Reindeer Poop

Love this. Spicy cake with a fresh musky note that prevents this from being over-the-top foody.

Smells like cocoa, musk, and some kind of brown resin. And a touch of spice. It's too musky to be "foodie" to me -- this is not what I'd call a foodie scent.

I like this, but I don't love it, and I don't go after these rare one-offs unless it's something I love. I leave it for someone else who will wear it. So my little tester will find a new home. :)

Imp: pine needles, chocolate and coffee grinds.

Wet on Skin: it smells like molasses! Definitely reminiscent of gingerbread, dusted with cacao and drizzled with caramel for good measure.

Drydown: warm spiced crème brulee gingerbread mocha. Sweet, yummy foodie that reminds me a bit of Misk-U.

This was a frimp from a really generous forumite :)

I've been putting off trying this on way too long! It's a yummy, foody scent of dark, rich cake and my nose is picking up almost a hay or straw note like in Gunpowder or Sleipnir. Wish it stuck around longer!

This is a spicy piney musky scent in the imp; on my skin, it's the same spicy, musky, bit of pine scent. Hrm... And then it goes cocoa spicey musk. Mmm. Second skin test, please let me not be falling for the BPALico - erm, BPALideer? Ends up being a bit too piney and musky for me on the second full skin test, so I can pass it onto someone else, I think.

Reindeer Poop

On: Cocoa, maple syrup, and patchouli? Yum.

1.5 hours in: Soft and sweet, with a hint of cocoa.

3 hours in: Still sweet, but not overwhelming. I'm getting a nice, smooth base of patchouli and cocoa.

Overall: This is a really interesting, but simple, blend. I would think I'd be OHMYGOD about it, but it's just sort of meh on me.

Whoa! Thanks trading post!!

Wet: spicy sweet chocolate glazed maple cakes with something floral..not piney. Maybe a slight touch of juniper? I might be crazy.

Drysown: sweet and planty floral.. I swear. Like cockaigne with chocolate and a bit of juniper. The floral could be my skin, but this is great on me.

Frimp!

Yes, as others have said - chocolate, pine & spices/spiced coffee.

I can see where the molasses association comes from....but my chemistry keeps the pine hanging out too strongly to venture into the 'foody' classification.

In the Imp (ITI): Cocoa, fruit cake or spice cake, and perhaps a little pine. Um, this may not be for me. I’m generally not a foody when it comes to scents.

Wet: The cocoa is verb prominent on my skin, although the spice cake is coming though (a bit of battery tones mixed with cinnamon), and once again, the pine is merely hanging out in the background. I would like this scent much more if the pine was a major player. It’s not super foody, but I still don’t love it.

Dry: The cinnamon is stronger once dry, although there is still the base note of cake and cocoa, which I don’t mind, but of which I’m not terribly fond. There is the faintest hint of pine, but not enough to make it something I would wear.

I received a frimp of this the other day with an etsy order from the Trading Post. I guess it's Christmas in July! :)

At first whiff, this is very foodie- strong cocoa and caramel mostly. The cocoa quickly fades and a warm, nuzzly brown musk comes to the front in its place. It doesn't morph too much after that. Most of the dry phase is a salty caramel and musk. Usually caramel is terrible on me, but the musk keeps it in check and makes this a more wearable scent for me than a true foodie scent would be. Luckily its cold enough in San Francisco during the summer that I don't have to wait to wear this wonderful winter scent!

Wet: Fresh pine and spiced cake.

Dry: The pine is almost completely gone, and I'm left with the spiced cake scent. There's a small addition of chocolate now, as well.

I like it! I'll be holding onto my imp.
