BPAL

  • BPAL of the Day
    gypsy queen
  • Favorite Scents
in no particular order: gypsy queen, pink moon 07, dorian, snake charmer, glasgow, bordello, the emathides, dia, maiden, the girl, tabella, lamia, deathrock, klara, maiden v2, harvest moon 2013, as above, so below, the little wooden doll, delight and consternation, neutral, imaginer, venustas.

notes i like: carnation, oakmoss, olive blossom, most musks (not blue), amber, leather, tobacco, rose, violet, tonka, wine (sometimes), all citrus notes, dirt, blackberry, incense, orchid, coconut, clove, smoke, ginger, tea, bergamot, vetiver (sometimes), vanilla, tuberose, chrysanthemum, copal, neroli, lavender, phlox, stephanotis, champaca, gardenia, oudh.

notes that often don't work or that i just dislike: BPAL's frankincense/sandalwood/cedar can turn leadlike on me if used heavily; jasmine (i amp it too much if it's prominent), super foody cake-like scents (turn plasticky/just don't really like them); paper/parchment does a weird/sour thing as do many woods, if they are main notes. i just basically dislike peach, poppy/opium, dragon's blood, ozone, metallics, lotus (sometimes), plum which often turns plasticky on me, as do many fruits.
