doomsday_disco Report post Posted October 1 There is a recurrent spot where the pattern lolls like a broken neck and two bulbous eyes stare at you upside-down. I get positively angry with the impertinence of it and the everlastingness. Up and down and sideways they crawl, and those absurd, unblinking eyes are everywhere. There is one place where two breadths didn’t match, and the eyes go all up and down the line, one a little higher than the other. Indolic jasmine glaring through a haze of tobacco yellow and stained lace.
Invidiana Report post Posted Sunday at 02:11 AM This is heady, indolic jasmine in full bloom, with an intensity that reflects the glare of eyes watching you from every direction. Jasmine unfurls its petals right away. Over time, the indole softens and gives way to gauzy tobacco and vanillic lace, though it still remains an intoxicating white floral dominated by jasmine. A Recurrent Spot, like the story it is inspired by, is beautifully intense but definitely not for the faint-hearted.
