    Fairy Thorn

Spring is on its way, so the time for my Fairy Thorn is here!! I love the clean light florals in this one. Some other plum blends are dark, but this plum nectar is refreshing and just floats on top of the moss. One of my all-time favorites.
  2. tyche

    Two Frames

Sweet lavender cupcake frosting!!! The kind of buttercream frosting where you want a huge corner piece of cake loaded with generously piped flowers. The lavender is like Daybreak from another Lilith year, very calming and relaxing. This is absolutely delicious.

    Faster Kittycat?

When wet, this reminds me of Lady Lucille Sharp, but without the deep dark fruitiness of that. Maybe just the ambers? It also definitely hits a memory of my grandmother's fancy perfume bottles from the 50s-70s. She kept them on a glass tray and held onto the bottles for decades. So this smells like vintage perfumes, but not any one in particular. It's more the idea of vintage perfume. It was great at first...but now I'm 4 hours in and getting a very strange scent. It took me a while to place exactly what I'm sniffing but finally figured it out. This is turned into asparagus pee on me. I'll give the bottle some time to rest and try again in a few weeks.

    Switch Witch 2020 questions

9/12/20 Does anyone like the prints or items from www.ElissaMarieCreative.com ? I have a few of her prints and the notebooks and they are quality! The book witch is super cute and I can always use notebooks. What about www.drawingsbynicole.com? Anything specific? No thanks Does anything from www.vapidlacquer.com stick out to you? Not really I do pour painting/acrylic fluid art (with varying degrees of success, haha). Would you like a custom piece in colors of your choice (takes 3-4 weeks with curing, longer if you want it sealed, so it would arrive post-round if custom) or a piece already finished in my collection? I have mostly 12 x 12 and 10 x 10s right now. Pics available upon request! That would be so cool! I love turquoise and purples. 9/11/20 Is there anything you'd like from the UK? Clotted cream fudge and anything treacle flavored. And teas! Do you have a particular fandom you'd like stuff from? I really like What We Do in the Shadows, the TV show more so than the movie. How do you feel about tea? Preferences? Would you want anything from David's Tea (https://www.davidstea.com/us_en/home/), Steepologie (https://www.steepologie.com/), Bird & Blend (https://birdandblendtea.com/us_en/), or do you have a favorite tea maker to suggest? What about tea tools or cups? Chais would be welcome for the fall. Steepologie is new to me, and everything looks good!! I don't need any tea tools, though. I drink both bagged and loose teas. How do you feel about fragrant things for the home like incense, candles, atmosphere spray? Candles yes, but I don't use incense or sprays. Do you share your home with any loved ones (human, feline, canine, etc.) who might enjoy a tiny treat too? Large dog who eats anything. 6 Cats plus foster kittens right now, they love most treats and toys. My husband will probably get to try any food gifts. 9/9/20 would anybody like a small cross stitch thing, like a patch or pin? or cross stitching notions like handmade needle minders? I don't cross stitch myself. Would use a pin over a patch. 9/8/20 Art and artists - anyone dig any of this? https://www.studiodesade.com/ (They also do masks, see here.) No thanks If you knit/crochet/weave, would you like custom dyed yarn? And if so do you have preference on weight, fiber, colors? None for me what is one fun/frivolous thing for $20 or less that you’d enjoy? Random kitchen gadgets If I sent you to a dollar store with $20, what would you walk out with? Probably some candy or discount Halloween items! 9/5/20 what are your feelings on home made/ home canned jams & pickles or syrups? I even make things with berries I grow in my garden. I make both brandied & bourbon cherries. Syrups good for cocktails, in lemonade or tea, flavors include Lavender, Lavender + Lemon, & Lavender + Vanilla. Interested? All of that sounds amazing Is there something that you're especially hoping to receive for this round? For example, a brand you've heard of that you're especially wanting to try, or a certain "thing" that you really want but just cant bring yourself to buy for yourself?? Nothing in particular. I'm just excited to see what the round brings. Would you rather receive supplies/tools for your own craft/hobby or receive something you can't make yourself? Since I'm not super crafty, something I can't make myself Is there anything you'd like from Penzeys (https://www.penzeys.com/)? I've been wanting to try them! Penzey's pepper, Chicago steak seasoning, Tuscan sunset 9/3/20 Would you like anything from here? https://www.etsy.com/shop/TaterRoundsBeauty Maybe some candles? I'll need to take a look at the site 9/2/20 Would you like a face mask from one of my favorite artists? https://akumuink.com/collections/facemasks No, I wear masks mostly at work one of our fellow BPAL friends makes custom masks, Hakutaku Custom Masks on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/HakutakuMasks/ ). Would anyone be interested in one of her masks? 9/1/20 are you familiar with https://www.a-natural-alternative.com/ ? Take a peak & let me know if you might like to try something. No thanks 8/30/20 Is there anything you want from Japan? Current kit kat flavors are... Salty Lemon, Salty Lychee, Sweet Potato, Chestnut and possibly still some Cookies and Cream Ice Cream or Strawberry Ice Cream from summer. Other than that, anime goods, cute stationery, other Japanese snacks, lay it on me! I'd try any kitkats!! What are your favorite self-care items or activities? I'm especially curious about things that you hesitate to do/get because they feel like frivolous luxuries. Love nail polish!! I do have quite a bit and frequently buy from Live Love Polish. 8/29/20 Does anything from Paintbox Soapworks catch your eye (http://paintboxsoapworks.com/)? Haha, I placed an order the day her weenies dropped. Hex on the Beach is amazing, I just got the oil in it. So any lotions, bath struesels, or candles. I didn't get any candles on this order, but would love some. Does anything from the Trading Post's etsy page catch your eye (https://www.etsy.com/shop/bptradingpost)? After enjoying looking at the links several others have put in the questions, I decided to add some of my own favorite independent artists who I enjoy supporting - so, what do you think of the goodies from these people? And specific items you love? Enjoy! 1) https://www.catcoven.com/ 2) https://www.mineralgypsy.com 3) https://www.redbubble.com/people/thelatestkate/shop 4) https://www.marikapaz.com/shop/ 5) https://www.faunwood.com 6) https://www.shannatrumbly.com/ 7) https://fiddlersgreenzine.com 8 ) https://www.hedgespokenpress.com One of the things I do is make nifty things from sweaters that I cut up & upcycle into things like super warm mittens, arm warmers, striped arm warmers, cowls, teapot cozies, & French press cozies. I don't have a slipper I love yet, but I'm working on it. So, which of these things might you like? Give me some thoughts on colors you like & if for a teapot or press, I need to know a size. Arm warmers! I can wear those in my office. Mittens don't get much use in Louisiana. I enjoy historical reproductions and am a fan of LBCC Historical Apothecary. Is there something in her store you might be interested in? I get Ipsy and just have tons of makeup, so I really don't need more! 9/13/20 Do you have a favorite art style/movement/artist? There are a few favorite artists on my Etsy. But for grand, historical art styles and movements? It's hard to pin down anything specific, I guess I just get overwhelmed at all of the possibilities. Who is your fashion icon(s)? With COVID, my library allows us to wear jeans daily. Sure, I like to think that I'd wear the dresses that I own (and sometimes I do!), but I mostly wear jeans and whatever is comfortable. What is your favorite mythological creature? Selkies. My litter of foster kittens last year had mythological names - mama Nessie and her babies Banshee, Pooka, Pixie, and Bigfoot. is there anything you want from Lush? I've never tried anything from Lush. I don't like anything that makes a huge mess in the bathtub though. Do you need any astrological work done, since thats one of my professions? Any particular areas you could utilize a consultation? YES. I would love to do this! How do you feel about the homemade fudge I sell in my etsy shop? https://www.etsy.com/shop/HollysRainbow -particular preferences, flavors (consider I take special flavor requests all the time!)? Yum!! Forest fruit looks delicious and I love fudge with walnuts. How do you feel about keto or sugar-free, low carb baked goods or treats?? I will eat them, but I'm totally fine with sugar and carbs. 9/14/20 Anything you'd like from Future Primitive: https://futureprimitivesoap.co.uk Scent-wise, I'm intrigued by Cold Pillow, Gingerbread, Ghost Smoke. Do you have an Etsy wishlist? Yes, check my signature. I wanted to share this link to a soapmaker I love and ask if y'all see anything you would like from them! https://www.herbneden.com/ I'd try it Nui Cobalt Designs perfumes...(just got her latest email): How about the scents being discontinued? The Critters? https://nuicobaltdesigns.com/collections/critters-2020?page=1 or other ones? No thanks 9/15/20 I have a friend who does pet caricatures. He's done ones for all of my pets. Is this something you would be interested of for your pet(s)? That would be right up my alley! Do you decorate seasonally/for holidays? Is there anything in particular you would like to that end? I love to decorate for Halloween!! Last year I turned my office into a cabinet of curiosities with all kinds of skeletons and weird items. Would you like anything from House of Gloi, especially from their Autumn Update? (https://www.hausofgloi.com/collections/fall-1) Their pumpkin butter looks nice in Hex or Scarecrow I know the tea question has been asked, but what, specifically, about Adagio teas? Oooh, I really spent some time on this site! Earl Gray Moonlight, Earl Gray Bella Luna, Candy Apple, Spiced Apple Chai, Chocolate Chai, 40 winks, Autumn Mist Green, Bonfire, Maple Creme Oolong What about anything tempting from Dandelion Chocolate? (https://store.dandelionchocolate.com/pages/home)I love dark chocolate 9/16/20 Would you, my dear Witchee, like anything from April Gloom? https://www.etsy.com/shop/AprilGloom (this is our @spookygrrrly - switch witch code coming soon to a spreadsheet near you.) The glow in the dark skull is cute! How about from https://twinklentwilight.etsy.com ? (This shop belongs to @twilighteyes - we can maybe crochet some of the unicorns that are sold out...) I don't have any projects for a project bag, but I do love that puffed-up black cat print! Would you enjoy anything from my friend Brian's Etsy shop? https://www.etsy.com/shop/BrianSerwayArt? Spellbound Shade Are you a sock person? If so what are your favourite kinds to wear? Do you have a sockdreams wishlist? Please no socks!!! I have too many and my cats love to pull them out of drawers every day and scatter them around the bedroom. If you're not near one, is there anything from Trader Joe's you'd like? Definitely!! Nothing specific, since I haven't lived near a Trader Joe's in a decade. If we make a trip to Dallas I'll stop there to see what's new. Snacky things, chocolates, cookies, spices. How do you feel about local items from my city, like spicy (think chili) things or local coffee? The coffee is not spicy lol. Yum, yes! Love spicy things do you have good feelings about Funko Pop? Yes, I have Goose the cat and Goose Flerken-style in my office. But I don't collect them. Candles! Anything from these places catch your fancy? https://cantripcandles.com/collections (restocks Friday 9/18 at 9:00 PST) Sample pack, and I love those matchbooks!! https://miruscandles.com/collections What?? Grishaverse candles??? The Darkling, please. As for GOT, Winterfell also seems like it would smell nice. https://briarwickcandles.com/collections More Grishaverse? I've been missing out. Again, The Darkling, but also Kaz and Nikolai!! In the Halloween scents, Ghost Stories and Sorcery. 9/18/20 Witchee, assuming you like home made/home canned condiment goodies, what is your spice level preference? Flavorful spicy. As long as it's tasty, I can handle a lot of spice. Would you be interested in anything from Cellar Door Bath Supply Co.? Oh, this company is new to me and looks right up my alley. Blook Magick, Crooked Corn Maze, Once Bitten, Sanderson Spice seem intriguing. 9/19/20 Lilith are up! Is there anything from the release that you want? Decant or full bottles? A Little Piece of Eternity, Baby's First Chainsaw, Our Little Crypt Ghoul, You are not Alone How would you feel about recipes? Sure! Would anyone be interested in anything from Bucees?! It’s a magical giant beaver gas station/shop! It has spices, fudge, Knick knacks, all things Texas, candy, beef jerky, roasted nuts, and of course beavers! Most things like the fudge and nuts are made in house. We've made a stop at the Alabama Bucees and it was fun!! Lots to choose from. 9/20/20 How do you guys store your decants so they are not a confused mess? If you've got a system, please share it. My decants are a confused mess 😲 9/21/20 I'm a knitter. I have some knitted washcloths done, and can knit up more. Would you like some? Also, if answered soon enough, I can maybe get a scarf done. Would you like one? What colors would you like? Thin or thick? With or without fringe? Are you allergic to any fibers - wool, cashmere, angora, alpaca? Usually too warm in Louisiana for scarves Witchee, darling, there's a *slight* chance I might be going on a trip next week and *might*, in the course of this trip, have access to Disneyworld goodies from Epcot and Magic Kingdom - any stuff you might desire? Haunted Mansion items would be spooky 9/22/20 Would you like any of Snag Tights’ Halloween offerings and if so, what size? No thanks Do you prefer getting one or two really nice/more expensive things or several smaller/less expensive little things? Or do you have no preferance? Either is fine! Witchee, do you like tea? If so, what kind? I do and make both loose leaf and bagged. Black, green, white, herbal, I'll try any. Witchee, do you want anything? Shirts, mugs, postcards from Anarchist Seattle, Portland, or New York.... https://www.redbubble.com/people/litlnemo/shop?artistUserName=litlnemo Maybe something small, like a postcard Would you be interested in a gently-used tarot deck (or other oracle)? If so, toss out some styles you gravitate towards, cause I have SO MANY DECKS and I'd love to send one or more along! Sure Are you interested in receiving a burned CD of music? If so, name of genres, artists, styles that you are into or would like more of to explore. No thanks Do you have an Amazon wishlist? If you do and you're ok with getting stuff from it, please share the link! Yes, in the spreadsheet and I recently updated Pumpkin/pumpkin spice – yay or nay? Yay in food/drinks but nay in other products (soaps, perfumes, etc.) or vice versa? What are your thoughts? Yay...if edible I prefer nutmeg-free pumpkin spice. Candy corn – love it or loathe it? Or just don’t care much one way or another? I like it, but only need to eat one or two pieces a season. The mallowcreme pumpkins are a different story! 9/23/20 https://www.poesieperfume.com/loose-leaf-tea <---- would you be interested in receiving tea and / or scents from Poesie? Anything from this site would work for me I have been remiss--witchee (or anyone needing a minion), I am notorious for homemade caramels, shortbreads both savory and sweet, and catnip/catnip laced toys. I've also started playing with homemade marshmallows and fruit candies. Any interest? All of the above. HOMEMADE MARSHMALLOWS made my heart skip a beat.

    Cozy Pumpkin Sweater

This one is so true to its name! The scent is just plain cozy. The pumpkin seems more of a fresh pumpkin scent - pumpkin juice, perhaps? - rather than a pumpkin spice. That makes it a lighter scent than the heaviness I generally associate with cinnamon and ginger spices. it also has a sweetness that is quite comforting. It lasted a couple of hours on me, I applied about 8am and now at 1pm its only noticeable if I'm sniffing my wrist. This one is going to be a great fall scent.
  6. tyche

    Daybreak

The lavender is similar to last year's Waiting, but the coconut & vanilla make this a warmer scent. I really enjoy the coconut and this was wonderful to wear to sleep.
  7. tyche

    Brunch Witches

I tried Brunch Witches this morning and immediately smelled the Crunchberries cereal! Glad to see it wasn't just me. That artificial berry scent fades after about an hour and then it's a pleasant sweet cream. I really don't get any pumpkin, all berries & cream.
  8. tyche

    Honeyed Apple

My first apple scent, too! I really enjoy this, the apple is strong and bright. It's a refreshing light fall scent, a nice change from the darker, heavier Weenies in my collection. The honey comes in after about a half hour and stays for quite a while. There is a nice lingering syrup scent.

    13 nights of Halloween 2016

Forgot to stick this in my questionnaire - I love Penny Dreadful - but I haven't seen the final season yet! paintboxsoapworks/PBSW: I couldn’t help myself and already placed an order with Creeping Horror soap, Red Right Hand lotion, What the Moon Brings lotion & soy wax melts. I would like to try the bath streusel – Indian Summer is a favorite and so is Smoky Jack. Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead: I don’t celebrate Dia de los Muertos. I appreciate the rich traditions, but don’t take part. Ren Faire – I’ve never been to one! I really don’t know what is even available. Fandoms - Harry Potter (when I read the books, I thought I was Ravenclaw, but I’ve come to realize that I am in fact Slytherin), Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (LOVE the fae in this book), Outlander, Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha books, Oliver Potzsch’s Hangman’s Daughter series, Downton Abbey, Great British Baking Show. For collecting, if a cat is involved, then yes. Knitted items – I like mittens, scarves, arm warmers. Nothing too thick or heavy, since we don't get very cold winters in Louisiana. Fall/Halloween icons – Black cats, witches, vampires, ghosts, mummies, skeletons, werewolves, a lot of vintage Halloween things (especially old postcard images), the Headless Horseman, Jack o’lanterns. My next door neighbors get super into zombies and turn their front yard into a zombie graveyard, so their decorations fill my zombie quota for the season. I do like colorful fall leaves and as an Illinois native now in Louisiana, that’s what I miss most. Soaps – I do like bar soaps for the shower and liquid (or foam!!) for hand soaps. Teas – I like black teas best, herbal is also good in fruity flavors. Chai is lovely. Past Weenies – Oh, the Sleepy Hollow collection. That unfortunately was released when I took a bpal break and I missed all of it Others include The Unquiet Grave, Pumpkin Lager, Halloween: New Orleans, A World where there are Octobers Are you a shawl wearer- and if you don't wear one now, would you? - Not really Tell me about LUSH- do you like them? If so, what are some of your favorite things from there? Particularly fond scents or products? Stuff you can't stand? - Never tried Lush. Fizzy bath things are fun, though! So, in this swap, you open a goodie every day. I have seen this gift direction done several different ways, but I am interested in which you are most keen to do. Would you rather: A. have strict direction as to which gift is to be opened on which day(aka the number system)? B.have a few gifts that are meant to be opened on specific days (ex: *this* one is for Halloween night only), but the rest be your choice? C. have a free-for-all, grab bag-style box of goodies, where you are the sole arbiter of your goodie grabbing destiny(everything is wrapped but you pick the gift you want to open each day)? D. be surprised? Haha, just make it easy for me and number them. I live in Japan, is there anything from there you would specifically want? Nothing specific, I'm open to surprises Pumpkin Spice or No Pumpkin Spice? Yay to pumpkin spices like cinnamon, ginger, and cloves...Nay to nutmeg. It's fine if it's sprinkled in with other spices in a baking mix or something, but stand-alone nutmeg is just awful to me. Milk, white, and/or Dark Chocolate? Dark dark dark. And never white chocolate, it's just too sweet for me. Do you like Yankee Candle? Anything you want from there? I prefer waxes or tarts to candles, just because open flame + cats is not the best idea. Anything you have your eye on at BPTP? Very curious about the hair glosses. The Crimson Peak claw polishes are gorgeous, too. Bath & Body Works No thanks Sockdreams Footie socks! The sockness monster and the shark attack are adorable! Baked goods - It's still really hot here, so most baked items wouldn't do well sitting on my porch after delivery. But I'd love baking mixes that I could make myself Anything special you want from the Target dollar spot? Nothing special, but you're welcome to choose something Witch In/Out Sign- No thanks I live in The Netherlands. If there's anything in particular that you'd like to get from here, now's the time to tell! I'm willing to try any yummy treats I'm sort of collecting Lush showergels.Regular collection, but also many Kitchen items. Are there any showergels you'd like to try? I'd be happy to make you samples! I'd rather have soap, I don't really use showergel that much. What is your stance on Glitter? I'm fine with it in decorating & crafts Also, if you have a Goodreads or other online reading log, does it include a wishlist? Otherwise, is it safe to assume books on the 'to-read' section are wishlist items? Or are you less into keeping a physical copy of the book, and instead prefer to turn to the awesomeness of the library to get your to-read need accomplished. And I'll be working on my goodreads all day now It's a bit of a mess because I had used shelfari for years, but had to export all of that to goodreads. I'm making an "on my wishlist" tag for books that I want on my bookshelves at home. Tea lovers, what do you like from Whittard? Never tried. I just looked at their website and I'd try anything (just not decaffeinated, I love my caffeine) how about art? (Small/mailing safe sizes, course) Yes Dearest Pumpkin - how much are you wedded to wishlists, say I have some read once books which I think you might like based on what you've read in the past, but there is nothing of the sort on your current Goodreads "to read" list? Always open to new books, especially historical fiction How do you feel about reading series out of order? Obviously not in situations where the subsequent books are part of the same story arc where you will be totally lost and frustrated if you haven't read all of them, but say, standalone stories which are technically part of a series and which might obliquely reference past books, but not in such as way as to spoil the plot of the book which I happen to have in my possession that you might like. Totally fine with it, as long as I'm not missing something critical. But standalone stories are great - and with mystery/crime series, I usually pick and choose random ones that interest me rather than reading all books in the series. Would you be interested in a Halloween themed short story anthology? Yes Is there a limit to the number of books you'd like to receive? Since I work at a library (but in the local history/genealogy section), I do have access to pretty much any book I want. And I love getting the ARCs when they go to discard. Maybe limit books to 2, since my to-read mountain grows larger every month. Movies in 15 Minutes? I don't know what this is What kind of phone do you have? droid turbo 2 Have you seen the horror film The Babadook? If so, did you like it? Would you want something Babadook-themed? Haven't seen it Those who are amenable to yarnie things--ok, two questions: Any undesirable fibers (wool allergy, vegan so no critter hair at all, etc.)? and how do you feel about cowls/infinity scarves? No scratchy wool please. I do like infinity scarves! Motherhood update: So excited about the update!! I'd really like to try these: A Little More Tea, Funerary Papyri, Lilith & Sekhmet, Holy Trinity, Little Lady Frankenstein, Stonehenge at Dusk, Heel. So who likes incense? and is there a preferred scent? and cones or sticks? Would you like a burner for it? I never use incense, it's just not my thing

    Looking for a Gardenia scent

I love the gardenia in The Lady of Shalott. It is very similar to the gardenia bush in my front yard with a little aquatic mixed in.
  11. tyche

    Lady Lucille Sharpe

I'm trying Lucille today, the first of the 4 CP bottles that arrived yesterday. I can't stop sniffing my wrist! Definitely getting dark, juicy florals, with a hint of dry rose. I'm usually not a fan of rose, but this is very faint, not at all overpowering, and I enjoy it. The scent actually makes me think of the Evil Queen in Snow White, all purples, greens, and reds.

    Switch Witch 15 help

Pumpkin: Yes! I lean more towards the pumpkin baked goods and coffees than candies. Pumpkin soups and pastas are good, too. Booze: Sure, just not a lot. We have a very full liquor cabinet and lose more alcohol to evaporation than actually drinking it. Yellowstone: I'd love to go! Actually, memorabilia from other national parks would be fun, magnets, pens, little stuff like that. Are you a fan of the TV show Penny Dreadful? Yes! I'm getting my husband to watch the 1st season in anticipation of the 2nd season's DVD release. What are your coffee and tea preferences? Do you prefer one, the other, both, or neither (and if it's neither, what about things like hot cider and cocoa)? Loose leaf or bags, whole bean or ground? Is caffeine OK? Any gadgetry you're in need of? Any brands or flavors that you particularly love, loathe, or want to try? I like both, ground coffee and tea bags are just easier for me. I don't have a coffee grinder. Caffeine is good and necessary. What's your sense of humor like? Do you enjoy puns? Play on words? Dirty humor? Dry humor? Who are some of your favorite comedians? Puns usually make me chuckle. Also I stumbled across Iliza Schlesinger on Netflix and loved her jokes. I really like the humor in Parks & Rec. Do you like board games? If so, which ones? Traditional or more unique? (like Settlers of Catan, Small World, Red Dragon Inn, etc) We have regular game nights and play whatever - Uno, Cranium, Exploding Kittens (our newest purchase!), Cards Against Humanity, Gloom, and Betrayal at House on the Hill. Is there anything that you specifically do NOT want to receive? I don't need any scarves, they are my weakness and I have more than one human should ever possess. Please do not enable me. Plain or fun socks? Always fun socks! This should not even be a question, who doesn't want fun socks!?!? Name one (or as many as you would like) thing you would like to learn more about? I'm curious about jewelry making. I really wanted to get into knitting, but it was too hard with all the assistance from cat paws. OH! JAM! I want to start making jam. My sister-in-law just gave us 4 jars of her jam (peach, blueberry, apple, and carrot cake), so I'm inspired to try. What one thing you would like to do more of? I just want more time to do the things that I enjoy. I really like baking, but don't do it as often as I would like. What are some things that fascinate you? Or, What would you like to know more about? Geology. Plants, although outside gardening is difficult with the Louisiana heat. Would you like any cookie butter (just to be clear, store-bought, not home-made, and does contain wheat since it's, y'know, cookie butter)? I like cookie butter, but I prefer the cookies (speculoos cookies) because of their crunchiness. Would you like anything from Lush? Never tried Lush before. Do you prefer hand-made or store-bought? Either. SPICY! Scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being "oh, that's a bit too much black pepper for me" and 10 being "ghost pepper? scorpion pepper? I laugh at these! I love as much heat as you can throw my way!" Where are you? A 5. I do love chili chocolate. What is your BPAL "Holy Grail"? Analog or Digital? Or Both? What scents from other perfume companies are you really wanting to have in your collection and or are just really wanting to test? Companies like NAVA, Arcana, Solstice Scents, Possets, Haus of Gloi etc.....? I haven't tried much else. I'll have to see what samples I have received from other companies, but nothing was as good as BPAL. Do you have an affinity for any specific animals? Kitty-cats! Kitchen Needs or Wants? I always want more spatulas, pot holders, kitchen towels. Below is where the Bold button got stuck and I couldn't unbold so I colored. Makeup! Do you like it, would you want some? If so what brands do you like to wear? I do like it! I usually get Ulta brand (sales all the time), benefit, and too faced. Chocolate fiends ahoy! What kind of chocolate do you like? Do you like any other things in it or just plain good ole chocolate? Dark chocolate is best, good quality milk chocolate with nuts, fruits, pretzels, etc is next. I don't like white chocolate at all. Would you be opposed to receiving a ton of Halloween themed items? Nope, I love them. But I do need more general fall themed decor that can be displayed through November and not put away after Halloween. Would you be interested in any special little thing I might be able to pick up from the Great Lakes Bat Festival this Saturday? Both Janell Cannon (author of Stellaluna and other kids' books) and Fiona Reid (illustrator for lots of animal field guides) will be there, so would you possibly be interested in something like an autographed copy of Stellaluna or one of Cannon's or Reid's other books? Or something from the Organization for Bat Conservation, like a shirt or other swag? Those shirts are cute! What items from the Weenie update interest you, should you have to option of getting anything as a gift from your Witch??? Would you be ok with decants, or bottles? I'm not sure if I'm going to order bottles or not yet from Weenies. I would love to try October, the Vampire Bride, and Apple I. The others didn't grab me. But there are some Liliths that I'm curious about, too. What's your favorite scary movie? I like suspenseful and creepy scary movies, not the blood/pain horror movies. The Skeleton Key is a favorite, The Others is also good. I do like the classic monster movies, too. Blu-ray or DVD? We have both, but I don't know how to use the Blu-Ray Game systems - console or computer? Mac/PC? Which console? WiiU is pretty much the only thing I play...all the Lego games! Working on the Jurassic Park one now. Are you dressing up for Halloween and if so do you need any accessories for if? Not sure yet, but I don't need any accessories if I do. Talk to me about bags, what kinds do you like? Sizes and styles? Bags like purses or bags like shopping bags? If purses, the bigger, the better. With lots of pouches. If shopping bags/totes, I am really set for those. I have numerous sturdy canvas bags for groceries and they usually double as my lunchboxes. What are your favorite fandoms and do you want to receive anything related to such? Harry Potter! Hunger Games, Walking Dead, Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Outlander. Anything related would be lovely. What are you planning to order from the Weenies update? I think I answered this somewhere else..but yes, most likely. October, The Vampire Bride, and Apple I. The Last Huzzah of the NY Renaissance Faire happens this weekend and I'm going! Is there anything you might want? (Besides a turkey leg, which won't ship well!) Probably not. Do you like comics or graphic novels? Any issues or collections you want to read? No Do you like fanfic? Would you like a story written for you as part of your gift? What characters/fandoms/pairings etc do you like? Not really into that. Where do you have wishlists at? If you could please link to them or to a post that links to them. (Amazon, Etsy, Think Geek, Pinterest, Sephora, Lush, BPAL/BPTP, Soap Box Company, everywhere and anywhere!) I think I have them all in my signature links. Let's say you have indicated interest in receiving a hand knitted item. What colors, exactly, do you like? If you could provide color swatches here or to pinterest (or something visual), that would help out a lot. Greens, purples. Would you rather receive a bunch of little packages through the round, a couple of medium packages, or one big package at the end? Last year's witch spoiled me with lots of little packages and then a big one at the end. Whatever works for you, witch, I know that getting to the post office can be a pain sometimes. For those of us with out-of-country Witchees, would you be happy with receiving a few packages from local to you merchants (say, through Etsy or equivalent)? Sure. Would Witchees like something from IKEA? (Or any other not always accessible by everyone store?) Not from IKEA. There is no Trader Joe's near me, though, and I miss it. If/when you go to the mall, for which store(s) do you beeline? Charming Charlie's, Francesca's Do you receive any subscription boxes (julep, lootcrate, ipsy, birchbox, etc.)? Lootcrate (more for my husband) , Stitch Fix (they have gift cards, witch!!), True Drool, and graze. Do you like tarts/candles/incense? If so, what type of scents? No candles or incense. Tarts are good, just not in overly floral scents. Is there anything you wish you could have picked up from the Dragon*Con exclusives? I don't know what dragon con is, so no? Is there a GC you've been dying to try but haven't got around to yet? Dorian The questionnaire asked about gold & silver jewelry, but how do you feel about copper jewelry? Do you like colorful jewelry, or do you prefer to keep it neutral? I don't have any copper jewelry, but like the more delicate bracelets that I see on etsy. I do like colorful jewelry. We asked about decorating style, but are you interested in receiving decorations for your home? Are you interested in things that go on the wall or things that go on shelves? Shelves. Office supplies hound? Pens, pencils, journals, any preference, or favorites? Yes, we have such boring pens & pencils at work. Pretty notebooks would be nice, too. Talk to me about socks! Is there anything, dear, dear Witchee, that I can get for you from Sock Dreams? Anything from another place? I've never heard of Sock Dreams before, so I checked it out. Cute stuff! I usually wear ankle socks. I live near a huuuuge candy store. What kind of candy do you like? Gummies? Caramel? Chocolate? Sour? Sugar-free? A little candy is fine, but please don't overload me! Caramel, chocolate, taffy are favorites. No sours or black licorice. 9/26/15 How do you feel about animal products? Not so much animal toys or food, but more like furs, paws, bones, etc. No thanks. The only fur items I own are cat toys made from old fur coats. Are you interested in receiving any restaurant.com gift certificates for your area? I always forget to bring gift cards with me when I go to dinner, so no. 9/27/15 How do you feel about "toys" - stuffed animals and the like? Little toys for my desk are great and I do like the Funko pops. Stuffed animals are endangered in my house though, the puppy can destroy one in less than a minute. Did you see the eclipse last night? How do you feel about astrological events, like eclipses? Any interest in the Blood Moon Eclipse scent from BPAL? Too cloudy here to see anything. The Blood Moon Eclipse scent sounded interesting, but I've never tried any lunacies. Witchee's, how tall are you? And perhaps, what's your arm span (from wrist to wrist)? I'm 5'10" and have no way to measure my arm span right now. How do you feel about the 4 elements? Or are you more of an Asian 5 elements person? Do you feel strongly about any of the elements, like a connection or a preference? No. How do you feel about bento boxes? Is it something you would use if you were to get one? They are cute, but I really wouldn't use it. Scarves, shawls or cowls? Mittens, gloves, fingerless mitts or wristlets? oooh, scarves...I have so many, but still. I like the fingerless mitten/gloves. It hardly gets cold enough here for serious winter gear, but the fingerless ones are perfect. how do you feel about online classes? Like, say, craftsy or creativebug? Or even lynda.com? I feel like I've given money for some classes and then my lazy butt never does anything. 9/29/15 What do we want from Paintbox Soapworks? Everything. All of it. ALL OF IT. More specific than that? Creeping Horror glycerin soap...look at that face!!..., and any products in these scents - Hiraeth, Scrumble, Smoky Jack...absolutely Smoky Jack. If I were to make you some art, would you prefer a frame that hangs or one that sits? And what color/style would you prefer? Maybe a frame that sits. Greens, purples, blues. How do you feel about gourmet marshmallows? They look delicious, but they also look like they would melt into a marshmallow puddle in my mailbox. Are you a slatherer or a dabber? A dabber.

They Shall Eate the Residue of that which is Escaped

I liked this in my decant when I opened it. Once I tested some, it really reminded me of something else that I just couldn't figure out. On my second try today I realized it smells like Avon Skin So Soft, a bug spray that my mom used when I was little. That's not really a bad thing, just not what I expected from a plague of Egypt!

    Fire Mingled with the Haile

This reminds me a bit of Tempest. There is a quick hint of sweet hay at first and then it goes all aquatic and lovely. I really like this, but wish it had more staying power. I put it on at 8 am and it was gone by 9:30.

Smite All Thy Borders with Frogges

I definitely get the clean, fresh cucumber scent right away - but then there is some murky green once it's on my wrist. A rich garden dirt is also present and I can pick out the tomato leaf, too. Overall, it's a nice scent, but it was gone within about two hours.
