Red musk, red pepper, and honeycomb.

I thought that Seventeenth Lash might be similar to The Infernal Lover (which was honeyed red musk) but Seventeenth Lash isn't as heavy, sweet, or rich as that blend.  Honey is an iffy note for me, but the honeycomb here is just so pretty.  It leans towards what I'd call a clean and delicately sweet honey.  The red musk isn't as heavy handed as usual, but it's definitely there underneath the honey, giving off its usual fruity/ red wine / warm musk type of thing.  After a couple hours, it's much the same, but I also keep thinking it smells a bit like a salty skin musk drizzled with honey.  I was worried about the red pepper, but there's nothing spicy or vegetal that I can discern.  It's very smooth and easy to wear.  I want to full size this one before it leaves the site.

I originally passed this over amidst a crowded field of Yules this past year. I am so glad I got to try it before it came down! 

 

Greater than the sum of its parts, this smells like red fruits (strawberry, raspberry and maybe plum?) mixed with a decently thick musk. Thankfully, no pepper is present here, and the honey is a trickle instead of a glob. Very warm, fragrant and wearable, with moderately strong projection.

This is amazing! I’m surprised there’s not more reviews on this, it’s so feminine but also adult smelling. It extremely sweet and on the cusp of being fruity, if you weren’t huffing and analyzing really aggressively I don’t think anyone would guess fruit. It’s kind of the dream scent of what a teen would want from bath and body works. It’s very sophisticated smelling without being powdery but also sweet and really well blended, I wouldn’t be able to pick out any of the scent notes but it’s so good I don’t care it’s just a mysterious amazing conglomerate of smells.
