Fruit-Chouli, Vanilla-chouli, Candy-chouli, Sweet-chouli???

Hello beautiful people. I fantasise about perfume in between packing moving boxes… and as I sniff my collection, I’m struck by how much I love SWEET Patchouli and how shamefully little of it I have in my Oil perfume collection. 
 

For frame of reference: I’m positively Gaga over Mugler Alien (the ORIGINAL 2000s formula. RIP gorgeous cotton candy wood-bomb),

and from BPAL: silky bat, Lydia, Luperci and Goth Queen. Are there any other sweet-choulis I can get my grubby little paws upon?  *Preferably* BPAL (but doesn’t have to be, i guess? Is that illegal…)

You might also enjoy some of the Snake Pit collection, like Asp Viper (Snake Oil with King mandarin, myrrh, and almond); Coral Snake (Snake Oil with blood orange, blood apple, lemon peel, plumeria, and red gardenia); the beautiful Cottonmouth (Snake Oil with blood orange, blood apple, lemon peel, plumeria, and red gardenia); and of course Boomslang (Snake Oil with cocoa, teakwood, and rice milk).

Oh, Ughhh wild strawberry and patchouli looks incredible 😭😭😭 gutted it’s no longer available. Feed me & fill me plus Goblin and Tricksy….. those are allll on my decant list now ehehe :3 thank you for those wonderful recommendations!!

You’re so very welcome! There’s been so many fantastic ones over the years, it’s hard to pick just a few! The wild strawberries one is gorgeous, sorry for recommending htf things but the BPAL universe will never let you down, they will find you 🙂

 

The other option is to get hold of the BPAL patchouli single notes – to me, the Sumatran Red Patchouli SN is warm and rich and snuggly, and the East African Black Patchouli SN is more punchy and sharp – and layer them with your favourite fruity or sweet BPALs. A combo that I particularly love is the Red Patchouli SN + Tamora… it creates a gorgeous sweet peachy patch!

Schrödinger’s Checkmark (airy, sticky marshmallow fluff, oily benzoin, and blackened, slick patchouli) & A Portrait (a cluster of sugared carnations with strawberry juice, sweet patchouli, and lush red labdanum) are a couple I enjoy. 

Nocturne Alchemy generally has some sweet patchouli scents in their seasonal releases (probably something in the GC, I just don’t know it), but my skin isn’t super fond of their patchouli for some reason.

Seconding Schrödinger’s Checkmark! I also quite like the caramel patchouli hg and chocolate patch hg. 

 

Revenant Rhythm is pretty great as well, especially if you like Mugler Alien and Lolita Lempicka. 

 

Hexennacht's black mass, waking the witch, and witchboard might be worth a try.

 

I am a big fan of sweet patchouli's, and patch and vetiver scents. There a few Bloodmilk BPAL collaboration scents that pique my interest but I find it sometimes difficult to find samples. Silkybat is probably what is consider technically the perfect most best sweet patchouli for any occasion though.

 

The Halloween collections and yules often have some patchouli sweet scents.

My GC faves are Depraved and Goblin.  I have lots of scents in this category -- currently wearing Startled Toad from 2015 -- yum!!!
