    Ded Moroz

Maybe my skin is funny, but I get no mint from this blend like others have mentioned. It's all warm amber, woods, and a bit of greenery. I'm not usually a fan of scents like this, but this is beautiful. I'll end up buying a bottle of this before the Yules come down.

    The Season of Ghosts

A scent created to burn away sorrow: bergamot, frankincense, rose geranium, ginger, lemongrass, and blood orange. This is primarily a bright, strong, citrus scent. It's on the sharp side and is reminiscent of cleaning supplies. I'll pass on this one.

    Now Winter Nights Enlarge

Primarily red musk and carmel. Doesn't change too much from start to finish. This reminds me of a blend I've tried before but I can't recall what. At any rate, not one I'd wear with any frequency. Pass.

    El Dia de los Reyes

At first this is a beautiful blend. It's a chocolate/cinnamon/coffee scent that I can't stop sniffing. After about two hours all of the other notes fade away and all that's left is a powdery chocolate sent, similar to Gelt. I love the scent for the first two hours but then it turns 'meh'.

    The First Soft Snow

I totally agree with the previous reviews that compare this to Snow Bunny. It's mostly the Lab's snow note, with a bit of pine and a touch of floral. It's okay, but I prefer other snow notes so I think I'll pass.

    On Darkness

I was so disappointed when I missed out on this blend last year, I was excited to try the 2009 version. At first this is a light floral blend, but quickly the other notes come out and it becomes, rich, dark, and sweet. I'm not sure what it is about the combination of these notes, but this works in a really beautiful way for me. Define bottle purchase.

    The Fruit of Paradise

This starts out incredibly fruity, it's so sweet it's almost headache inducing. After a bit it mellows down and then adds a deeper richer element. It's okay, but definitely not my type of scent.

    Joulumuori

This is a spicy, warm, slightly foody scent on my skin. I like it.

    Feeding The Dead

Buttery bread. I don't get a whole lot of incense from this blend, or cake really. On my skin it smells like a piece of bread with a thick helping of butter. Not something I'd reach for often.

    Joyeux Noel

Lots of pine in this blend. This is primarily pine, with a hint of metal. Very evocative of a Christmas tree covered in tinsel. Cool scent, not something I'd want to smell like.

    Bathroom Incident

This is a bright, cold, floral blend on me. Pretty soapy without any hint of surface cleaner. It fades pretty quickly, two to three hours later and it's gone. It's nice, but not nice enough to get a bottle of.

    Conservatory Tableaux

For the first 10 minutes this smells like a wood varnish. Pretty harsh, the fumes others have mentioned is dead on. I only start to like this blend about an hour into having it on. It eventually calms down and sweetens up. Not a whole lot, but it's a sweet wood primarily with a bit of, at least to my nose is, leather. I like the more advanced stages of drydown, but the first hour was pretty rank so I'll pass on a bottle.

    Lightning

I'm not a huge ozone fan but this is okay. It's ozone, with a watery vibe, it's unisex and not something I can see myself reaching for. Swaps pile.

Manus Dei (or the Typewriter Incident)

My great-grandfather was a watchmaker, this smells like he did after he worked on watches. Metal, oil and a bit of green sweetness. This is going into my swaps pile.

    Unfortunate Shopping Cart

This is a very masculine blend, it smells like a man's cologne or aftershave. It's metal and ozone to my nose with maybe just a touch of blood. I'd never wear this so it'll go into my swaps pile.

    Masquerade

At first this blend isn't so bad, there's a bit of orange and a little spice, not wonderful, but it's okay. Then about 30 minutes later it turns into patchouli and something that smells a lot like cedar. Definitely not for me.

    Eris

This scents is very sweet, a strong combination of bubble gum and fruity candy. When first applied there's a bitter, nasty note beneath the sweetness which makes this terrible for the first 10 minutes or so. After that the blend becomes exclusively a sweet candy scent again. Interesting, but not one of my favorites.

    Sugar Cookie

2008 version - This is a warm, buttery, cookie scent. It has a touch of spice, maybe there's a bit of cinnamon in this, but it's barely detectable. This blend stays true to it's name but only sticks around for about 3-4 hours.

    Loup Garou

I get a ton of pine from this blend. Nothing too complex, just pine. Interesting, but not something I'm into.

    Lilith vs. the Giant Crab

Great blend. This is mostly creamy tangerine on me. It's smells a bit like candy, but isn't a foody blend (if that even makes sense). Unfortunately this fades quickly on me, otherwise, I'd hoard it like crazy.

    Robin Goodfellow

This is primarily musk and moss. When first applied I detect a bit of sweetness, but that quickly burns off leaving a masculine scent. It's interesting, but not something I'd wear.

    Black Opal

I can see why people are comparing this to Antique Lace. It seems to have a similar vanilla scent to it, but the feel is different. Black Opal has a cooler tone to it and is much more understated than Antique Lace. I really like this scent, but since Antique Lace is so similar and I already have a bottle of that, I don't think I'll pick up a bottle of Black Opal.

I Fell in Love with a Floating Brain

Cake, cake and cake with a side of spicy strawberry. This is sweet, but fortunately the carnation keeps it from becoming too sweet. I'm not getting any grapefruit out of this, but that's fine by me. This blend easily hits my 10 ten favorite scents ever. Yum!

    Death Cap

I really dislike dirt notes from the lab. None of them have ever worked for me. This is a bit different. This is a creamy, coconut blend that I love. But every so often I'll catch a whiff of the dirt note lurking underneath the surface. This blend gives me conflicting feeling. On one hand it's quite lovely, but then there's this terrible note that will sometimes pop up. I'll have to retest this one.

    Alecto

This blend has a mellow, sweet scent that is trampled by cedar. The cedar in this blend overwhelms all of the other notes. Rating - 1.5 out of 5
