BPAL Madness!

Recommended Posts

Lilac and salt on the first spritz, very fresh and floral. I can't stop using it! My hair is so silky and smells like a spring wind!

HOW does the Lab make things smell wet?? I don't get it, but I also don't need to understand it to appreciate it. This is beautiful. It's not salt that's doing it, nor is it what i imagine when I think of 'aquatic' smells. It's more like the wet quality of The Last Unicorn or the most recent Sturgeon Moon. I imagine that's the wild lettuce in the former, akin to the 'sweet fresh water' in the latter. Dunno. And I wouldn't call this a green or blue scent as I normally think of those. The watery quality keeps the floral and herbal notes from feeling too heavy for hair. Nailed that diver standing seaside vibe. Delicate but not fussy. Gonna be perfect for summer hair. Getting a full bottle of this magic.

Salty, watery, lavender and lilac. The salt and lilac reminds me of Lavender, Sea Salt, and Rain, though the water is different from that one. Definitely more of an ocean water smell here. I really love BPAL's aquatics so I was super excited about this one. The florals are more herbal than flowery, the salt isn't overpowering, and everything is pretty well balanced by the water. This one also doesn't morph much. It stays for a while with good throw.

I want a bottle of this one. Very much.

This is very fresh and clean on me, with a feeling of salt spray against rocks. The floral notes are both very light, though I get more lavender than lilac. There's something in this that reminds me of more commercial fragrances, though certainly fresher in feel. On me I don't get a ton of either throw or longevity compared to the other hair glosses I've tried; it gives more of an ineffable atmosphere in my hair.

This is very pleasant, but I was hoping for something more intense as both a floral and an aquatic. I imagine it will appeal to many, but it's not for me.
