle of each of those, I'd have a MARVELOUSLY diverse cider collection! 3.5/5

The Glittering Apple Of The Stars

In Imp: Oh, the notes sound fabulous. I'm not sure what type of apple Malus is, but tiare, crystallized vanilla, and white musk are some srs win for me! *sniff* Mmmm, bright, effervescent, *glittering* scent with a well rounded soft bergamot finish. I'm excited, I really hope this does as good on skin! Wet: Mmmm, sweet yumminess. The apple fills out more on my skin. I can make out a brightness that I believe is tiare; a little bit of the sharpness of frangipani... and the musks in this are *marvelous*, soft sensual musks. Drydown: Yum. It's a little more traditional perfume once it's drying, but still a great, bright scent. Verdict: This is a delightful, bright, bubbly, energetic blend. I think this would be fabulous all year round. Damn, just when I thought I'd be getting away from the Weenies without much more bottle damage.... 3.5/5

    Death Embraces a Young Maiden

In Imp: Dark, woodsy baby powder. Wet: Baby powder baby powder wah. Apparently I only do *awesome* with *certain* sandalwoods.... it's always a toss up with them whether they'll be yummy and spicy-ish or .... baby powder, wah!! There still is some woodsy-ness. Like, freshly changed tree diapers. Wah. Drydown: I can smell a little tea rose, but.... burnt hair? Where'd that come from? Verdict: I don't know WHAT was in this that made my skin chemistry react SO much differently from everyone else, but the only "warm" thing about this scent was the salon-grade perm smell. Yikes. 0/5.

    Boo

In Imp: Creamy, sugary, vanilla-candy. It reminds me of the Vanilla tootsie rolls; creamy and yummy! Wet: The cream amps and the sugar actually fades a little when it's on. I'm getting pure warm sheets out of the dryer (not to be confused with dryer sheets, lol) with a cup of warmed sweet cream next to them. I'm almost getting a little plastic out of it this time, but I don't usually when I try this: I suspect that it's the lotion I've got on. Drydown: It stays fairly true to itself; sweet white sugar, cream, white cotton sheets (probably with two holes cut out for your eyes!) I really like this scent because it's soft, sweet, and unassuming; it's a "playful, soft feminine" scent for those of us who don't really do floral. Verdict: I may actually have to do a bottle of this this year. I don't know why I never did before?? 4/5

    The Green Apple Of Venus

In Imp: This has a really interesting blend of notes and it's hard to tell what it's going to smell like! Upon first whiff I get much more red berry/fruit and apple blossom than anything else (I kind of expected red sandalwood to kill this one immediately!) Only with a deep huff can I discern some green apple (it's not as bright green as in Verdandi, though) and violet *leaf* (more green than... well, violet. Violet. *coughahem* /willywonka). Wet: I get bright and crisp green apple with the roundness of real strawberry (this isn't a strawberry-candy) and the sharpness of pomegranate as it hits the skin. The florals in this make it into a very proper perfume with a little bit of apple playfulness, but I have to say this one is going a little soapy on me as well (a problem I've had with a few 'Weenies...) Drydown: Hmm. Honestly I'm only getting tea rose and red sandalwood (though it's a very very soft hint of red sandalwood; not overpowering or sharp as it is in more predominately "red" blends) with maybe a strawberry-pomegranate blend (not as pure or discernable as it was earlier.) It's nice, but has very little throw and very little of the apple I was hoping for. It's a good, rounded, warm scent that leans towards neither foody nor floral. Verdict: Good, but not bottle worthy. Sorry, apples.... maybe a 2.5/5.

The Golden Apple Of The Sun

In Imp: Whew! REALLY bright, perhaps slightly powdery GOLD APPLE. The soft and sweet kind. Though I can tell that this is definitely blended, the only note I can pick out is that golden apple; the other notes seem to be blended, mixed and hidden in the background and no amount of huffing can bring out one over the others. Wet: Ooh. I actually get a little ginger, but it's warm and not sharp or spicy (as someone previous mentioned). Maybe a little champaca or frankincense (I don't think I'm confident enough to tell them apart aside from a slight incense-y resinous note). It's pretty sweet and warm and yummy at this stage! Drydown: There's a little bit of my beloved golden amber. This is a truly golden scent. The incense and florals amp just a bit as it continues to dry. I'll let this sit a while and come back to it. Verdict: This faded really quickly on me and didn't really have a lot of throw or distinguishable scents after it dried. The golden apple was nice, but I think I prefer spiced apples or green apples to plain Yellow Delicious... <3 And while the ambers were good also, they weren't as effervescent as they sometimes are (when they're my favorite). I'll agree that this ended up, unfortunately, being a pretty light incense-y blend. I'll say it's 2.5/5. Not bad, but probably not something I'd reach for a lot and would therefore need a bottle. I'll keep it in the imp pile.

    Halloween: Las Vegas

In Bottle: I get red wine (and man is the wine a really true likeness here! Take a whiff next time you're sitting with a glass of Cabernet Franc and this is what you'll get) and white cake. Wet: The desert flowers start coming out; a very distinctive floral that I am familiar with having grown up in the desert. It's the sort of floral you find walking into a quaint Santa Fe gift shop. The wine and cake are still the dominant notes: and I love that this is a blend where you can sniff "for" something and get it very clearly. There's a little bit of extra booze peeking through, and I think I sense a little bit of the citrus and tea from Dorian. No Snake Oil yet, though. This is the kind of foody I can handle: enough interesting, dark and dirty notes to balance out the sweet cake. Drydown: Mmmmmm. A wine/foody scent I can love!! It's a sweet and spicy blend; the wine and the sugary cake both behave themselves and play very nicely with the other (brilliant) notes. I do also detect a hint of Dorian as it dries off (though never any Snake Oil!) Yum!! Verdict: Glad I got a bottle!! 4/5

What do bottles and labels look like?

Wow, I'm impressed they managed to fit the whole Beaver Moon ad onto the label and make it legible! It's so cute!

    The Red Rider

Leather, leather, leather. The same soft brown (red?) leather in my beloved Quincy Morris, or at least something very similar. When I apply this it goes through a phase where the balsam and moss lend a sharpness and underlying green quality, but it fades away pretty quickly and I'm left with the way this smells in the imp: almost singularly delicious leather. 3/5
