doomsday_disco Report post Posted December 23, 2025 Liberty, luminous and unafraid, bright with conviction, guided by idealism and steadied by resolve. A scent that is clear, exalted, and alive with purpose: olive leaf, pale amber, joyous neroli, polished brass, feathery vanilla chiffon, and spicy carnation. MoonRayne Report post Posted February 11 Gorgeous. This is one of those glowing, resinous scents that stays close to the skin. All the notes are balanced and behaved. The neroli and vanilla add a floral sweetness that enhances the amber without going soapy or screechy or too floral. Liberty may be one of my favorite BPALs. badseed1980 Report post Posted February 17 I got this with a gift card my awesome manager gave me for the holidays. Every single note in this appealed to me. The neroli pops out the most for me, which I love. As time goes on, the other notes come out to play more, with the amber and vanilla particularly adding warmth and richness and the brass note like a high, clear shine over it. This is an absolutely glorious scent for the time of year when the light is getting stronger but it's still chilly.
Assimbya Report post Posted February 20 This is very much neroli and vanilla on me. I get hints of the other notes - a soft, not particularly spicy carnation; a smooth base note which I think must be a combination of the the brass and amber; and on, dry down, some pretty olive quality - but much more neroli and vanilla than anything else throughout wear. The combination skews more gourmand than I would have expected, reminding me of a creamy orange blossom ice cream I once bought myself for my birthday. I loved eating that ice cream, but I don't actually know that I want to smell like it! I would have liked something a little weirder and more atmospheric from this, with the brass and olive leaf more prominent. But as it is I think it will appeal to many people who prefer that more gourmand sensibility. I'll have to spend some more time with my decant to decide whether I want to keep it around. theseagrows Report post Posted 1 hour ago this opens with a dusky neroli and olive leaf…maybe a hint of the polished brass. this reminds me of one of the earliest BPAL scents i tried 20 years ago (can't remember which one), and i am really liking it. instead of a bright fresh neroli, this is a darker one. it stays pretty linear on me-i don't sense vanilla or carnation, though there is a dusky amber in the background. so pretty!
