    Wild Honeysuckle

The only thing I like about the arrival of summer each year is the honeysuckle. We have tons of it growing wild around my house, so every time I open the door, the smell hits me in the face and makes me happy. When this SN went live, I said, "HELL YES," and bought it immediately. This smells like opening the front door in early summer. It perfectly captures the scent of honeysuckle vines growing wild, draped over trees and bushes and climbing everywhere they can reach. It's medium throw on my skin -- I can smell it wafting up from my wrists as I type, but it's not overwhelming my office. The scent has lasted for several hours so far without disappearing. I abso-freakin'-lutely love it.

Delayed at Ingolstadt Air Field Atmosphere Spray

I love this atmo spray. Fresh, crisp, beautiful. It smells like violets in a thunderstorm, but not a thunderstorm in the muggy Southern summer, more like a thunderstorm high in the mountains on the brink of winter. I've had zero regrets about ordering this last year.

The search for the perfect Violet....

I absolutely love Sybaris for violets. I need to dig through my imp boxes to see what of these others I have to revisit.

    2013 Fall Swap

    1. Do you like fingerless mitts? Color? Length? Not really. My fingers are usually what's coldest, so if I'm wearing mittens or gloves, I want my fingers covered. I have someawesomely warm, flexible gloves that work with smartphone screens, too, so I don't really need anything new for my hands. 2. How 'bout scarves and hats? Plain or fancy? Lacey? Color/width/length? I do, however, LOVE scarves and hats. Plain works fine. If there's a fringe, I like fringe better on scarves than on hats. Unsure about lacey. I kinda like the look of infinity scarves, but I haven't tried wearing one myself, so I don't know how they'd do for me. Colors: I usually prefer jewel tones, but honestly, just about anything except neon shades of any color. I like blues, purples, greens, reds, earth tones, darker oranges, warm yellows, rosy pinks...as long as it doesn't glow in the dark, I'll probably love it. 3. Can you wear (very soft, fine) wool? Do you prefer not to (for whatever reason)? As far as I know, I can wear wool, but I can't remember if I actually HAVE worn wool in anything before (surely I have...), so I'm a little uncertain. But soft, fine wool sounds just fine, and I'd happily try it on and hope for the best. 4. Top three favorite hot beverages? Be as specific as you like (ie not all hot cocoas are created equal!) Spicy hot chocolate is the best hot beverage ever. Spicy as in cinnamon, not chili peppers. When all I have is Swiss Miss, I'll sprinkle in some of our good cinnamon. That makes it so much better. I like the individual serving packets of (can't remember the brand!) hot cocoa, too, and usually get chocolate caramel or mint chocolate from those. I've tried making cocoa from scratch and just can't make it taste good (yes, I'm pitiful like that ). I also drink coffee and have a Keurig. I don't expect you to send a box of K-cups, though, so if you do something coffee-related, maybe a non-refrigerated seasonally flavored creamer or syrup to go in it? Or a gift card for a coffee shop. I like chai tea lattes. I'm not crazy about tea in general, but I like the spices of chai. 5. Tell me about one thing you have trouble finding for your favorite fall holiday. Uhhhh. I don't know. Affordable decorations? Most of what I see are way more expensive than I'm willing to pay, especially since when I do break down and buy them anyway, they break during the first season of use. When I pulled out my Halloween stuff this year, I realized that I hardly have anything I can really use. Most of what I have left are fragile candle holders that I don't want sitting around with two crazy kids throwing balls and blocks all over the house. Glass pendants: I don't wear much jewelry, and I tend to be rough on what I do wear. A glass pendant would be treasured but rarely worn for fear of breaking it. Any fandoms or favourite shows/movies (even if you're not overly-obsessed)? Stargate SG1, Doctor Who, Firefly, Teen Titans, Full Metal Alchemist, The Avengers, Harry Potter (go Ravenclaw!), The Big Bang Theory, Eureka, Jane Eyre (Charlotte Gainsborough version is favorite, others are acceptable), Scooby Doo Religious? I've grown up in the Presbyterian Church, so I do consider myself Christian, but it doesn't affect stuff I collect beyond the point of no "I heart Satan" types of things. Commercial candy? Commercial treats? Snickers, anything with chocolate & peanut butter, Almond Joy, Newman's Own Organics mocha milk chocolate bars, Sconza Lemoncello Almonds, Brookside Dark Chocolate Pomegranate Wishlists? Linked in my signature. The top post of my wishlist blog has links to my Amazon and Think Geek wishlists. Booze? BOOZE ME UP, SCOTTY. I mean, that'd be lovely, thank you. Candles? Love 'em, but I tend not to burn them often because my kids are very devious about using long-sticked cleaning tools to reach way up high and knock stuff over. Tarts/wax melts are safer and get used more often. I don't particularly care if it's full beeswax, soy, whatever. I tend to prefer more foody stuff for home scents. Random scent preference note: I forgot to include honeysuckle in my ?aire. LOVE the smell of honeysuckle. It's not really seasonally appropriate, but I though I'd mention it just in case. Jewelry: no earrings. Bracelets would be OK. I'm most likely to wear a necklace. Silver/white gold is strongly preferred, although bronze can be beautiful as well. I mainly just don't wear yellow gold. Pictures for my wall: I have pictures, paintings, and photographs galore stuffed in a closet that I've been wanting to hang up since we moved into this house. That was SIX YEARS AGO. So as much as I'd love a photograph from you, it probably won't get displayed in my house for at least another six years. Speaking of - hey, Pumpkin, how do you feel about books? Is there any book, series, or genre that you've been reading lately? LOVE BOOKS. I'm currently reading the second in the Rai-Kirah trilogy by Carol Berg. I usually read fantasy, especially urban fantasy/paranormal, but I also like science fiction and...umm...well, other varieties of fantasy, such as historical fantasy/alternate timeline "what if this had happened like this instead" type books. I also greatly love cookbooks, so something with Halloween recipes or pumpkin recipes would be lovely and suitable. Not just do you like/want books, but oh Punkin, do you have an e-reader/would you like e-books? I have a Kindle and frequently use it or the Kindle app on my phone to read e-books. E-books are usually easier for me to deal with than physical books, so I slightly prefer them, but I'd be delighted with a physical book, too. Would you like spooky/thematic books? Sure! Favorite tree?! Leaf shape! I love birch trees. No particular favorite leaf shape. Do you garden? No. I kill all living things that can't make noise to remind me to feed/water them. Hey, Pumpkin - the days are cooling off, do you have a preference for tea/cocoa/arm-warmers/candles? Cocoa over tea for sure, candles or tarts would be fabulous, indifferent to arm-warmers. How do you feel about bath products such as soaps, scrubs, shower gels, lotions, etc.? Any preferences (bar soap over liquid soap or shower gels; sugar scrubs over salt scrubs, etc.)? Anything you're trying to avoid? I love bar soaps that aren't Dial, Irish Spring, etc. I like shower gels. I have quite a bit of both bar soaps and shower gels that I'm trying to work through, but I DEFINITELY wouldn't say no to getting more! I love sugar scrubs, especially Wylde Ivy's. It's been a long time since I've tried Villainess, but I don't remember loving whatever ones I tried. Bath & Body Works's sugar scrubs are way too oily. That's about all I can think of sugar scrub-wise to give you an idea of what I like texture-wise. Salt scrubs are okay, and coffee scrubs are not good in my bathtub's drain. As for lotions, I tend to prefer rich, thick body creams over thinner lotions, but if it moisturizes well I'll try it. I have pretty dry skin that is already getting worse with the cooler weather, so lotion (HAND CREAM!) is good. Socks: My calves don't like tall socks, as much as I wish they would. I usually wear ankle height but would be happy with other heights, just, y'know, not up to or past my knees unless they're specially made for big calves. Other than that, anything goes. I like my socks in all colors, patterns, levels of fuzziness, and fabrics. I like toe socks and regular socks. I like solid color socks, and I like polka dot socks with words on them, and I like character design socks, and I like...well. Pretty much, I like socks. What's your Fall holiday decorating/accessories style? Cute little ghosties, baby witches, and happy faced pumpkins? Natural, with cornucopias and arrangements of gourds, pumpkins, corn, etc.? Sort of rustic or country? Classic bats and ghosts and skeletons and monsters? Total kitsch? Blood and gore and prop dismembered limbs? I seem to go cutesy more than scary. No blood or gore, please. Not terribly interested in cornucopias, but gourds and fall leaves are certainly nice enough and can usually stay out all autumn instead of being put away immediately following Halloween. Rustic or country decorations are just fine. Currently I have a bunch of ceramic jack-o-lanterns with varying facial expressions, some cute witches and black cats, some cute witchy boots that are supposed to hold long candle tapers, some wooden witchy signs outside, and some window clings featuring classic Halloween bats, cats, and ghosts, and Scooby Doo window clings. You know what I'd love? Some cutesy owl stuff. Every time I go shopping, I see more and more adorable owl stuff, and the Halloween owls I've seen are so freaking cute it kills me. I just haven't bought any of them yet. I need to start an owl collection. Would an owly thing count as the leaf item, what with owls perching in trees where there just happen to be leaves...?

My new job is at a consignment store where we have all kinds of designer brands for very reasonable prices. Are there designer clothes/purses/sunglasses that you desire/love? (Give some indication as to your "style" as well. For example, do you like bohemian-style frocks in lavender? Crossbody purses in black? Sunglasses that are round and bug-like?) Indifferent to designer brands. I could always use some new sunglasses since I'm constantly losing/scratching mine. I usually wear oversized sunglasses, but not quite the perfectly round, bug-like ones. In the meantime, let me know what you like to do on the Internet to kill time. Flash games? What are your daily websites/blog visits, or favorite YouTube videos? I don't really play games online or watch videos. I do visit Something Positive, The Bloggess, STFU Parents, Passive Aggressive Notes, Delilah S. Dawson, Filing Jointly...Finally, Day of the Shirt, and of course this forum. And what are your favourite characters from your fandoms? Doctor Who: Ten & Eleven, Amy & Rory (esp. Rory), Donna, Rose's dad, Jack Harkness. Stargate SG1: Daniel Jackson, Jack, Sam, Teal'c, Walter. Firefly: Mal, Kaylee, River, Wash. My Little Pony... Cute or meh? Meh. Lip balm - tube or tin? Either. Would you like to receive a journal or sketchbook? How about other pretty paper goods like post-its, notepads, bookmarks, letter paper/envelopes? No journals or sketchbooks for me, although coloring books for my kids wouldn't go unloved. Post-its and bookmarks would be nice. Are you interested in audiobooks? If so, any specific titles? Not really. I have trouble absorbing solely auditory information and prefer to read myself. Bar soaps with some scrubby bits, yes or no? Yes, yes, yes! Do you need any small electronic gadgets like flash drives and the like? I could always use a spare flash drive, but it's not a dire necessity. Would you like a pair of knitted socks? Maybe? If they're comfy and easy to wash. Do you have any use for knitted dishcloths, facecloths, etc, especially if they were fandom related? Maybe, especially if easy to wash. Do you subscribe to any sample boxes, and if so, which ones? Would you like to receive some samples? I don't subscribe to any. I probably wouldn't use moisturizer or makeup samples. Soap and perfume samples would be delighted over, though. do you have a problem with nudes??? If not, do you prefer male or female? Not really crazy about nudes with my 3 year old son being very curious about the human body. Paintbox Soapworks: Interested in anything from her? Haven't tried anything from her, but definitely willing to try anything. are there any other e-tailers you're desperately wanting to try? if so, any specific items/scents/etc? ThinkGeek: anything interesting to you on there? There's a link to my Think Geek wishlist in my wishlist blog. What's one thing you want, right now, that you're having difficulty finding? Flattering skirts that aren't 3 sizes too big like all my other skirts. Otherwise, I can't think of anything. Who here is going to be picking up JK Rowling's new book on Thursday? Hadn't realized she was writing a new one. It doesn't sound like something I'd normally read. What do you do to take care of yourself when you're having a rough day (sick, life not going your way, whatever)? Eat comfort food, read, hide from my kids as much as possible. If it's really bad, I'll take a hot bath when the kids are in bed and leave the baby monitor with my husband. When I'm sick, I drink hot lemon honey water and eat chicken noodle soup with Ritz crackers. favorite and least favorite baked goods? I'm probably going to like most baked goods. I can't think of any I specifically don't like. what size T-Shirt do you wear (standard AND babydoll)? standard XL. Not sure about babydoll since all the websites I'd order them don't seem to offer them big enough. Standard is fine, though. I found a fantastic little shop while traveling that had unusual jellies and jams. Would you be interested in trying something like Georgia Moonshine Jelly or TOE Jam (each letter stands for some kind of fruit, I don't remember which ones) or something similar? How about homemade jam in general? Sure to all of this! I love trying new jams and jellies! Would you be interested in homemade herbal remedies and tinctures? Probably not. Do any of Villainness' Soap Box exclusive scents interest you, especially any of the Smooches/Whippeds? Xia in any product, Jack O. in soap or smooch, Lehua soap or body conditioner, Proserpina in any product, Sol Bacio in any product. Puddin' just put a shitton of old Lunacy shirts on the BPTP Etsy! Any ones interest you? Not really. I've been around long enough that I have the ones I wanted. Witchee, do you want anything from the Haunt update coming up on 10/3? I know it might be too early to say, but if you could look at the preview on the night of 10/2 and let me know if you want anything... Haven't tried anything from Haunt, so I don't know.

Are you a gamer (of any sort - video, casual, tabletop) and are there any games you want? Not really a gamer. I have a couple board games (like Clue) but never have anyone to play with. Would you be interested in BPTP CANDY? Umm...haven't heard about this. Probably not. Unless it's just really good. Do you like coffee? If so, what kinds? Flavored, fancy, basic? Beans or ground? Yes. I have a Keurig, and my regular drink at home is a cup of blueberry flavored coffee with butter pecan creamer. At coffee shops, I like white chocolate mochas, Mayan mochas, lattes with vanilla and/or caramel, and pumpkin spice lattes. Would a Starbucks gift card make you happy or do you prefer your local place? I'd happily spend a Starbucks gift card, but I do usually visit the Hard Back Cafe at the local Hastings. I think they offer gift cards, too. CUSTOM-Made Pottery?? yea or nay? coffee mugs, rustic or more elegant? a set of bowls? soap dish? bird feeder? something alltogether different? and lastly, good colors for glazes...? POTTERY! I like pottery. Soap dish would be lovely, and I'd love more coffee mugs. Colors: earth tones, deep blues, black/white/red combos. Do you have a forum buddy? Someone who knows you and/or your tastes well enough to answer questions on your behalf? Sadly, not that I can think of. I'm friendly with some forumites but don't think anyone knows me well enough to answer for me. If you are on Livejournal, would you appreciate LJ stuff like paid time, custom userheads, stuff like that? If you are NOT on LJ but are on other sites that have similar paid-for services (Flickr, for example?) would you, and what are those sites/etc? I am on LJ, but I rarely look at it anymore, so paid time would be wasted on me. Same with Flickr. I can't think of any other sites where paid time would be used. A question, witchees: if you are into tarot, what is your favorite card? not applicable And another question: would you like your own set of handmade rune stones or worry stones? Rune stones, probably not. Worry stones, probably yes. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cider, or none of the above? Coffee, hot chocolate, and cider. Not so much tea. Gum, hard candy, soft candy, or none of the above? Soft candy. Gum makes my jaws ache, and hard candy kills my teeth, and I can't afford a root canal right now. Loose tea or tea bags? Do you need anything for your loose tea? (Filters, presses, etc.) not applicable If you like tea, what kinds? not applicable Do you do Goodreads or LibraryThing or a site like that? If so, can I see your to-read list, please? I'm on Goodreads, same username as almost everything else. It should be public to view. Zombies; Yay or Nay? Nay If you have cats, do they like catnip toys? If you have doggies, would they like a super-reinforced canvas toy with a squeaker in it? Yes & yes If you have kids, what are they into? Scooby Doo, rock crawling trucks (basically the toy monster trucks), Curious George, Cars (he loves Mater & Finn McMissile most), Little Critter books, monster stuff (Monsters Inc, Monster House, The Monster at the End of this Book, etc) How do you feel about wearable knitted lace? Shawls, wraps, and the like? I'm not sure. Wraps or shawls probably wouldn't get worn. Looking at the warehouse, I notice that our lovely Greenwoodtree is able to do chart readings and/or forecasts at a very reasonable rate. Is this something you would want? No, thanks. I live in Japan. Anything you would be interested in from there? We once hosted an exchange student from Japan who gifted us with all sorts of Japanese seasoning packets to add to rice. THEY WERE AWESOME. But I have no clue what they were actually called. I'd still love to try anything seasoning-wise, or maybe chopsticks, or non-fragile artwork of some kind. Candy Corn: yes, no? No. WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH YOUR ASS OFF!!! movies, comedians, black humor, your partner, a comic strip? what? Snarky humor. My friends from college. Cleolinda Jones's Movies in 15 Minutes. You are meeting up with someone on a casual lunch/early afternoon thing. This person is someone you want to impress/look good for (for whatever reason, not necessarily romantic, and not necessarily for business either). What would you look like, given the contents of your wardrobe/etc? Jeans, my brown ankle boots, a violet top, and a good bra instead of the worn out nursing bras I'm normally stuck in. Also my wedding ring & my new favorite necklace from Elements & Artifacts. You are to be let loose in a clothing store of your choice, to pick a full outfit, down to the shoes, the accessories, etc. and things would be altered to fit you if needed. What store would that be, and what would you look like? JC Penney, and I'd probably look as described in the previous question. I could use some new jeans or trousers and a new top. I like most of the Liz Claiborne clothing at this store. You open a box from the post office to reveal the 3 things you want most right now. What are they? (caveats: size doesn't matter, but they have to be tangible/buyable). A physical copy of C.E. Murphy's Spirit Dances (because my bookshelf looks wrong without it), refills for my ped egg, and curtains for my daughter's room. The end of this month I'm going to Scarefest, the big horror and paranormal con in Kentucky. (www.scarefest.com) If I were your witch, is there anything you would like from there (skull jewelry, art prints from an artist that catch your eye, etc), or anyone whose autograph or photo or such you would dig? Not really, but thanks. What is your holy grail "I'd kill to just have one drop in an imp" bpal scent? Dublin. Dublin, Dublin, Dublin. Sigh. Are there any existing Weenies that you have your eye on, but haven't gotten around to getting? See my wishlist. I haven't gotten any of the current Weenies. if you wear earrings, do you have pierced ears? Don't wear earrings, don't have pierced ears.

    Switch Witch ketchup part 1

Yeah, I know I'm leaving some things blank. Have someone poke me if needed. Do you like s'mores and s'mores-flavored things? Yeeeeeesssssssss. What's the neatest freebie you've gotten? A Villainess gift certificate for my birthday last year from a lovely forumite I'd rarely interacted with before. It was a complete surprise. Plus, I received so many amazingly generous gifts to restock my BPAL box after my son destroyed most of my collection a few months ago. Would you enjoy receiving cute but useful items like colorful kitchen utensils/gadgets, or bento supplies? (boxes, chopsticks, accessories, etc?) What about things like spice mixes (homemade, or Penzey's for example) I love kitchen stuff! I don't have any bento supplies but would love to start. Flavorful spice mixes are also welcome, but I'm just not crazy about super spicy things. Do you like cute, seasonal or fluffy PJ bottoms? Like they sell at Target, Old Navy (they have had cute Halloween ones!) If so, what size do you wear? Definitely! XL, 16 or 18 What kind of chocolate do you like? Nuts, no nuts, white, dark, etc? Milk preferred, dark ok, white meh. Nuts are good. So are fruit fillings, peanut butter, and caramel. Chocolate with cinnamon or sea salt is awesome. I live near a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Penzeys! What does your little heart desire from any or all of these places? Not a clue. I'm not familiar enough with their offerings to ask for anything. Are home made foods acceptable or does the idea of eating strange mailed food disturb you? Homemade foods are yummy. I just gave you $20 and sent you into a "has everything" store ala Walmart and told you that you have to come out having spent it all, and none of it on anything you need. What would you buy? Be as specific as possible! Colorful ankle socks, cookie jar, & a toilet paper roll holder. What kind of cuisines do you like? And, what are your favorite restaurants? Southern home cooking, Chinese, Japanese. Favorite restaurants are Cliff House Inn in Jasper, AR, and hibachi restaurants. I'm from Canada - is there anything specifically a witchee might like that is only available here? Not sure. what are your "fandoms" and would you like a t-shirt from TeeFury if an appropriate one came up? Stargate SG1, Eureka, Doctor Who, Firefly. Yes! Men's XL should fit. I haven't had any luck ever with online girly tees. Do you have an eReader and if so which one? Kindle (basic, not Fire or Touch) Do you like candles, or tart burners, or something? If so, what's your favorite scent to burn? Love them! Favorite scent depends on season. For fall, probably spiced pumpkin, maple, spiced fruits, snow, autumn leaves. Marzipan? Never had it. Willing to try. Would you be interested in washable/reusable muslin “paper” towels (basically muslin squares hemmed around the edge)? Maybe in some sort of box to put on your kitchen or bathroom counter? Sounds good! Do you drink alcohol and if so, would you be OK with your witch sending you homemade infused vodka? I mainly drink wine and only occasionally. I don't think I'd properly appreciate the vodka. If you get me (or a fellow Aussie, if there are any playing this round) as a witch or witch's minion, would you like to try some Australian specialties, such as TimTams (delicious chocolately cookies), Caramello Koalas (koala shaped chocolates filled with gloopy caramel), Australian native spices or anything like that? Violet Crumble! Haven't tried anything else but would love to! Is there anyone else in your house (kids, pets, partner) that would really appreciate a small gift being included for them in the switchwitchy haul so they don't feel left out? My 3 year old son might. He likes monster trucks, Scooby Doo, Hulk, Curious George, etc. Totally not necessary, though! If your witch is a knitter, crocheter or sewer, is there a particular type of garment you would love to receive (hat, scarf, wrap, cowl, socks, fingerless gloves, arm warmers etc)? Scarves are awesome. So are these minions even though they're not garments. Since it's been mentioned several times, and I've also offered to nacho witch some, would you like to receive wild rice and or maple syrup? I promise to include recipe ideas with the wild rice. Yes, especially if you send recipes! I have 5 bushels of tomatoes sitting in the kitchen right now that are supposed to turn into red sauce tomorrow, so would anyone like a basic red sauce (spaghetti sauce) to make its way to them? Sure! Would you be interested in having a bat adopted in your name? Honestly, bats creep me out, so no. Other adopted animals, trees, etc would be good, though! How would you feel about a taste of (insert witch location here) box? I'd definitely be happy to try it. Some of your favorite artists? Classic and modern? Mucha, Amy Brown...umm. I'm just not big on art. If it's pretty I'll probably like it. Is there a GC scent that's been on your list for ages but keeps falling off the bottom of your order because of the LEs? Umm. The Harlot's House, maybe? I've been getting into indie nail polish brands recently. What's your favorite indie brand of nail polish? Or what's your favorite mainstream brand of nail polish? Or are you not big on polish? Not big on polish. Stuffed things: yea or nay? Stuffed...how? If you mean taxidermy, no thanks. Otherwise probably good. New Question: mix-in-a-jar? How to you feel about cookie or cake or soup mixes that come in jars and you just add, like, an egg or water or what have you? I love them! Would you be interested in beer, wine, or other specialty beverages from your Witch's area? Maybe wine or non-alcoholic beverages. Are there any crafts/skills you've wanted to learn but haven't gotten around to? And if so, would you be interested in supplies and tutorials? I'd like to learn to knit and/or crochet, so yes, please! Who here would be happy to get a lil' sumthin sumthin from Adagio Teas? Not interested. I don't really drink tea. Do you Ravelry? And if so, what's your handle over there? Would you be interested in gift patterns from your queue? I'm not signed up with Ravelry, but if I learned how to knit, I'd love the pattern for those minions I linked to earlier. I live near this very cool Retro store (retrodrygoods.com) (you can order online too) - are there things from it that would make you squee if your witch sent them? Who likes Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses? Meh. They're ok. I'd eat them if you sent them. What does your kitchen look like? Colors/style? Wood cabinets, warm yellow walls, wood paneling on bottom half of walls, wallpaper border (gold & bronze leaf/floral motif on black background) separating yellow from wood. I'd take a picture but it's a disaster. I can never keep up with the dirty dishes. What's one random thing you really like and one random thing you really dislike? Like: my ped egg. Dislike: Whatever makes my dog bark her head off all night long. Are there any herbs that you haven't been able to lay hands on that I could send you? There's an herbal shop I really like here in NYC called Flower Power (flowerpower.net) that has quite a wide selection. No, thanks. If there are no "witchy" shops near you, is there anything I can pick up for you from Enchantments? Not really interested. Hey Witchee! I want to send you a delivery. It could be cupcakes from a local bakery, it could be a singing hugging bear-a-gram, it could be a bouquet of flowers. But it will be something that you need to be there to receive. a) Are you OK with "special deliveries"? *waggles eyebrows* B..) Is the address in your questionnaire the best place to reach you for said deliveries? c) If the delivery requires a phone number (as say, some florists do) would you be OK with that information being tracked down by your Witch or asked of you anonymously? Yes to all of the above. A nacho witch PM would be the best way to get my phone # if required. What are some things you are OK with receiving gently used or homemade, and some things you absolutely do not want if they are gently used or homemade? Ok: Books, BPAL/BPTP t-shirts, hats/scarves. Not ok: undies. And now a new question: I live near a Mast General Store (mastgeneralstore.com). It has lots of vintage-y toys, southern foods (jams, jellies, spices) and vintage candy. Is there anything I can get for you? Do you have any Fall or Halloween traditions? Not really. I like to put up Halloween decorations, but that's about it. Ninjas or Pirates? Pirates. I have an extra room spray and 2 extra bath oils (one Cephalopod, one Exhibit Hall Fatigue) from Dragon*Con - would anybody like a decant? No, thanks. Witchee, would you like it if I made you a "mix tape" of songs that I think you might like? And if so, would you prefer mp3 or CD format? Sure. MP3 is probably better. My kids destroy CDs. I know it is totally the wrong season (for most of us), but do you like/have space to garden? If so, what do you like to grow? No gardening for me! I grow weeds and kill everything else with neglect. I'm about to be near a Lush store next week, is there anything you might like from there? Never really tried any of their products, so I don't know. Songs that you keep meaning to buy but never get round to it? Can't think of any. Movies that you love but forgot to put in your questionnaire? Any favorite Bath & Body Works scents/products? Sandalwood Rose (usually only available at the semi annual sales), umm...it's been a long time since I let myself in their store. I mainly just bought their hand soaps and wax tarts. Haus of Gloi is offering custom perfumes - would you like one? What would your ideal blend be? I'm not familiar with their products, but I wouldn't say no. See my questionnaire for blend ideas. Any Bath, Body or nutritional type items you would love to try from a Natural and Organic food store (similar to Whole Foods) that you don't buy because they are a bit too pricey? OK, so those of you who said you wouldn't mind receiving (sneakily packaged!) beer or wine: Tell me of your taste preferences. Dry/sweet? Red/white? Lager/ale/porter/stout? Fruit? Spice? Hops? Sour (brettanomyces, etc)? Sweet, red or white. Fruit wines are good. Examples of what I like are Cupcake Vineyard's Chardonnay and Red Velvet (not crazy about their Angel Food). I'm willing to try anything once, though. Witchee, will you be gone from your normal mailing address at any point during the round? Most likely not. I'll post on the forum if I'll be gone. Are you a Disney fan or does even thinking about Disney make your head hurt? If you're into Disney, would you like something from the Happiest Place on Earth ? Disney makes my head hurt. I like a few shows on Disney channels (Phineas & Ferb!), but that's about it. dear witchee, would you, could you use an electric candle warmer? Not really. If I can't have an open flame, I use my tart burner. Do you lust after some new socks/tights? Always. I usually wear ankle/low rise socks. I love toe socks. I don't usually wear tights or knee socks because I have thick calves, but I'm not against them if they're not constricting.

    Spanish Red Carnation

Oh, I am so glad to have bought this. When I first tried this, it was still warm from the mailbox, and it was horrible -- soapy, overpowering floral. I gave it another try the next day after a night in cooler temperatures. Now it is GORGEOUS. It really is the perfect spicy floral. I just wish it lasted longer on my skin.

    Pumpkin Latte

This smells so delicious! I wish the pumpkin latte I got from my local coffee shop tasted as good as this smells. It's creamy coffee with sweet and gently spiced pumpkin. This one has very good lasting power but isn't so strong that it overpowers everything else. Definitely a keeper!

    Monarch

King mandarin, red ginger, sugar cane, golden amber, mango, and pumpkin. When I saw the description for this, I WANTED IT SO BAD. I loved the pumpkin and red ginger in Pumpkin Queen, and I love all the other notes in this one, so I thought for sure I'd love Monarch! Instead, my body chemistry turned just plain EVIL. In the bottle, I smelled a gentle pumpkin with a touch of sweet citrus. So nice! Then I put it on. Half an hour later, I keep checking my son for a dirty diaper because something in the room smells that bad. Suddenly I realize that it's me. I had to wash it off and have been too upset to try it again. Definitely not a keeper for me.

    Ghoulish

AMARETTO! I'd forgotten what the notes were for pretty much everything I ordered, so. Yeah. Amaretto. That's the note that hits me most that my out-of-practice nose couldn't put a name to. Straight out of the bottle, this is almost all amaretto with just a touch of cherry to sweeten and saffron to give it a creamy golden edge to it. All together it almost reminds me of caramel. It calms down on my skin, softens and smooths out, so that I'm left with a delightfully yummy scent wafting up from my wrists.

How to make a paypal order.

I can't think of any address issues, but I did look up some old CnS emails to verify something. That weird-looking string of characters was on all my CnS notices. It differed each time, never the same string, but I just figured it was something the Lab assigned to each order. That's not Paypal's doing. Also, when you say Paypal snipped off the end of your street address, can you say more what you mean by that -- without giving away your actual address, obviously? Whenever I create a CnS in Paypal, the street address automatically gets abbreviated -- Street to St, Avenue to Ave, etc. Was it something like that? If so, as far as I know, they're just abbreviating to match USPS's style of address (if you were to enter a street address on the USPS website, they'd abbreviate the same way).
  13. CCNow's order status changes to "Shipped" when your order is harvested. If you just placed the order very recently, from what I understand, CCNow places a temporary hold on your credit card for the purchase amount. It disappears after a few days, but the charge reappears for good once the Lab harvests the orders. lunarmoths, I'm confused, too. Where did you read the 1400 days thing? You can get a good idea of how long orders are taking to ship by watching the Click 'n Ship thread. Right now it looks like orders from around January 20th are shipping out.
  14. Apparently USPS is sucking more than usual lately, and no one's DC numbers are working. Your package should still be en route.

    CCNow Questions & Problems

This is a very common misunderstanding that gets brought up all the time. CCNow's order status of "shipped" just means the Lab harvested your order to work on it. The CnS is probably for your first order, and you'll get another one soon for your order from the 18th.
