Jenjin Report post Posted February 27 (edited) Confidence, sensuality, glamour. Ripe black cherries, velvety red rose, and a flirtatious sparkle of pink pepper glide seamlessly through iris-touched vanilla bean wax. Edited April 15 by Jenjin
ThatThereScentFanatic Report post Posted April 1 Okay this one is very nice. It’s definitely giving cherry candy vibes rather than fresh cherry though. It specifically smells like a very sweet cherry lollipop, which is interesting because sugar isn’t even a note in the list. Maybe the wax is making the cherry more candied? I’m not quite sure. During dry down the rose comes out a little bit so now it smells like a rose coated in a pink cherry sugar. It’s definitely giving me more of a pink vibe than red but YMMV. I don’t smell the pink pepper at all. Quite a pretty scent
frizzlechicken Report post Posted April 6 Vixen Red is wonderful. cherry, velvet rose, and the vanilla bean wax are all there and lovely. As it dries the "lipstick" note I love comes to the forefront, but it's light and springlike as opposed to Black Lipstick which has a heavier note to it (which make no mistake, I LOVE.) Vixen Red is like the warm-weather cousin to that.
becca_s Report post Posted April 9 This is a deep velvety rose and black cherries. As a rose lover, particularly when paired with fruity or vanilla notes, there are no exceptions here and I like this alot. When first applied the cherry note starts out very strong and has an almondy edge but that quickly settles and the Rose peeks out. This gives the impression of a velvety, dark red roses. After this has really settled into my skin the vanilla bean makes an appearance and the result is a beautiful cherry, rose and vanilla scent. I think I may need more of this. doomsday_disco Report post Posted April 15 (edited) This starts off with a burst of black cherry, backed by the rose, and followed by a bit of powdery vanilla. Then, the lipstick accord emerges, and it's the same extremely realistic, creamy, waxy accord from Black Lipstick, only the red ingredients accompanying it here make it evocative of a red lipstick. The iris in here isn't sharp and screechy like it usually is on me, but it definitely becomes more classic iris-infused lipstick with powdery vanilla and less about the other notes after a few hours of wear. I find this to be more wearable than Black Lipstick, but that may be because I'm a cherry ho. But since the cherry is fleeting, I don't feel I need more of this one. But I really appreciate Beth's artistry here. Edited April 15 by doomsday_disco
Cali Report post Posted May 27 Cherry that borders sliiightly on almond in the bottle - but on my skin definately goes more into cherry territory (that difference is small, but important to me lol). A strong red rose, and a touch of very light pink pepper; with indeed a vanilla bean wax at the centerpiece. The cherry on me comes in in wafts, not as strong at all on me as for example in stańczyk. The velvet rose and wax are the strongest notes on me.
roseus Report post Posted June 2 Waxy cherry-vanilla in the imp, reminiscent of flavoured lip balm. Almost candy-like. On my skin the cherry is cough syrupy as expected unfortunately. But on my wife it is a gorgeous juicy cherry-rose combo, with that waxy vanilla base. Really pretty!
KarenWalker Report post Posted July 17 Lots of my favorite notes combined into a lipstick I would love to own and make my signature red. I get everything in different stages. The cherry doesn’t hang around as long as I’d like, but the iris does something special here. The sparkle of pink pepper and vanilla bean wax takes this over the top into something really delightful. My mom happened to be visiting when I had this on one arm and On Marriage on another. She apparently couldn't tell the difference too much, but On Marriage was deemed "very fruity, fruity candy!" and Vixen Red was deemed "red twizzlers...who want to be red vines". At least two of the women from Coyote Ugly would have worn this if they could get rid of their death grip on pale nudes.
