amoray Report post Posted July 13 Wow this has STRONG throw. It smells like caramelized pipe tobacco. It's a very sticky tobacco.
abejita Report post Posted July 17 I agree with the reviewer above, this one does have a strong caramel note to it. It's a caramel and dark vanilla kind of tobacco, smooth and sweet. Strong throw. I have French Tobacco SN, and while it's lovely, I think I like Sweet Tabac even better. It's sweeter and a bit smoother to my nose.
SmellsPrettyGood2Me Report post Posted July 26 (edited) Chewy, punchy, molasses is the first thing to hit my nose from the bottle. Why do I all of a sudden want an oatmeal cookie? There's whiff of raisin somewhere in there that I can't stop smelling. That warm sweetness translates when applied to skin and really unfurls a cloak of scent that is not shy. After about 10 minutes the tobacco finally peeks out and gets bolder, slightly tannic and a bit earthy. Is there a tiny hint of a leaf note in here? Maybe more than a hint? An hour in there is more maple than molasses, and I've found bliss. This is terrific on it's own and also really inspires combinations with maybe teak, or vanilla. Glad to see it is back in stock as it's dreamy!! Edited July 26 by SmellsPrettyGood2Me Typo
wilhelmscream Report post Posted August 14 In the bottle... Oof! Thank goodness I was sitting down when I smelled this, or I think it would've knocked me flat! It is an incredibly strong, sticky, thick sweetness shellacked over that tobacco note. On the skin... I have to agree with some of the other reviews here; something very maple/molasses/woody about it. Like sap. Sticky sap on a pile of loose tobacco. This one really takes it's time to get to a place where I can get into it. I think after about 20 minutes on the skin, it gets to a place where it settles down and the tobacco peeks through that sweet, sticky coating. Interesting, but overall, I don't think this is my jam.
