roseus Report post Posted January 17 Delicious honeyed vanilla cream, with the pumpkin coming out a bit more as it wears.
melandie Report post Posted February 11 2025 Version! (I've never tried the earlier one) Fresh out of the mail, this one kind of confused me - I couldn't really pick out any notes, except the honey seemed a tad "screechy", as honey tends to do on me sometimes. But last night, after having it for about a month, I put this on before bed, and suddenly, I *got it: Like others, I don't really get much pumpkin at first, but it's lurking in the background, grounding the sweet vanilla-amber experience. I imagine this will only age beautifully.
elinox Report post Posted March 11 2025 Version First Sniff: Honeyed, sugary sweet vanilla, yay! Initial Wet Application: Some smoke peaks through, but the honeyed vanilla is still the main player. Dry Down (first 15 minutes): As this dries, it actually has some throw! So far though, it's just sweet honey and, unfortunately, the vanilla is gone. My Reaction: Unfortunately, after this completed the dry down, it lost its throw and was only a very light, sweet honey. Where did my creamy vanilla go?!? amoray Report post Posted April 12 2025 version I've also tried the hair gloss. Wow wow wow the throw on this is VAST. One tiny little drop and I smell a mile away. And my god I smell like creamed honey. I think I get a bit more vanilla than I get in the hair gloss. There is also the smoked aspect in the background. I don't get any pumpkin. This might be one of the strongest scents I have. I do really well with the lab's honey notes though so this gonna get some wear.
divadienst Report post Posted 5 hours ago if i'd have been asked to imagine what a scent called the witches might have smelt like, i would have thought of something quite different to this; i should have imagined something much darker with fires, cauldrons, and the rest in the way of macbeth's witches. but if these are witches, they are decidedly good witches, à la kiki's delivery service or the fairies in the disney sleeping beauty. the smell of their kitchen and happy times there; baking on a sunny day with the door open to the garden. the way it all plays out is similar to the way others have described: a lot of vanilla, which remains dominant throughout, with the pumpkin coming forward a bit more later. i don't get much honey, though a different kind of sweetness does emerge after a few hours. a good throw, but without being overwhelming because the overall blend is so gentle and soft. i shall have to snag a bottle while it's still available!
