Snow-covered bamboo reeds, white pear, plum blossoms,
honeyed green tea, and Japanese narcissus.

The snow note here is sharp, icy and a bit sour, like in Prague or Morning at Fuschlsee. I smell the pear and sharp icy sour snow. After some rest, the sourness subsides and the blend comes into itself. A gentle icy sweetness, possibly the honeyed green tea  element, with fruity undertones from the plum and pear.

I’m very glad I gave this scent a chance to rest overnight! When I tried it fresh from the mailbox it was…rough

now it’s a cool sweet smell, with something that smells a little aquatic to my nose.

This is gorgeous! Probably need to appreciate narcissus, as I do, but the honeyed tea and pear gently sweeten this sharper, headier note so nicely, and plum provides a stunning complement. I had to fish out Astronomical Twilight for a plum/narcissus comparison, but that one seems to have mellowed with time and this is so bright and fresh!

The snow is not a sweet snow, more of a crisp, outdoorsy atmospheric. Truly I just want to bury my face in the crook of my elbow for the rest of the day.
