Honey Marshmallow.

Do you like marshmallow? If you said yes, then this HG is for you! It’s very marshmallow forward. I was worried the honey might take over, but for me, it’s a lightly honeyed marshmallow. This would be fantastic for layering. Love it!

I agree, this one is definitely marshmallow-forward! Dare I say, it went on* a little like Boo though while Boo feels somehow like “poofy marshmallow” this scent is grounded by the honey. It’s interesting, though, that it isn’t really identifiable as honey per se. It’s a really nice scent that can be worn alone or with various other blends without clashing or interfering. No complaints here.

 

(*Since cutting my hair short again, I’ve started using HGs on my body most of the time. I typically squirt a simple, unscented lotion in my palm, then add a spritz of the HG and slather. It’s divine.)

I was hoping this would be the hair gloss version of 2019’s Honey Marshmallow bath oil. Sadly for me, while it’s similar (I’m pretty sure it’s the same honey note), it’s a much lighter, softer marshmallow than the bath oil’s thick, creamy goodness. It’s similar to Marshmallow and Candyfloss hair gloss, except warmer and not quite as sweet.

 

I still like it, if not as much as Honey Marshmallow bath oil (although, to be fair, that’s like saying “this author is not quite as good as Shakespeare”). I just wish it were stronger.
