lady-logistikon Report post Posted April 9 For most of this oil's life on the skin, it is white-floral-forward, with the backdrop more of a sheer mesh of the darker notes than a hard/heavy presence. It's not as powerful as other white florals I've tried, but it's definitely still a floral-lover's oil. If you're worried this will be too dark because of the other notes, though, it won't be. Even on the drydown, the myrrh/ink just serve to sort of... preserve the flower in question, give it a sturdy metaphorical book in which to be pressed. (Actual book smell not included.) Kimmie Report post Posted April 19 (edited) Snowdrops are my favourite flowers, so this was a no-brainer to buy. In the bottle, initially I can only detect the greenery, like the first hardy shoots to appear. On the skin the bud comes out, an unexpectedly soft white floral. It's not stark on me, the edges are softened before it eventually evens out. After some time, the greenery is gone and only the soft white floral remains, like the hazy memory of a long-forgotten kiss goodbye. Quite lovely. samanare Report post Posted May 7 A green and inky scent. The spring greens is by far the strongest note on me and it's a very fresh, vibrant green scent. The next strongest is the ink note. Combined with the green note, smells deep and almost fresh as well. It brings to mind an ink pot spilled beneath big fresh, slightly dewy, full leaves. There's a very light white musk to the scent, providing more of a slight haze than anything else. I don't get snow from this, especially with how fresh and strong the green note is. Also, slight warning, as this scent goes a little soapy on me. But overall, a strikingly vibrant green plant scent, spilled over with black ink. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
doomsday_disco Report post Posted May 8 This is mostly about the snowdrop on me. I get some ink in the background during the first hour or so of wear when the snowdrop is more white than green, but then it is overtaken by an almost bubblegum-y floral phase before it settles into a more green snowdrop with no ink. And the myrrh never showed up on me. It was fun to get to try this, but I didn't love the middle morph of this scent, and I was personally hoping for more ink! monocainsheresy Report post Posted Friday at 12:06 AM (edited) Agree that this is almost entirely snowdrop. "Stark white and spring green" is a very accurate description. Strong white floral but also very bright dewy green. I get a slight (very slight) bite of something darker underneath but can't pick out the ink or myrrh distinctly. I also get the bubblegum impression that doomsday_disco mentioned. Overall it weirdly reminds me of general catalog Dragon's Blood? That's a very wet floral scent on me, and though these two smell nothing alike Galanthus Nivalis seems to be distantly related. Imagine GC Dragon's Blood but white instead of red.
