Well. This is gorgeous. The amber is deep and smooth and reminiscent of the black amber in the black amber and sugar cane duet from a couple years ago. the lime blossom gives it just a touch of something extra - a hint of lime and the sweetest of a citrus blossom. 10/10

Sniffed: crisp, slightly pithy lime rind, sugar, lime candy, and amber in distinct bands, no blending. There's an initial moment where I can't see how it's going to work together, but I take the plunge.

 

First swipe: wow. This is a deliriously perfumed petit-four straight from the confectioner's case, with glossy white fondant topped with delicate curl of crystallized lime. It smells too pretty to eat and nothing like a resin.

 

Wearing: the cake note gradually softens, deepens, melts into a rich amber puddle. It's a perfect ombré fade from lime to sugar to dark, treacle-y amber. 

 

Damnit, damnit. I didn't need yet another bottle of an amber duet (looking at Amber and Grey Musk), but apparently I do.

This went from "ah, maybe this has the tartness I was looking for in the Yuzu/Honey duet" to "overpowering cologne/bathroom cleaner" on my skin. Pass.

This is really pretty. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do as I generally prefer my citrus not to be unadulterated with things like florals and resins. This reads as a candied lime with some deep amber on me, with the amber overtaking the lime after a while, but the lime never fading away. There's nothing about this that really screams blossom to me like the somewhat soapy lemon blossom of Fleur de Citronnier Hair Gloss.

 

I'm going to have to give this a full day of wear to determine if I need more than my decant, but I think there's a definite possibility that the decant will not be enough. I also want to try layering it with its moon (which I still need to blind bottle in my next order).

Really really pretty. My experience is most in line with @doomsday_disco with candied lime and deep amber. Strangely addicting and has that little something special that makes me realize I don't have anything like it. Very likely full bottle candidate.
