I tried Billie Eilish No 2 on my arm and after about an hour it smells like I Know You're Watching Me, from Caligula Caligari. -
Does anyone else read the tuberose in this more as a gardenia note? Overall: Incredibly soft and pretty-- I would have thought this would be out of character for me, but it's just a real pleasure, and incredibly soft also in the sense that I feel the need to sniff deeply and very close to my arm-- it doesn't exactly fill a room. I can't get enough.

The drydown reminds me of Abandoned Farmhouse atmosphere spray(!).

Does anyone else remember Secret Powder Fresh deodorant from the 80s? That’s here, and some other thing(s) that make it fascinating to me.

This has a “poisonous” quality I didn’t expect. Many scents just say “dessert” to me, which is fine when you’re in the mood… but I really love this! If anyone can think of other BPALs that feel poisonous (& not just ‘cause of their names), let me know!

At first: flowery, soapy bubble bath (reminds me of Zachariah 7:9-10, but with a honeyed facet)… then a sort of “tangy” clove; a little while later, something that reminds me of… nutmeg? caraway seeds? This aspect reminds me of Mr. Fezziwig’s Ball, which I love! A kind of yummy, not-sweet “baking”/bready thing. Hours later: clean laundry!

Dead Leaves, Balsam, Olibanum, and Tonka Bean

Reminds me of olives for some reason. I don't know what balsam or tonka smell like by themselves. -
Just got this, here are my notes: Similar to other Dead Leaves I've tried (DL Red Wine & Black Oudh; DL Balsam Olibanum and Tonka), but… A little sweeter? Not desserty, though. I'm smelling something like celery and pumpkin! Maybe other "savory" cooking herbs/spices... like cumin? Definitely reminds me of autumnal cooking smells! Like cooking a fancy soup(?)
