doomsday_disco Report post Posted February 5 Lilac-stained labdanum casting a long shadow across a flicker of frankincense smoke and ambergris accord. Odilon Redon
OxfordComma Report post Posted February 10 (edited) Fuuuuuck this is so pretty. Lilac is the star on me but this lilac is being anchored by the other notes. The labdanum is not cola, the frankincense smells like the one from Midnight Mass etc, but it's not as much in the spot light. This notes list sounded like a slamdunk for me and I was right! Throw is great, longevity seems solid. All around win. Edited February 10 by OxfordComma
roseus Report post Posted March 16 All resins in the decant to my nose, sticky sweet but somehow light and sort of airy at the same time. A slight fizz. Labdanum has been something of an It Girl note for me lately and this blend is no different. I find it a touch fizzy in this blend, made a bit lighter I think by a brighter leaning frankincense (not quite lemony but not super woody either) and airy-musky ambergris. The lilac is not prominent on me, just a light touch of it in the dry down. Resin lovers take notice!
SmellsPrettyGood2Me Report post Posted May 10 Soft, and sweetly pretty in a delicate powdery sort of way, it whispers instead of shouts. A very wearable summer "floral" that would also make for a great bedtime scent. The smoke is definitely incense based and not charred or harsh in any way. Ghostly and ephemeral, but with moderate longevity. Sits quite close to the skin.
sudenmorsian Report post Posted June 25 Somehow I managed to forgot I had a decant of this one and found it yesterday. When I got my decant couple of months ago, I thought this is nice but needed to investigate it further later, and the later seems to be now, when it's almost too late. But this is so good I'm lacking any words. If you like labdanum and resins in general, you're going to like this, but lilac makes this scent slightly sweeter, a bit floral and lighter, this is not at all heavy. Frank smoke is gentle and church incense-like. This is incense scent for summer. Truly beautiful. This is so freaking good, just go and grap yourself a bottle while you still can!
