This smells very vintage! It definitely evokes an ancient cosmetic. On application I can pick out the oud, rosewater and vegetable waxes. As it begins to dry down the floral (narcissus?) waxy notes remain, in a good way. It gently fades to just a light wax scent. I'm gonna say something weird, but if you like the smell of a fresh box of famous-brand crayons (and I do) this is giving that as well. Lovely and very, very interesting scent.

This reminds me a little bit of Bronze Dildo, even though there are no notes in common, just by the virtue of somehow smelling truly ancient and/or archaeological, thanks to the metallic components and natural wax. But it's also a perfect backdrop for the narcissus/rosewater/oud. I love narcissus anyway but this is such a striking composition. The dates don't stand out much to me and it's a pretty oud, don't be scared!

[Biocarbons]

Wet, this was artificial mixed fruit flavor narcissus and wax, but after it settled, I got an interesting vintage blend of narcissus and rosewater with a nutty date note and a mineralic quality.

[Follow My Nose]

In bottle and wet on skin: the wax lipstick accord is present right away and I can’t believe how accurate it is! Also picking up light florals and something reading citrusy to me?

 

Drydown: mineralic notes quickly join the party, this is so unique and definitely something new for my collection; my nose does not recognize all of the subtle notes I’m getting, the dates and oud don’t jump out at me, but this is really enjoyable with that waxy lipstick accord underneath it all

 

Fully dry: All of the notes blend smoothly together once it’s dry and there’s a subtle powdery overlay (there’s a powder compact in this makeup cabinet); the best description I can give is bullet lipstick with floral-scented face powder, crushed minerals, and something vaguely citrus-like

 

This reminds me of opening up my grandmother’s mirrored bathroom cabinet when I was a kid. All of the scented cosmetics mixing together and lightly wafting out, it’s a special smell that I had mostly forgotten until I wore this perfume. Nostalgic, unique, and lovely!
