Yellow Snowballs Lotion

Recommended Posts

White mint, the Lab's icy slush note, and citrus! I don't get the vanilla cream at all - I wish I did, because that would add some sweetness. But I do like it - it's crisp and refreshing, and wintry in a snow-and-citrus way (you know how oranges are associated with Christmas, and also lemon drops, and maybe citrus-y gumdrops? it's like that, with snow-slush) - so it's kind of a nice change from the usual peppermint or cinnamon or gourmand types.

My bottle label has a misprint, just fyi for any others out there - the art and name on the front is right, and the scent is right, for Yellow Snowballs, but the description section on the side talks about a blood-red voluptuous rose! (Might be Peacock Queen?)

This smells like I opened a window in the morning after it snowed and the breeze was a tart citrus swirl glittering with icy crystals. Lovely.

I bought this lotion purely for the yuzu note (I'm a chaser for sure), but I'm happy to say that I'm a fan of the slushy, minty notes as well. I have to agree with spendidissima that I don't really get the vanilla cream, but I'm wondering if that is what's keeping this in the crisp rather than sharp realm. Regardless, I like that it's not too sweet, but if that is something you want I imagine that there is plenty you could layer with this that would work wonderfully.

On the lotion formula itself, I love that it doesn't leave me feeling greasy at all--it absorbs nicely. The scent lingered for about 3 hours for me with not a whole lot of transformation over time.
