doomsday_disco Report post Posted June 29 (edited) A summer-scorched, lightly spicy cluster of sun-touched heliotrope petals. Eternity is in love with the productions of time. – William Blake, Proverbs of Hell In 2024 we introduced a Midnight Marzipan fragrance to welcome the longest night of the year. To mark this year’s longest day, we’ve concocted this companion: a summer-scorched, lightly spicy cluster of sun-touched heliotrope petals. Minh Scent Report post Posted July 12 At first I get a wave of aldehydes (reminded me of Lilith Closet Raid) and an almost champagne sparkle with the heliotrope powdery glory stepping up immediately. My nose does pick up the "light spiciness" , but cannot discern which spice. If you love classic perfumes with a modern twist, you probably will appreciate this. I got this for the heliotrope note and am not disappointed. Low projection, medium longevity with swoon period the first 30 minutes.
Zaani Report post Posted July 30 Super warm and pretty! I forget what heliotrope smells like, but it's not a "flowery" perfume. The spices smell like cinnamon and allspice to me. I can't tell what it's backed with, but it has a sandy desert kind of warmth. Very atmospheric.
Leopard403 Report post Posted Monday at 04:06 AM I’ve realized I know nothing about heliotrope. Online descriptions mention notes of vanilla, cinnamon, marzipan, and cherry pie. To me, it smells zingy the way citrus does, with a hint of spice. Every year of my life, my mom has bought a mix of autumn-colored mums and put them in a planter by the front door, and this heliotrope blend smells the way I wanted them to smell.
