doomsday_disco Report post Posted October 23, 2025 Volatile, earthy, and defiant: dusty leather, tobacco leaf, clove bud, green patchouli, and black pepper. Honoré Daumier
Roogna Report post Posted December 13, 2025 huh, I open the decant get a lovely brown leather and something that's almost but not quite Vicks. maybe minty? mothballs? I am unable to place this scent, but it is the dominant scent on my skin, which wears like a cloud sniffing my wrist up close I get sour leather and clover. It mellows some as it wears and even turns a bit dusty/powdery, but I do not notice it without the close sniff.
RoseThornAndOak Report post Posted Monday at 02:27 AM Ooooo, this is similar to the patchoulis in Goblin and Die Peste Auf Der Treppe, the almost sweet, gooey type I can get down with. The leather is similar to the soft brown leather in blends like Rogue, the Mountebank, and John Locke. The clove, pepper, and tobacco brighten in a nice way without smelling foody or smoky. Heckedy heck yeah.
bheansidhe Report post Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Wet: rooty, pugnacious, herb-y, and peppery; the jostle of many leather boots stomping down a 19th-century street lined with sun-warmed brick and broomstraw (neither of which is a listed note, but nonetheless crowd into my nose's olfactory auditorium with the rest of the jostling crowd). But while the notes roar, the volume is bearable. The clove, surprisingly, is muted, and the green patchouli (maybe?) reads more as a dried ground ginger root. With wear: the tobacco and leather notes emerge, giving the blend a surprising brash but charming bad-boy vibe twinned with sorcerous patchouli root. Honestly, if I were blind sniffing, I'd think it was a Walpurgisnacht-themed collab. It's got quiet oomph. Edited 4 hours ago by bheansidhe
