topazphoenix Report post Posted July 4 This idea stole my heart because I love fig and honey notes. Unfortunately the lotion needs some tweaking. It's a pump bottle, but the formula is thick, melty, and semi solid. lt should be in a jar, not a pump bottle! I couldn't manage to pump any lotion at all. I had to take the top off. The lotion itself is verrrry faint. The formula is luxurious on my skin, but that's the only upside. This pump bottle is not it. BPAL, please consider putting the lotion in jars, or a better container, in the future. That is the only way I can see myself buying it again.
carrioncupid Report post Posted August 9 i got mine as a sample from arae decantery, it came in a little screw top flat jar which is very convenient! as for the scent it's very faint, but it's strong enough to notice, and it lingers very quietly when applied to my hands. it's a little sour for my taste, honey and sandalwood aren't really my favorite notes. but my mom loves it so i'm considering buying more just for her. the formula itself i'm a huge fan of! it's very thick, and a little goes a very long way. i have had life long sensory issues and i always hated applying lotion to my hands because the greasy after feel was always incredibly unbearable to me, but there's none of that here! it moisturizes my hands very well, and it sinks in quickly without leaving any greasy residue behind. the moisturization lasts for quite a while, and even after a shower it's still present, albeit not as much. but i'm very happy to apply some more post shower. i can see this getting a lot of use in the brutal winters here, and i'm very excited to see what other lotion scents the lab is cooking up
Poenari Report post Posted Thursday at 02:13 PM I love these notes and wanted to give the new lotions a second chance. As stated above, the scent is not as strong as I had expected... certainly nowhere close to the strength of my Garnet lotion! But the texture and consistency is the same. This scent goes very well with a wide variety of scents that I like to wear in the summer. So far my favorite combo is to wear it with Hetairae, but I'm also enjoying Snakes In the Coconut Cake with it. The pros: wonderful thick texture that soaks right in without leaving me greasy, but feeling hydrated and moisturized. Lovely scent that layers well without overpowering my perfume and increases my perfume's longevity. The cons: as others have said, this packaging ain't it. So sorry, but I've tried two of the new lotions now in their original bottles, and it's impossible to dispense the lotion with a pump or from the bottle. I have to remove the lid and slap my bottle upside down against the sink to get the lotion out. I really don't want to see the lotion more liquefied.. the thickness is a real Plus. But this needs to be in a jar, for sure. I want to be able to reach in with an applicator to scoop out what I need. And for this price point, I would not repurchase unless the lotion is in a jar. I am currently fiddling with a long thin spatula to scoop it out of the container, but know that product will be wasted in the bottom. 😭
Mufasa Report post Posted 1 hour ago I think the texture of the lotion is really fantastic in comparison to others, the thickness, how quick it absorbs into the skin without feeling greasy and how soft your hands feel afterwards is all wayyy better than other lotions I’ve tried. I don’t know if maybe my bottle is different but I don’t have any issues with the pump, I’ve been using the past few days and it’s worked well each time there’s no difficulty getting it out for me. If I was nitpicking I would say it dispenses in pretty small amounts but honestly it’s such a thick formula I don’t really think you need that much in one go. The smell is great too, it’s a little on the light side and the fig is wayyy more prominent and there’s a creamy note to it as well, kind of like the dry down of milk moon so just sweet figgy creamy without the sour dairy initial whiff that you get out of milk moon.
