BPAL Madness!

Recommended Posts

I'm getting wildflower vibes from the honey, which is a musky one, and overall this is a sweet, sultry romp. Just what I was hoping for!

The oud is very green with a vetiver quality. The honey used is closer to BPALS black honey which is grapey smelling to me. Strong incense on dry down. I like how this settles into a slightly smoky, woody musky scent.

This blends honey with the layered, woody scent of oud. I've had a few shocking encounters with oud notes -- on one occasion, I wondered if a bottle of oil had gone rancid, only to have the scent turn gorgeous on drydown. Smoke, earthy, woody oud isn't for everybody, but paired with honey, it goes down much more easily. This balanced combination would make a great introductory oud scent for someone trying it for the first time.
