doomsday_disco Report post Posted November 29, 2025 Each purchase of Gloomily, Gloomily comes with a 1/32 oz imp of the Donkey’s Tail. The Donkey’s Tail is not available for sale on its own, and make sure you keep it safe as you never know where it might end up. “That Accounts for a Good Deal,” said Eeyore gloomily. “It Explains Everything. No Wonder.” Doubles as a bell-pull: a beribboned strip of French lavender, bourbon vanilla, silver thistle, grey musk, pink silk, and well-loved grey cotton. abejita Report post Posted December 20, 2025 So much fabric going on here! The cotton and silk are prominent. I noted in my review of Gloomily, Gloomily that it was a scent with texture. This one is even more tactile, somehow. It brings to mind Dorian, Tattered Lace, and They Shut Me Up in Prose.
windbourne Report post Posted December 20, 2025 For me this reminds me of laundry in the best way. Not detergent or soap, or even clean clothes, but the way it smells when you walk out into a cool autumn morning and someone nearby is running their dryer, and how the air around that home smells warm and cozy and clean. There’s a sense of lavender, but not a specificity; this scent is very grey and pink. Compared to Gloomily, Gloomily, it does feel like a flanker-type scent. They share an atmosphere and similar notes, but this is a little sweeter and brighter. I think it could probably stand on its own, but it does smell delightful if you wear a bit near, but not necessarily layered with, Gloomily. They complement each other beautifully. wilhelmscream Report post Posted December 29, 2025 Like Gloomily, Gloomily, this really lives up to its color palette scent translation. Purply-pinkish-grey. A little sweeter and more fabric-focused than it's companion, but having some parallel notes of thistle, lavender and grey musk. It has a very clean but lived in cozy feel to it. A kind of dreamy familiarity to it. Your favorite hoodie or fleece blanket kind of feeling. That thing that brings you great comfort no matter what.
ghoulnextdoor Report post Posted Monday at 12:41 AM I don't want to write a review for this, I only want to tell you this smells like an extremely fuckin' haunted doll and also that I want twenty bottles of it. But that's not fair, and it is also a bit lazy. So: You dream of someone crying. soft and persistent as rain on wool. At the antique stall, "Mourning keepsake," the card said. "Unknown provenance." Her head, porcelain. Her dress, pewter silk and blush-faded ribbons, lavender stems worked through cotton. Someone loved her into being. Someone, heart-rent, hands shaking with grief. Heavier than she looked. Inside, something whispered and later, the seam gave way. Funeral roses. Brown now, petals ground to dust, packed tight into her body like prayers into a throat. Tell me— when you wake from the dream of her crying, what do you do with all this sadness this grief that isn't yours?
