Rose, apples, orange, spice and sandalwood. I came looking for a rose scent but ended up loving spicy fruit: Samhain, Pumpkin Patch #1, Harvest Moon, Montresor, Phantom Calliope & Alice's Evidence.I am very fond of Gingerbread Poppet, Gingerbread Villain, Phantom Calliope & SawScaled Viper in dreary weather. Favorite roses are Parlament of Foules, London, Rose Red, Dawn:Mother, All Saints & White Rose. Sugar Skull, Velvet, Dorian & the new Antique Lace are my comfort scents. I prefer Mme Moriarty over Snake Oil when I want to feel sexy as hell. And I would happily bathe in Lady Una! I'm not afraid of a little patchouli. Blackberry, wine, ginger & pumpkin are yum. Amber & Dragon's Blood are so-so. Leather often makes me queasy & clove/carnation can make me headachey. Vanilla, cinnamon, honey, rose & violet are variable, but I'll try everything 'cause they're fabulous when they do work. White florals & aquatics are rarely nice on me. I like fruity musky things for warm weather like Lady Una, Autumn Moon of the Mirror Stand, Tattered Lace, Paper Phoenix & the appley Black Lace (or Dorian, can't go wrong with Dorian).
Gardening fiend searching for the ultimate rose scent. As a library lady, of course I read incessantly: Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Jim Butcher, Ben Aaronovitch, Martha Wells, Ted Naifeh, Robin McKinley, Garth Nix, Diana Wynne Jones are all authors I read & re-read with pleasure. I like really dark coffee, milk chocolate, black licorice (even salted), fruit tisanes, earl grey & Murchie's No. 10 teas. Oh, and cats, but not to eat.
