bheansidhe Report post Posted April 29 This is a cold white floral AND a sweet incense smoke AND a spicy clove-blackened lavender at the same time, all bottled up in orris root soap like a trio of baffled genii. It's clean skin, but also a clouded smudge of myrrh. The clove never dominates, but lends a spicy quality to the floral notes. The lavender is astringent and herbal, but also mild. This winds up smelling like a really, really expensive French soap on me.
doomsday_disco Report post Posted April 30 This one really didn't jive with me. I don't know exactly what is causing it, but this is a sweet sort of floral scent that verges on being bubblegum-y even though there's no pink lotus here (is it this particular lily note combing with the orris or something?). The orris and pale amber notes add a powderiness to the scent, and there's nothing that the clove and lavender can do to make the cloying floral and powdery aspects of this scent enjoyable for me. I kept recoiling whenever I sniffed this, so I guess this was just a particularly bad fail for my skin chemistry.
sudenmorsian Report post Posted May 8 This is an interesting one. Lily and orris root are the main players here, but I do get the lavender smoke and clove, too. Orris root along with lilies are always difficult ones on me and it tends to turn soapy on my skin, and this is not an exeption. I think I can't find amber or myrrh. I think the lavender smoke and clove are lovely in this, but lily and orris root are too much soap to my liking.
SmellsPrettyGood2Me Report post Posted May 9 100% fancy hotel bathroom spray. I can see Disneyland Paris making this a signature scent in one of their properties. On my skin there is also a weird sort of plasticky undertone that I'm not enjoying. A rare scrubber for me.
