BPAL Madness!

Recommended Posts

Oh this is sooo yummy! I wasn't sure what ruby chocolate is but figured, S.O and chocolate is always a win, and this IS!

Sniffing in the bottle is a blast of S.O and the sweet berry like chocolate. I am not sure what kind of berry, it is sweet and tart. But all notes are strong and amazing! On, it is the same. This is a strong one with great throw and the berry like chocolate and S.O. is such an amazing blend. I like how strong this is. If you are a fan of any of these notes, be sure to grab some.

This is Millennial Pink and Snake Oil's love child and it's an instant favorite! I love the ruby chocolate note and I love Snake Oil. It's so beautiful and rich, has a high throw and really hangs out on the skin all day.

Millennial Pink is my girlfriend's favorite scent on  me, so I got this one hoping it'll be another hit. My body just ABSORBS the ruby chocolate though, leaving behind a little vanilla and Snake Oil and a hint of berry. I like it!

This is mostly about the Snake Oil on me (especially its musk) with some creamy ruby chocolate in the background. It has good throw and staying power, although I'm surprised the ruby chocolate isn't stronger on my skin!

I'm going to set this one aside and test it after it has had a few months to settle. At the moment, I like it, but was hoping for more of that ruby chocolate note from Millennial Pink with the Snake Oil.

In the bottle: Sanke Oil and berries

On the Skin: pretty much the same on the skin but amped up Sanke Oil, berries and a bit of a bakery note in the back.  I don't really get ruby chocolate until the late drydown but, regardless, this is gorgeous, rich, bold, smooth and lasts for ages with good throw.  A winner.

In the bottle this scent is HEAVY on the ruby chocolate note, which is exactly what I was hoping for, as I've loved it in other Lab confections previously.

Wet on skin, it warms and opens up, so that some of that specific tart-fruity quality of the chocolate note really starts to shine, and I'm very excited about it!

As we hit drydown, the Snake Oil starts to assert itself, but less than it sometimes does when mixed with other notes. Here it's unmistakable in its presence, but Ruby is still definitely the star.

In all, a soft medium throw (but given my personal history of Snake Oil and its variants, I'm betting that will get stronger with some good ol' fashioned aging); a creamy, chocolatey confection that doesn't cross over into legit "foodie" territory because of the SO keeping everything in check.

I anticipate this will become quite beloved

I told myself to wait until this settled, because snake oil. But I couldn’t help it.

the ruby chocolate note shows up right in the wet stage, overtaking that new snake oil scent. I’m pleasantly surprised. I haven’t had the lab’s ruby chocolate note, and it’s like a fruity version of their white chocolate one, which is great news for me, because the white chocolate note gets weird on me.

the creamy fruit aspect of it plays wonderfully with the spice of the snake oil, and it reminds me of a younger sister version of Asp Viper (Snake Oil with King mandarin, myrrh, and almond).

I would love to get a FS to see how this ages.
