doomsday_disco Report post Posted December 22, 2025 Now this is the Law of the Jungle — as old and as true as the sky; And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the Wolf that shall break it must die. As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk the Law runneth forward and back — For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack. – Rudyard Kipling A scent for strength through solidarity against the encroaching horrors of authoritarianism. Silvered fir, life-giving soil and immovable stone, black sage, rue, hellebore accord, winter moss, cypress, fossilized amber resin, and vetiver. May the thundering chorus of our voices — entwined, rising, unbreakable — scatter the darkness.
Frills Report post Posted January 10 Fresh on it smells just like a really good gin. As it mellows it turns into a beautiful amber with a touch of fir and sage. I'm so going to wear this hiking.
AnOfferingToTheNight Report post Posted January 24 If you want to walk around your usual places but be mentally in a beautiful, powerful old-growth forest then this is for you. This blend brings to mind a movie scene where a knight is walking through giant trees past a circle of large stones covered in moss in unnatural patterns with their sword vibrating their side. At least, it does for me. I know that's not exactly a helpful description, but there you go. This was a huge win for me as I am not at all familiar with any of these notes on their own as I typically do not buy them--that is going to change now for sure! A new favorite. LavenderCoffee Report post Posted February 12 fresh on this is all bracing fir and damp soil, like a megaphone in your face saying "yep you are really IN the woods!" but of course the wet phase gives way to more nuance. there's a pleasant chill to the composition, a gorgeous boreal chorus of greeny blue black tones with silver accents. the amber and grey musk duet smells positively soft and sweet by comparison, and serves to round off the spiky edges of evergreen boughs very nicely. reasonsays Report post Posted 14 hours ago Oh, this is phenomenal. Much as I love conifer scents, they tend to overwhelm other notes for me, so I was a little nervous about this one because what I really wanted was the soil and stone. Oddly - and a little sadly - I can't really smell the fir or cypress at all! I mostly get damp soil, then cold stone, then an assortment of dark and green herbs. It's smooth and deep and slightly unnerving in a truly captivating way, and even though I wish I could pick up a little of the fir and cypress, I'll deal for the sake of smelling everything else.
