  1. @Lucchesa After the most horrific day at work, I came home and opened your wonderful package!  You saved the day with your wonderful tea towels and art print.  Look how beautiful my squirrels are.  I love them so much!  And you know I prefer functional art.  This is just perfect.  And the print-wow you are so talented.  He will find a place of honor on my wall.

If that wasn't enough, tea, coffee and a wishlist partial of Dead Leaves and Red Carnations.  You are truly the best!  Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

  2. For wolves or husky dogs, black, white and grey or for something more fun blue, black, purple, and grey.  Actually those colors would be nice for lots of animals.  Also greens, I love green.

I am watching you tube, practicing and ordering supplies.  Very productive day.  If I get good at this, they will be holiday gifts next year too.

I think checking in could be sweet, but  I also don't want to make it burdensome on folks with limited capacity.  I'll will think on this and try to pull something together in September.

Oh definitely, I didn't mean to imply the check ins were mandatory, just if people felt like it.

(first - twilighteyes, your mailing list is the greatest! and yay Switch Witch!)

Would anyone be interested in something like a Comfort Care Package swap later this fall (I'm thinking late september so it's pre-holiday stress season)?

I feel like there are a lot of us with health issues or chronic pain around.  I personally am really frigging sick of shopping for my own issues (if I see another wrist brace, I will scream).  I would have way more fun shopping to make a care package for someone else.  I'm leaning towards something like 2-4 "comfort objects" (think fancy ice packs, pretty K Tape, pain relieving lotions, compression gloves, etc) plus 1 or 2 items just to brighten your person's day (pretty stationary, an easy care plant, good chocolate, etc).  Packages on the small side because 1. health/pain stuff is stupidly expensive and 2. fewer choices = lower effort, which would theoretically make it easier for people who aren't doing well to participate.

YES   1 million percent.  I am a chronic pain sufferer too and I can use suggestions.  I sometimes run out of ideas on making things easier for myself.  I would also love to share the things I have discovered that work.  It would be lovely to have the support of others that are in the same club.  Maybe we could keep checking in on each other  as well.

Would anyone be interested in a lighting round of something small and finite for end of summer/back to school? For my lighting rounds, I just draw names, no attempts at close matching.

I'm itchy for something and have maybe just enough capacity to manage 15 participants who solemnly swear they will make good.

    Yes!

you would be much missed, but take care of yourself!

Yes, it totally won't be the same!  I would love to do a nice Halloween Switch Witch too!  I have run some smaller swaps but don't think I'd have the ability to do one so big though.  I am willing to help out however.
