    St. Expedite’s Fast Luck

This one is like a combination of Prayer's of St. Expedite and Golden Blessings - its got that deep red from Prayers, combined with the golden mica from Golden Blessings. It smells like vanilla and cinnamon to me. As a luck blend, this is definitely tied to St. Expedite. I am not sure that this is a blend that I resonate with, but I'm giving you decanting impressions of this one.

    Golden Blessings of St. Expedite

This is one hell of a golden oil - optically and as a scent. It's deep golden, with the little golden mica pieces floating about, and smells like amber, honey, and resin. To me this is definitely a 'money' blend. It has alot of the same feel as some of the other prosperity blends, but definitely catching some Jupiterian oomph from this. Out of the 3 St. Expedite blends, this one is the one that I felt the most comfortable with.

    A Prayer to St. Expedite

Very deeply watermelon red, fuchsia mica, and in general its the red color you associate with Catholic saints and their red candles. It smells like cake to me (mainly the vanilla and cinnamon). It's a very cozy and comforting scent. St. Expedite is not someone I have really done anything with, but it gives off a very clear impression. ETA: I haven't used this to petition St. Expedite, but I have used it to thank him. I had an issue come up before the order arrived, made my first petition to St. Expedite, and the matter was resolved in a super easy peasy manner that I almost fell over. I anointed a beeswax candle with Prayers, and offered both chocolate and cake to St. Expedite as a thank you. The oil smells deliciously of cinnamon. St. Expedite came through for me, and it was great to have this oil to give thanks and appreciation for his help. Coincidentally, the oil was created on my birthday so it has super extra special meaning for me.

Wolves in the Woods Hair Gloss

Soft fur, pine needles, and a whiff of skin, silk, and leaves. It's what you imagine, but because its such a soft scent, its much more approachable. Gender neutral.

    Endless Night Bath Oil

Honeyed opium pod, blackberry, bay leaf, tobacco, and indigo musk. Bay leaf, opium, touch of musk and blackberry. This one is a little more floral than I expected. But the bay leaf is coming through. I enjoy both the blackberry and musk in this. This is like sinking into a pool with dark purple water.

    Paris Gargoyles

Oudh and stone. I get more of the musk as it dries, but in general its a very stone-heavy blend on me. It's much lighter than you expect, and it has almost a green tea note to it for me. But yeah, oudh and stone. It's playful, and sort of a clean smell. Good throw and wear length.

    Peugeot Punch

I really got lime violet aftershave. It was sort of gender neutral, going toward masculine. If you enjoy fougeres, seek this one out. Good throw, but medium wear length.

    Berliner Dom Antics

Soft gingerbread, and I get a whiff of anise, and snow and sugar. It's actually a very comforting sort of holiday blend. Medium throw, medium wear length.

    Heart-Shaped Beanie on the Metro

Sugary rose and orange blossom. This is a definite sugary floral blend. If you like either Hope or Faith, I would give this a whirl. Medium throw and wear length.

    The Palace of Versailles

Dreamy, indolent jasmine. This is the jasmine for the rich. It's dreamy, pure, and very very concentrated. Good throw and wear length.

    Super Spies

This is in the Spy Museum of Berlin and believe me, it is full of spy stuff. There was a game of trying to sneak under and over lasers and here is an infrared image of me attempting it. It is hard to concentrate and be sneaky when a 9 year old is laughing and yelling behind you that the lasers are going to get you. Pulses of infrared: red musk and electric bergamot with eucalyptus leaf, white pepper, lime, and lemon peel. Citrus detergent. That is what it smells like on wet. However, as it dries I get more of the red musk and pepper, so I get citrus, red musk, with a whiff of pepper. So very strange. Medium throw and wear length.

    The Scarlet Horror

In an assembly of phantasms such as I have painted, it may well be supposed that no ordinary appearance could have excited such sensation. In truth the masquerade license of the night was nearly unlimited; but the figure in question had out-Heroded Herod, and gone beyond the bounds of even the prince’s indefinite decorum. There are chords in the hearts of the most reckless which cannot be touched without emotion. Even with the utterly lost, to whom life and death are equally jests, there are matters of which no jest can be made. The whole company, indeed, seemed now deeply to feel that in the costume and bearing of the stranger neither wit nor propriety existed. The figure was tall and gaunt, and shrouded from head to foot in the habiliments of the grave. The mask which concealed the visage was made so nearly to resemble the countenance of a stiffened corpse that the closest scrutiny must have had difficulty in detecting the cheat. And yet all this might have been endured, if not approved, by the mad revellers around. But the mummer had gone so far as to assume the type of the Red Death. His vesture was dabbled in blood –and his broad brow, with all the features of the face, was besprinkled with the scarlet horror. When the eyes of Prince Prospero fell upon this spectral image (which with a slow and solemn movement, as if more fully to sustain its role, stalked to and fro among the waltzers) he was seen to be convulsed, in the first moment with a strong shudder either of terror or distaste; but, in the next, his brow reddened with rage. “Who dares?” he demanded hoarsely of the courtiers who stood near him — “who dares insult us with this blasphemous mockery? Seize him and unmask him — that we may know whom we have to hang at sunrise, from the battlements!” Blasphemous mockery: blood musk and vetiver. Smoke and bloody musk. This is dark, brooding and a little disturbing. Medium throw and wear length.

    Schiachperchten

Dark chocolate and pepper. Very chocolately and very spicy, and then as it dries you get whiffs of cardamom. Nice. Medium throw and wear length.

    Mr. Morse’s Seances

Musky tobacco, rum, twist of sugar and teakwood. It smells like a nice elderly gentleman perfume. Debonair. Sophisticated. Very classy. Medium throw and wear length.

    Cadences and Shakes

Soft pink roses, white sandalwood, and a whiff of both rose geranium, and frankincense. This is a nice, old, timey sort of floral blend. The pink pepper prevents this from sinking into the too floral, the too rosey, or the too old timey. Medium throw and wear length.

Matsutake and Red Clam Atmosphere Spray

I get a ton of tomato leaf, oakmoss, and a whiff of pink pepper. This is mainly a very green tomato vine blend to me. Which is great because I love tomato leaf.

    Pele Silk Soap

Whimsical, temperamental, radiant and ravishingly beautiful Goddess of Volcanoes, Fire, Lightning and Dance. She is the Mother of Eruptions and the personification of destructive power. Volcanic eruptions are said to be a side-effect of her jealous rages and her epic quarrels with her siblings are legendary. This soap embodies her gentler, benign aspect as the capricious Goddess of Dance: muguet and Hawaiian white ginger enveloped by warm, damp tropical blooms. I've really enjoyed the new BPTP soaps this go around. This one is a light tropical creamy floral scent with touches of ginger. It was nice and pleasant, good lather, and again not drying. Thanks BPTP!

    Dione

Dark syrupy labdanum with a whiff of lavender. It's a dark, rooty, cola with some lavender whafting on top. Medium throw and wear length.

    Rimmon Soap

Given that this bar is almost 9 years old, holla at the quality folks. This still smells vaguely of tart, rich, sweet pomegranate. Not a ton of fragrance throw, but it's there. Good lather, love it.

Snickerdoodle Coffee with Hazelnut Cream Atmosphere Spray

Coffee, with cinnamon sugar, and hazelnut cookies. Foodie, warm, coffee. Love it.

    The Musical Seances

Red sandalwood, leather, and a whiff of tonka. So yeah, sandalwood and leather. Good throw and wear length.

    Protoplasmic Ooze

Gin, lime, a gentlemen's fougere. And yeah, I really quite like this. It's green, fresh, limey. Medium throw and wear length.

    Lycan Lace

Dusty rose, vanilla, and a touch of pine. And then the drydown you morph into something sort furry, and definitely smells like spilled blood. Oddly enough, it's much more approachable on wet, and ends up much much more disturbing as it dries down. Like straight out of Clive Barker disturbing. It's like discovering your dog has rabies. Yeah. No Bueno. Medium throw and wear length.

    Vampire Lace

A ton of white musk, and lily vanilla. It dries down to a more red-musk tinged blend and the tobacco, agarwood, and hints of black leather and balsam come through. On wet, it's this weirdly white floral aggressive (and I mean super aggressive) and then very slowly changes into this red-musk sexual overtones and everything sexy that you can think of. Good throw and wear length.

    The Red Death

The “Red Death” had long devastated the country. No pestilence had ever been so fatal, or so hideous. Blood was its Avatar and its seal –the redness and the horror of blood. There were sharp pains, and sudden dizziness, and then profuse bleeding at the pores, with dissolution. The scarlet stains upon the body and especially upon the face of the victim, were the pest ban which shut him out from the aid and from the sympathy of his fellow-men. And the whole seizure, progress and termination of the disease, were the incidents of half an hour. Splatters of red musk, bruise-purple violets, vetiver, and pimento. Violets on wet. As it dries I get vetiver, pimento comes on strong, and its got a musky overtone. Huh, pimentos. I don't think I've ever smelled it as strongly as I do in this blend. To end, musky pimentos. Medium throw and wear length.
