icecreamcone Report post Posted March 27 Behold! A honey perfume for those of us that generally can’t wear Bpal honey scents! I have a 95% fail rate with Bpal’s honey note so I’m not sure why I purchased a bunch of fullsizes from the Honey Pot release. I think all the notes just sounded good and thankfully my gamble paid off because every bottle ordered smells amazing. Honey, Raspberry Jam, & Buttercream is the first one I’m skin testing from this collection though! First applied to skin it’s straight up raspberry syrup with honey in the background. This is a sugary honey, not screechy or overpowering. My first thought was to slather since I had a feeling I was going to wand-cap and keep her! Within a matter of minutes the raspberry syrup calmed down and the buttercream and honey were stepping up and becoming key players too. Unf, let me tell you I sniffed my arms alllll day today. At some point magic happened and it smelled like sugary raspberry buttercream. If I could find a cake shop with buttercream like this - I’d never order any other frosting. Drool worthy! I’m for sure getting a backup bottle. It’s been over eight hours since application and I can still smell the sugary goodness on my skin when I sniff my wrists. LavenderCoffee Report post Posted April 27 this is golden and gorgeous and perfect. a bright, warm honey with bold ruby facets of raspberry and a whisk of sugary buttercream. honestly the buttercream is not super prominent for me but it adds a lovely bakeshop vibe. I already love honey so I didn't really need to be sold on this, and I'm also glad it's not crushingly sweet. a gourmand I can endorse! and slather copiously! galahad Report post Posted May 7 In the Bottle: Raspberry, darker than normal but with more of a tart bite so this is the jammy aspect. A basenof general sweetness. On the Skin: the raspberry in this is so good. It's definitely jam. No honey to speak of but the buttercream, while very present, isn't overpowering. Honey does peak out occasionally, and it's not a light honey. On the extreme drydown, this smells like milk chocolate and Raspberry. Love it. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

divadienst Report post Posted June 29 i try to let things rest for a little while after they've arrived with the post but i was too tempted by this one when i'd heard such great things and have quite recently discovered i enjoy gourmands, and had to try it on the first day. anyone from the uk will be able to envision (or the olfactory version of envision...) exactly what i mean if i say that in the bottle, and for the first hour or so, for me this smells exactly like jammie dodgers. it is, as others have said, definitely a sweet raspberry jam; and it has a grainy quality (i think from the buttercream) that must be what's reminding me of the biscuit. for that first period i was thinking: this is fun in its way, but do i want to smell like a jammie dodger? i enjoy the sensory experience of trying new scents, but ultimately my favourites, and the ones i want to wear, are the ones that i feel reflect part of my character: am i a jammie dodger? - i don't think i am. after about an hour, however, it settles down and, though it fades to become a bit closer to the skin, becomes 'pretty' rather than just 'tasty', and this was something much more like what i would conceivably wear. i like the lab's honey note but sometimes it is quite faint on me; here, however, the three elements were perfectly balanced and i found it more noticeable. on me it lasts about six hours. i got 2ml in my decant, and i'm glad i ended up with a little more than usual because i will push past the jammie dodger phase and use it all up. i spilt a little bit on my desk one day and now whenever i do my ironing the wood heats up through the pressing cloth and my room starts to smell of it again. melandie Report post Posted August 5 Oh I love this! I usually can't pass up a "buttercream" scent, but sometimes raspberry goes a little too tart on me. This one...well, the raspberry jam note reminds me of my grandma's from her own raspberry patch (and oh, how I fondly remember her constantly chasing the squirrels out of that patch), the honey is beautiful, and the buttercream rounds it out to soften it up and make it more..buttery...and creamy.
