Brianna Gemini Report post Posted January 28 This is much...brighter? Vibrant?...than expected! It is a little powdery, a little sweet, a little fuzzy fresh green (not sharply herbal).... definitely not floral forward on me but the Lily rounds out the buzzy opening.. Harkens to a more layered and complex sister version of Woman.Under The Setting Sun. (They actually layer quite nicely) It also pairs exceptionally with Mineralic Amber HG Sleeper hit. bheansidhe Report post Posted February 27 (edited) This is indeed lighter and fresher than you'd expect a bleached skull trio to smell - the lily of the valley and Spanish moss linger in the background, softly green and ghostly behind the sandalwood. It's not quite floral, not quite mossy; it's gently earthy and and woodsy, so I'm going to say it smells like a New Orleans apothecary shop with antique wooden shelves lined with jars of rootwork ingredients, plus the trickle of a well-heeled customer's expensive, understated perfume wafting from behind the curtained "consultation alcove." Overall a very gentle, wearable blend, but subtly eerie if you perceive its hint of sweet, vegetal decay. Edited February 27 by bheansidhe
artisjok Report post Posted April 20 (edited) Three Human Skulls goes on as lush florals and scratchy sandalwood, reminiscent of the texture of dried bone and the line marks in the illustration. The floral combo reminds me of orange blossom. After a while, the ambrette seed’s warmth adjusts the sandalwood’s texture to a smoother experience, mirroring the parchment that the skull drawing is on. The florals hang on and there’s a bit of darkened greenery in the edges. Overall, this matches the drawing, if it’s placed near a window overlooking blooms. I hoped the lily of the valley would be prominent, yet failed to register the nagarmotha when I read the notes. Still enjoying! *edit to say for some reason I was thinking narcissus for nargamotha, so I guess the lily of the valley is the only floral! Just doesn’t smell like greenish watery flower I’m used to…. Edited April 20 by artisjok
