samanare Report post Posted December 19, 2024 I was curious about this combo and unfortunately, that curiosity did not pay off. On me this duo is at odds. I can pick out both, the pumpkin more so. And it's a fall, slightly spicy, meat of pumpkin note, while the bergamot is even fresher and citrusy in comparison. It's like a tried to mix orange juice into my pumpkin spice latte. At least for me, the two are too much at odds, and the combo almost goes minty when I'm not trying to smell one or the other.
doomsday_disco Report post Posted January 8 This is a cinnabomb on me, sadly. I am not able to detect any bergamot whatsoever. This is unexpectedly one heavily-spiced pumpkin. I was expecting a non-spiced, sweet, fleshy pumpkin like in White Pumpkin Extrait, with the addition of some bergamot. Alas.
theredkilt Report post Posted January 10 (edited) I was expecting a lighter and zingier take on Embalmed Pumpkin, but was greeted by a cinnamon-forward Pumpkin Floss base coupled with a pale shadow of bergamot. Later on the cinnamon becomes stronger and ticklish and the bergamot grows slightly sour. It's an unusual combo. Edited January 10 by theredkilt
torikitty Report post Posted February 6 I don't pick up much bergamot at all. I agree with the spicy, meaty pumpkin note. I guess being white pumpkin this has more of a sweetened, musky note? This reminds me of a spicier version of the atmo spray White Pumpkin Extrait. While it's disappointing that I'm not getting bergamot, I've still happy to have something that seems mostly White Pumpkin.
SmellsPrettyGood2Me Report post Posted 17 hours ago In the bottle, white rind and a hint of spice. On skin, the changes start to happen. You know that new-plastic-coated-wire smell of a charging cable that accompanies the purchase of an iPhone or Macbook? That plus cinnamon (ratio 1:25 of plastic pumpkin cord to spice) is the first 10 minutes of this scent upon application. Around 30 minutes in, a wet dog smell begins to emerge and does not quit for the next hour. Bergamot? I don't know her, but I wish she was here to save me. Much improved 2+ hours later on lingering drydown, and I finally feel like I could wear this outside of the house without possibly offending someone. My skin is simply not worthy of the potency here. Unexpectedly robust projection even with the teeniest dab and very long sillage (7+ hours). If you are cinnamon sensitive this is not one you want to blind buy.
