In the bottle: musty rose On the skin: soft rose tempered with bezoin. A slight fishiness that burns off fairly quickly. The orris does not play well with the rose. Nope. Not great for me. This lunacy has not been kind to me.

In the bottle: chilled clove On the skin: soft clove, something floral, the metallic aspect of blood without any warmth, and some comforting soft woods notes emerging as it dries down. This not something for me. ETA: the extreme drydown isn't too bad when the incense emerges.

In the bottle: This seems deceptively simple. I get coffee first off, a thread of very fine vetiver underneath and magnolia drifting on top. On the skin: quite subdued to begin with, I get anise quite strongly which may actually be the bay rum interacting with the coffee. This does shift and morph a lot. Every time I think it's not for me something interesting blooms. This seems almost gourmand. I think I like it but I'm really not sure. Odd. It is certainly not loud.

Rose Moon: Frankincense and Black Apple Pulp

In the bottle: Pure raw apple complete with bitter skin. On the skin: photorealistic apple. I don't specifically pick up on any frankincense. A great layering scent -
In the bottle: quite perfumey in a good way and I agree with @LavenderCoffee that it is gender neutral. Gorgeous in the bottle. On the skin: this does come across as quite wild and unfettered but very refined in it's presentation. "Silvered" is entirely appropriate as it's cool and slick. I get the mossines, the lily, the leather and the scent of pine forests. Very beautiful.

Rose Moon: White Rose Petals and Cream

In the bottle: Slightly sour rose On the skin: Initially as above and then powdery rose with a touch of fattiness behind it. Luckily it doesn't take long for the cream to smooth things out a bit. I was hoping for deep creaminess with an undercurrent of rose. This is more rose forward than I would like. I'll give it a go. -
In the bottle: Obvious Snake Oil with orris and a touch of sandalwood. It does smell cool. On the skin: There is a slight toasty/savoury note on the skin which I believe is the rice powder with the sandalwood. There’s almost a gingery note. Overall, an overlay of dry, thin top notes over snake oil. Will be interested to see where this leans after considerable aging. I'm on the fence with the fresh presentation. ETA: further into the drydown this becomes much more compelling.

I get soapy lemon and Snake Oil and that's pretty much it. Maybe a bit of coconut on the drydown. Pretty disappointing. For me. Maybe some aging will help

This is very patch forward but when the patchouli is this velvety and delicious who cares? I do pick out the nutmeg early and it's more nutmeg absolute rather than the essential oil. I don't get much from the plum until well into the drydown. Love this and need a backup to age.

Sweetish, very dry, slick cool and metallic. Surprisingly not as bold s expected - its a slow burn and so far hasn't amped up much. Overall, I really like it and am likely to have it on high rotation as we come out of winter.

That's jasmine alright. But is jasmine with all of the surrounding green and the earth it's rooted in. This almost smells like Lilium regale with the underlying spiciness. Where A Recurrent Spot was rich yellow-stained jasmine this is crisp white jasmine. Insanely gorgeous. Summer nights!

Bourbon Tobacco and Condensed Milk

I'm not sure how to describe this. I wouldn't immediately say tobacco or condensed milk but whatever it is it's very compelling on initial application. Definitely bold and "chewy". It is sweet though. The tobacco becomes more recognisable as it starts to dry down and it's a sweetly aromatic one. I get berryish tones at times. I like it very much. Autumn/winter for me -
In the bottle: very sweet carnation and red musk. On the skin: the Honeysuckle blooms nicely and has a greenish happiness to it. The red musk adds some spiciness and the leather makes an appearance early. I do get the comparisons to Mme Moriarty. The sandalwood is just around the edges but adding some backbone. Quite classic and wearable.

In the bottle: this smells incredible in the bottle. Lilac, spiced honey, teak, amber and cream are all there. On the skin: initially quite soft, the creamy lilac is front and centre, surprisingly fresh and sweet. The spiced honey is restrained and, as mentioned above, is more spice than honey - it is a lovely note which actually plays well with the lilac, supporting rather than muddying. The woody notes add refinement and the beeswax some warmth and body. Overall, close to the skin but astoundingly beautiful.
