    Sugar Skull

MMmm love at first sniff! This one changes quite a bit on me. In the bottle it's just sugary sweetness. Once it gets on my skin it goes much more syrupy and ...darker, I guess... and then, THEN the fruits start to come out. Yummy!

    Trick or Treat

Hmm... I have yet to decide how I feel about this one. It smells really good to me in the bottle - sweet & butterscotchy. When I put it on it has properties that remind me of Gingerbread Poppet and Sugar Skull but definately is a scent of it's own. Immediately it goes all burny and my skin gets red. Hmm...I smell cinnamon, I think that must be it? Then it gets all funky and plastic smelling. *CRY* Why must my skin DO this to otherwise wonderful scents. I'm bummed. Maybe this will work as a room scent.

    The Star

Mmmmm I *heart* the Star!! It totally is very Spookyesque ...I get a nice n' strong combo of coconut and mint - but without the weird plastic smell that my skin does with Spooky so YAY! *adds to bottle wishlist*

    Nocnitsa

In the bottle this one was a sharp pine. I immediately was turned off and hesitated to try it. HOWEVER, as I have learned with many BPAL scents, the magic is in the application and the changes that occur thereafter. It takes about 5 minutes but then the attack o' pine dies down and it becomes a very pleasant, somewhat sweet woodsy berry smell. I Loooooooove. I'm thinking 5mL!! It also has very good staying power. It is one that rather than being overpowering it simply envelops you with nice refreshing wafts of yum throughout the day - if that makes sense.

    Tintagel

Mmmmm Yummy. In the bottle it was fruity and candyish. When I put it on - it totally morphed into a yummy spicy cinnamon scent. It tingles a little but no red spots so we're good. It screams fall harvest to me. I imagine sitting inside on a crisp night surrounded by a festive feast. Unfortunately, it also screams candle to me. Yet...it's still soooo yummy I might have to big bottle it. We shall see, shall see. The big bottle wishlist is quickly becoming rediculously large.

    Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo

I loooooove this one! MMmmm: It's fruity and cotton candy and constantly changing and - of course - HAPPY! For some reason this made me think of Willy Wonka. Kinda random, but it makes sense, I promise! It's a unique tasty candy treat for your nose! *adds to bottle wishlist*

    Dragon's Tears

Hmm.... aquatic, salty, kinda floral - LOVELY! I was pleasantly surprized by just how much I like this one. It makes me think of a beach in a fantasy book - surrounded in flowers and faeries and magic and - um...dragons! (someone's been reading too much fantasy lately?). For some reason it also makes me think of Kings Quest. Yes, the computer game. I have NO idea why. I am offically a ) weird and b ) a nerd and c ) want to play Kings Quest. Regardless, this has rocketed up to one of my faves. I'm thinking bottle!

    Temple of Dreams

MmmmMm I really *love* this one. It's nice and herbally lavendar. Very soothing. I'm a constantly stressed and headached kinda gal and I find scents like this very calming so I definately think it's a keeper. After a couple hours the herby seems to fade and it's a sweeter lavendar. Mmmmmm. I'm going to have to try some of the other Dream Forumlas now and I think I see bottles in their future!

    Rose Red

This is one of my favorites. I cannot fathom how a smell this accurately green and rosey lovely could ever be captured in a purfume, but it's been done. One of the other notable strengths in this blend is its potency. It is one of few scents other people have noticed on me. Just a little goes a loooooong ways. It even combats an entire pool full of cholorine. I swim at lunch and I was kickboarding and I was trying my darndest to figure out why the pool smelled like roses and then I was like...Ooooo - duh. And now, after my swim & shower usually I still ooze chlorine smell and it grosses me out but today... I can only smell Rose Red & it's not even tainted by the chlorine. Quite pleasant for a change. I know what I'm gonna wear on days I swim now.

    Midwinter's Eve

In the bottle: Cough Syrup. This was my first order of BPAL and I almost put it directly into the swap pile. But then, I decided to give it a try on. Thank goodness. I learned a VERY important lesson. On my skin: After a few minutes the cough syrup goes away and a lovely, nostalgic berry flavor emerges. It is sweet and juicy and wonderful. It reminds me of my tinkerbell kiddy 'make up' I wore when I was little. Unfortunately, this one doesn't seem to last long on me, but it's all good. The decision: I'm so keeping this LE. It isn't my favorite, but it makes me happy.

    Tzadikim Nistarim

Hmm....this one seems like I should like it... and really, I WOULD -- BUT I can't get rid of that weird underlying smell that for some reason remindes me of some medicine I took as a child. Whatever it is, it amplifies when I put it on my skin. I have tried this one three times and I'm gonna have to give up. I just can't shake it. The decision: It's a swapper.

    The Hesperides

This one is my favorite so far. The smell makes me feel so happy, earthy, alive and twinkly, that it had to be a winner. I was kinda shocked. Who knew apples and wood could be so lovely as a purfume? But it is. For me it smells exactly the same to be in the bottle as it does when it is applied. I can't stop smelling myself when I put it this one on. It is extraordinarily addictive. However, it does go away faster than I would like. The decision: First non-LE bottle order, hands down

    Velvet

This one smells fantastic in the bottle. As other people have said - It makes me feel warm and snuggly. It gives me the same feel as when I'm cuddled up with a blanket and hot cocoa on a cold winters day. Unfortunately, after I apply it only takes 10 minutes or so until the Sandlewood overpowers everything else. Altho I'm not particularly opposed to Sandlewood I don't really need to smell like it all day. However.... a hour or so later and I like it again. Weird. It didn't get it's lovely bottle scent back but it's closer to it. I'm kinda enjoying it. Hmm.... The decision: I really can't decide if I like this one or not. I think I'm going to have to put it thru more testage to decide if it's bottle-worthy.

    Sacred Whore of Babylon

Mmmmm....this makes me feel fiesty! All I'm really picking up on in the scent is spicy goodess o' plenty. For some reason it makes me want to dance. Sacred Whore is all about the strength. Most oils wear off me in a matter of hours. I have been wearing this one for 16 hours now and I can STILL smell it. AND I have exercised and bathed. o___O. I have no idea why it's sticking it out but I guess I'll be sleeping Sacred Whore style tonight. Yeehaw. The decision: I'm pleasantly shocked to find I like this scent. It gives me a bit of a headache, but that is something I can live with. I certainly didn't expect to enjoy it and wouldn't have tried it if Rheliwen hadn't been nice enough to give an imp to me. Yay for BPAL buddies!!
