Recommendations- Spicy florals

Hi everyone! I was hoping for some recommendations for a friend based on some favorites of hers listed below. Not really looking for dupes, more looking to show her how much more fun the indie perfume world is ❤️ 

Her current favorites are:

I'm not familiar with the perfumes mentioned but I'd recommend these spicy florals from The Eternal Collection:

 

Morocco (Arabian spices wind through a blend of warm musk, carnation, red sandalwood and cassia)

Mouse's Lond and Sad Tale (Vanilla, two ambers, sweet pea and white sandalwood)

Vixen (The innocence of orange blossom tainted by the beguiling scents of ginger and patchouli)

I took a minute to look up those scents, and based on "spicy floral" and the notes I saw there (white florals including jasmine and magnolia blossom, citrus and other fruity notes, light musks and ambers and woods, some fresh water/aquatic notes), I'm going to come up with a list of some scents in the Eternal Collection that could be a good starting place. These are great for an intro because you can cover more ground with imps.

 

- Aizen-Myoo (Excoĺo): Yuzu, kaki, and mikan with cherry blossom and black tea. [My Notes: I'm personally fond of this one, citrus and light florals tempered by tea.]

- Amsterdam (Wanderlust): Tulips, peony, fresh flowing water and crisp green grasses. [My Notes: lots of bright, fresh florals, might be a little too green.]

- Ave Maria Gratia Plena (Ars Amatoria): Rosewood with Sicilian lemon peel, red Mysore sandalwood, pale musks, sweet mountain sage and a dusting of lily, night-blooming jasmine and orris. [My Notes: This seems quite in line with the note vibes of the second and third ones you listed her liking.]

- Baobhan Sith (Diabolus): Grapefruit, white tea, apple blossom and ginger. [My Notes: A little lighter than Aizen-Myoo, but a hint more spice with the ginger.]

- Brisingamen (Ars Amatoria): five ambers, soft myrtle, apple blossom and carnation. [My Notes: has some of those amber plus floral notes that might match based on current favorites.]

- Daiyu (Carnaval Diabolique): Moroccan jasmine, chrysanthemum, tea leaf, white musk, and acai berry. [My Notes: this has some really good vibes/notes overlap from what I'm seeing.]

- Endymion (Ars Amatoria): A sweet, wistful blend of d’Anjou pear, Lily of the Valley, bois du rose and white musk. [My Notes: this has a pear plus white florals thing going on.]

- High Strung Daisies (Mad Tea Party): Daisy, pink carnation, pink pepper, and sugar. [My Notes: sweet spicy florals seems like it has potential.]

- Juliet (Illyria): Sweet pea with stargazer lily, calla lily, heliotrope, honeysuckle, white musk and a touch of fresh pear. [My Notes: this is the the first thing that came to mind actually.]

- Kitsune-Tsuki (Diabolus): Asian plum, orchid, daffodil, jasmine and white musk. [My Notes: Fruits plus white florals plus light musk.]

- Kyoto (Wanderlust): A gentle, soothing blend of cherry blossom, white sandalwood and star anise. [My Notes: fits the bill pretty well, but you might want to double check how she feels about anise/licorice if you don't already know as I know it can be divisive.]

- Morgause (Bewitching Brews): A bouquet of five night-blooming flowers deepened by dusky violet, purple fruits and the barest breath of medieval incenses. [My Notes: might be a little deeper/darker than her taste runs, but it's definitely spicy florals.]

- Night-Gaunt (A Picnic in Arkham): yuzu, white grapefruit, and kumquat mixed with the snow-dusted flowers... [My Notes: another personal favorite that seems in line with things she would like, very much a white flowers and citrus scent.]

- Prague (Wanderlust): Crocus with snowdrop and three lilies. [My Notes: another personal favorite, bright fruity white florals.]

- Seraphim (Sin and Salvation): Calla lily, wisteria, white sandalwood, Damascus rose and frankincense. [My Notes: possibly too resinous, but the white floral plus sandalwood elements seemed like it was worth mentioning.]

- The Lady of Shalott (Ars Amatoria): The scent of calm waters just before a raging storm, limned with achingly-beautiful blooms, an icy scent, but somehow warm, and mirror-bright: bold gardenia, crystalline musk, muguet, water blossoms, clear, slightly tart aquatic notes and a crush of white ginger. [My Notes: this was another one that seemed to match the vibes of ones she liked well.]

- Vasilissa (Märchen): Creamy skin musk and blushing pink musk with soft sandalwood, white amber, dutiful myrrh, and star jasmine. [My Notes: lots of overlap notes with things she liked.]

 

I ended up just going alphabetically, but am happy to try to help narrow it down. More info that could be helpful: more examples of what she likes, and what she likes about them. I found that spicy florals wasn't hugely overlapping with the descriptions I could find of the perfumes that she likes, so I tried to cover both options. I also have not used all of the perfumes I listed (I am allergic to many things), so some of my guesses here are very second hand.

i think it might depend a lot on your friend's skin chemistry and it's been discontinued, but moscow from the wanderlust series might be a good one if you can manage to get hold of it: 'A rich, bold blend of imperial rose, carnation, lush jasmine, lily of the valley, dark musk, amber, bergamot and gilded tangerine.' apart from rose, which i love, i don't have much experience with florals so far, but was really looking forward to trying it because of my own connections with moscow. however, on me the dominant notes turned out to be the tangerine and the carnation, and for my own preferences it was too sharp; but for someone who likes that kind of thing, it would be perfect!

these three are impable now:

A-Rovin - A perfume for mistresses and masters of a very specific trade: sultry red musk, heady jasmine, tobacco leaf, red sandalwood, hay sugar, golden honey, sweet carnations, and warm leather.

The Grindhouse - Florentine iris, red musk, mimosa, magnolia, Damascus rose, clove, and vanilla bean.

Inez - Golden amber, vanilla musk, myrrh, cedar, carnation, and red sandalwood.

 

and these are not:

Eve - Her scent is one that travels through the eons: the Irish moss, yarrow, and hawthorn of the Iron Age Britons, ancient Rome’s omphacium and honey, myrrh and calamus from Egypt, the frankincense and damask roses of the Florentine Renaissance, white sandalwood from the Far East, Moroccan saffron and rose water, and a swirl of incense from the souks.

Hal - Saffron-infused bourbon vanilla, blackened honey, Kashmir wood, Atlas cedar, ambrette seed, hay, and Egyptian jasmine absolute.

On Imagination - The unbounded soul: a vibrant, airy, uplifted amber with smoked vanilla and coconut, tuberose, orange blossom, wildflower honey, and sheer musk.

Also one last non-impable one that came to mind is Night-Scented Orchid (one of my very favorites,  for charity, and one of the most lovely jasmines I've found).
