Madame Mew Report post Posted April 3 Got my order and let them rest - about a week? The lab’s caramelized anything can be a deal breaker and I took the chance knowing it could be a fail for me. Freshly applied to the skin, it’s the burned sugar note from sugar cookie that does not please my nose in bottle or on me. As it sits a bit, it seems to be a dissipating top note and I can detect the sticky date fruit underneath. I will definitely give this more resting time and try again since there is some promise as it warms up on my arm.
galahad Report post Posted 18 hours ago In the Bottle: ooh that caramelised benzoin is quiet cool - quite dry and bitter-sweet with the vanilla rounding out the sharpness. On the skin: primarily vanilla at the start with the benzoin coming in to cut into the vanilla sweetness. The is a slight herbaceousness just vaguely around the edges. I can't specifically pick out date but I'm sure it's there adding some body to the scent. Very nice with the added bonus of being interesting.
