doomsday_disco Report post Posted October 23 The perfect accompaniment for our Halloween fragrances. A lovely autumnal layering scent.
Amoraexcena Report post Posted October 23 This is my first BPAL lotion and it's a lovely texture, a creamy whipped formulation that sinks into my skin well without any stickiness. While the lotion sinks in fast, the scent remains strong and true. The pump bottle is easy to use. The scent is autumn leaves first and foremost - dry fall leaves still retaining all their vibrancy. The scent is quite complex and different from the dead leaves note - there's no decay or dead-ness here. This note is very sophisticated and something I imagine an elder green witch would wear to a formal fall dinner event with fae forest leadership, not an everyday cozy, dirt-under-your-nails scent. I do believe it's the same note from Autumn Overlooked my Knitting. The incense comes next, and it's a gentle support to the autumn leaves. I can't actually detect the musk. I've been layering this with the Vanilla & Tobacco Flower duet and it's quite lovely. I'll be adding sweeter vanillas, ambers, and musks on top of this lotion and probably won't wear it alone - it's a layering scent as Beth intended! There are a LOT of layering options I want to try out. This lotion definitely adds +10 vibes points for my dog walks down colourful deciduous-tree-lined streets in the fall. Ennikar Report post Posted December 18 As a lotion: nice work, thick for a lotion but not so think that it's difficult to apply or sits on the skin, notably softened the hands after use. As a scent: hm. It's quite light. Honestly not all that different from how I would expect hands to smell after being washed and lotion-ed; the combined notes feel quite clean. However, there is a little bit of something there -- a touch of incense, a breath of the outdoors, sweet and fuzzy. Agree with the above that it's not a dirty or decaying scent even while retaining a little cool outdoorsy character. Basically no throw, so I do not expect it to interfere much with a layered scent. However, if I had done more than a drop on my hand, that might be different.
asterope Report post Posted Tuesday at 10:16 PM A very beautiful and delicate scent. The incense and musk are the main players for me, I would guess almost a Grey musk. I do not get much of the leaf note, and can say it definitely is sans dead leaves. I think it's quite lovely, but a bit too pretty for me. It does layer wonderful with incense scents and is a softer scented lotion.
