bambi Report post Posted April 25 I bought this fully not knowing what to expect, but I'm pleasantly surprised. In the bottle, this is sweet, and I'm definitely getting both the cacao and bourbon. On the skin, it becomes beautifully warm and creamy. It actually smells somewhat fruity, as well, and I'm wondering if that's coming from the raw cacao. I'm grateful that the bourbon doesn't take over, as that was the only note here I was feeling intimidated by. Overall, it's a very rich smell, so I can see myself not using it as an every-day wear, but it will likely be in heavy rotation. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I didn't know what to expect, I had no idea what bamboo would smell, but I'm always willing to try new cardamom scents and usually tolu balsam is very nice on my skin. It's difficult to tell exactly what notes I'm getting, surely cardamom cream, but everything else is very well blended. I can recognize bourbon, but it's not heavy at all. Hinoki always smells kind of misty to me, I can't describe it differently but it's like haze or mist surrounding all the other notes. I don't get anything "toasted". Cacao is also present and I think the rawness in it keep the scent from being dry at all. This is decently sweet, a bit fruity, rich and absolutely a winner.
